Seriously, ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS on ONE DRESS?
I’m sorry for the all-caps there, but…wow. And I’m not even some “these kids these days”-type of woman who looks down on such extravagant purchases– I just turned 23. I’m the prime market (I’m even a select market, ‘rockabilly’) for expensive duds…and I STILL would not pay that much! I feel awful shelling out over 45 bucks for a dress.
And honestly? If you saw my age there, you know I came of age during the reign of the Spice Girls. I LOVED THEM. Saw the movie, plastered my room with their posters, owned the albums, had the dolls, seeing the Spice Bus when I was 11 was the highlight of my preteen existence. But Posh…um, no. She was always my least favorite (Ginger was always number 1, we ‘gingers’ gotta stick together) I will not be patronizing her stuff, and if a little girl who dreamed of being the American Spice Girl says no way…that’s bad. I thought her ‘posh style’ was crap when I was 11, what the heck should I think 12 years later?!

I find it funny that the 1st design hasn’t even been thought of, the 1st stitch has yet to be made, yet, ho already knows that entry level is going to be 1200 bones.
Well at least upscale dust will have a place to land and take up residence, not unlike her upscale jeans that upscale gypsy moths are turning into upscale lunch as that upscale denim rots on the rack.
Hey Devilgirl, if they are on the 75% off rack will they be cheap enough for j-lo?

She can design and sell them for $1200.00 and up, however that doesn’t mean anyone will be buying them. If by some great stretch of the imagination they sell, it will be on the 75% off discount rack at an outlet store.

People who can afford to drop $1200 on a frock aren’t going to buy her crap. But If she offered it for $14.98 at Wal-Mart Jamie Lynn Spears or somebody might buy it…I say MIGHT buy it.
