Even EYES themselves were mutations. But really, to get to the point, mutations don't make morality. The only standard we have is whether human beings treat each other well. Neither blue eyes nor consenting gay sex harms anyone. Religions don't hide their doctrines, or even worse, charge for them. All donations are freely given in a religion, and not required for spiritual salvation. This is America, and he has a right to practice any religion he wants so long as it doesn't interfere with other's rights.
