Christie Brinkley, 54, has been granted her request to have her divorce open to the public. The trial starts on July 2 in Long Island and the sordid details will be published as soon as they’re revealed in court. It is rumored that Christie’s husband of ten years, Peter Cook, was cheating on her for over a year with a barely legal girl he hired to work at his architectural firm. Cook, 49, promised to help then 18 year-old aspiring singer Diana Bianchi with her career. He gave her a job and gradually convinced her to have an affair. People Magazine is reporting that Bianchi has been subpoenaed to testify at the divorce trial. Her lawyer said she will be honest if she’s called to the stand:
Diana Bianchi, the young woman at the center of Christie Brinkley’s split from Peter Cook, may take the stand during their upcoming divorce trial, her lawyer, Joseph Tacopina, confirmed to PEOPLE.
He said Brinkley’s lawyers have requested her to testify in the public trial set to begin July 2 in Long Island.
“She’s been subpoenaed to testify, and if called to testify, she will testify truthfully,” said Tacopina.
Bianchi made headlines two years ago when it was revealed Cook had an affair with her when she was his teenaged assistant. Bianchi sued Cook and they settled out of court last year.
Asked how Bianchi’s doing now, Tacopina replied, “She in a lot of ways is a very composed young lady and in a lot of ways a young girl.”
“She struggled with this and her family struggled,” he added. “The way it was brought to the public’s attention is not the way anyone wants to be known. It was a difficult situation and that’s why she escaped any attention from the last episode up to now.”
He declined to reveal where she’s currently living but confirmed she’s still working in the arts and entertainment industry.
“She’s a budding young singer with a terrific voice,” he says. “She’s dabbling in a bunch of things and also trying to keep her anonymity.”
When the news came out two years ago that Brinkley was getting a divorce and that her husband cheated with a young employee he hired, another woman came out with a very similar story of being hired and seduced by Cook. Singer Samantha Cole said she was also 18 and looking to launch her singing career when she met Cook. He hired her to work for him and convinced her to date him even though he had an older girlfriend at the time. They were together for about year and eventually broke up. Cook got engaged to Christie Brinkley shortly afterward and Cole said she found it surprising that he would marry a woman five years older than him.
Brinkley is also said to be claiming that Cook was into Internet porn and often looked for women on swinger’s sites. This is going to be an interesting trial.

I love how you say he “convinced” her to date him. Yeah, i’m sure these 18 year olds living in NYC are extremely nieve and have no idea what is going on. As the wife of a recovering sex addict I can assure you that “all men look at internet porn” is cr*p. “Men” who objectify women and jerk themselves off to nothing more than a few pixels have REAL problems – and their partners suffer.

A few points quickly:
1. It’s tiresome to see Brinkley painted as a scorned woman hellbent on revenge.
The truth is she wanted a private settlement and Cook refused. No doubt, in my opinion, the dirtbag grotesque only wanted the kids as a way of demanding money from Brinkley, as obviously he’s got not a moral fiber in his body.
So Brinkley said as I see it, that if it had to go to trial she’d make the dog and pony show public and tried in the court of public opinion.
In my opinion that puts the pressure on the judge to recognize that Cook is the grotesque freeloader that he is and to keep him from being “fair” by awarding time (aka Brinkleys money) with the kids.
Remember Peter the Grotesque basically sponged off of Brinkley for 10 years. He obviously married her with his unpleasant entertainment habits already formed.
The guy is scum and not anyone kids near to be around whether it’s Diane Bianchi or his own kids.
I can’t believe the actions of this guy. He had no money of his own when he married Christie, other than what he made as an architect, and that business is now dead. She paid for everything, including her own Mother’s Day flowers (which he charged to her account). What a total freak this guy is. She should have realized it a lot sooner. Now, this is all about money. He wants as much as he can get from her, and the only way he can do that is to get sole custody of the kids, so Christie has to pay hefty monthly support payments. I hope this guy gets absolutely nada.
I would rather not ever marry. ITS BEST TO BE MAN FREE AND DRAMA FREE.
