Eva Longoria files for divorce 24 hours after media hissy fit (update)

I don’t judge Eva Longoria for filing for divorce – which Us Weekly claims she just did. I don’t judge her for leaving her allegedly philandering husband. But I will judge her for yesterday’s PR hissy fit in which her poor publicist was sent out on her behalf and used every threat possible to get TMZ, E! News, and People to print stories denials and stories about how Eva and Tony were not getting a divorce. Instead of coming across as a wronged woman in the middle of the media train wreck, Eva chose to pull rank and lie and scheme and bitch and moan (through her rep) for 24 hours. It says to me that Eva was more concerned with the public relations of the split than the actual split:

Eva Longoria Parker has filed for divorce from her husband of three years, San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker, UsMagazine.com has learned. The filing comes on the heels of the latest Us Weekly, which reports that Longoria Parker, 35, recently discovered that her husband, 28, has been exchanging personal texts with a mutual female friend for nearly a year — hundreds in just one month.

“Eva is heartbroken by the betrayal,” says one insider (Longoria Parker’s rep had no comment; Parker’s rep could not be reached).

The two met in November 2004.

They had a brief rough patch that year — “We were going through growing pains,” she explained to Cosmopolitan — but they worked it out.

He popped the question in 2006. “It was more than I’d imagined,” she told Cosmo of his proposal. “I was shocked, too. It was like two in the morning. He got down on one knee. He was so nervous, which is what I find so surprising and sweet. I said, ‘Honey, you know how much I want to marry you!'”

They famously wed in a $1.5 million wedding at a 17th century castle in Paris in July 2007 — in front of her Desperate Housewives co-stars, including Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman.

Baby rumors soon followed.

“Tony and I want … as many as we can have. Three, four, five,” she said in 2008. “We think about adopting too.”

The same year, the 5-foot-2 star dodged pregnancy rumors when she packed on 7 lbs. for Housewives (“I’m just fat,” she quipped).

The two appeared to be in fine shape this past summer as they celebrated his birthday and their third wedding anniversary.

“We’re thinking about it. Pretty soon,” he told Us in June when asked about starting a family. “She’s got one more year with Desperate Housewives, so we’ll see what happens.”

With their time apart, he told Us, “Skype helps a lot. As long as you both make an effort, it works … [but I miss] not being able to kiss her every day!”

[From Us Weekly]

Once again, I’m not judging her for any of the marriage stuff, just the media stuff. But I’ve wondered for a while why Eva and Tony didn’t have any babies. Do you think their marriage was always on rocky footing? Was the time never right? Did Eva or Tony just keep repeating that now wasn’t the right time for their career? Did Eva always know that the marriage was going to be a disaster and she didn’t want to bring any kids into it? Hm…

Also – TMZ is confirming that Eva has filed, and they say she’s also requesting spousal support. I doubt it’s a “Bitch, are you poor?” move, and more of “That son of a bitch cheated on me and I’m going to make him pay” move. Oh, and they had a prenup! Good for them.

UPDATE: People Magazine reports that Tony was allegedly screwing around with the wife of one of his teammates. This is according to Eva, who is telling all to her BFF Mario Lopez. Eva says she’s not going to reveal the name of the baller or the wife, but that Tony cheated with the woman earlier in their marriage, and she only recently found out that they were still in contact – hundreds of texts in a month, it seems. Meanwhile, Eva gave an exclusive statement to Us Weekly, saying: “It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other’s happiness.”

UPDATE: Oh, Mario Lopez/Eva is saying that Tony screwed around with another woman too. So that makes it “two” and it’s only been 24 hours.

  1. Tony..the TIGER!! says:

    WHO DID TONY TEXT??

  2. Obvious says:

This is easy. She probably filed in Cali. Prenup or not Cali is a 50/50 state. and if he cheated she can prolly get money here.

If he filed in TX, well i’m not sure what would’ve happened.

but honestly, Eva, darling. you’ve just used all your good graces with the public yesterday.

  3. RHONYC says:

    good riddance to his douchey-face.
way to dodge a bullet on the kids thing miz eva.
get someone who deserves you, hon. 🙂

  4. Cheyenne says:

    Dump the bum.

  5. devilgirl says:

Whatever she did as far as the PR, I still feel bad for her.

  6. Girafe99 says:

I never understand why successful women require spousal support

  7. normades says:

Well, she can stop trying to learn French now

  8. Leticia says:

Why did she make such a fuss yesterday? Was it that she wanted to be the one to file first?

He seems much nicer that her. She has a chip on her shoulder.

  9. DeE says:

Men……one is not enough huh? How quickly ye get bored/distracted. Same to any cheating @$$ woman/women.

  10. Kim says:

She must have just found out he was cheating because they were on Ellen on Oct 15th all lovey dovey.

  11. Diane says:

The media crap she pulled yesterday just makes her look stupid.

  12. Hautie says:

Texas loves pre-nup’s. Rarely do they get tossed.

Obviously Tony did file in Texas and she got blind sided. Chances are she was going to be sneaky about it and he caught wind of it. And beat her to the punch.

And depending on where she claims residency… which I suspect is Texas… the divorce will end up in the court system here.

So good luck on crying for that spousal support.

I am not believing he is some kind of loser, yet. Simply cause she has a terrible reputation for being a pill.

  13. Johnny Depp's Girl says:

    More divorce drama

  14. Megan says:

I’m surprised their marriage has lasted this long!

  15. Kaiser says:

Cosign w/ Hautie – That’s a good theory! This is all about money and which state will enforce the prenup. I bet Tony actually did file for divorce yesterday in Texas, and he got there FIRST.

  16. whatever says:

Ut oh, I feel another bimbo eruption coming on.

I wonder if the bimbo has already retained Gloria Allred.

  17. lavender says:

I think you are interpretting what she did yesterday inaccurately. She only said Tony did not file for divorce, that’s all. She didn’t have a hissy fit, she corrected a mistake. Chances are they agreed that since she was wronged by his cheating she would file not him. I respect her correcting the mistake and filing herself.

  18. lola says:

I don’t feel bad for her. If she is this obsessed about her public image and frankly this pissed he beat her to the “poor me” punch then clearly there was a REASON he had a text buddy.

Jesus H. People. Not every wife is an innocent flower, you know. Sometimes they are a bitch.

  19. meg says:

All that “no divorce” crap is prolly one of the many reasons he wanted to be rid of her. She totally strikes me as one of those- you didn’t dump me, I dumped you broads. Can she go back to working at Hooters now??

  20. dj says:

Being cheated out brings out the unstable part of anyone’s personality. When you find out your reality is much different from what you thought it was previously. Briefly, it sucks and you go a little crazy. I give her a pass this time due to that factor alone. That guy is sending a seriously creepy vibe.

  21. brin says:

There should be a law that no one in Hollywood ever get married.

  22. kate 2.0 says:

@obvious – no, California will uphold a prenup if there is one. Thanks to one Mr. Barry Bonds (partly) there are certain requirements that have to be met for a prenup to be upheld, any lawyer involved would know that and make sure that those requirements were met. Trust me, I’m a lawyer 🙂

  23. Po says:

You know, what ever happened to no comment.

  24. Jezi says:

She probably didn’t know what she was going to do and the initial reaction was to keep the story under wraps. I’m sure she’s embarassed and now maybe she feels forced into divorcing him. Maybe she would’ve wanted to work it out but was afraid of what people would think of her if she stayed so you have the whirlwind divorce. I feel for her, it doesn’t matter if you have all the money in the world or if you’re gorgeous, being cheated on hurts like hell. I wish her luck.

  25. LOVE ANGELINA says:

I never thought they would really last. It was such an odd relationship. I agree about the prenup thing, Tony filing first in Texas might be a problem, lol poor Eva I hope she gets some money.

  26. Just a Poster says:

Ahh I feel bad for her. I liked them as a couple.

  27. bluhare says:

I call it Pulling a Jessica. Beat that bastard to the punch after he already beat you there.

  28. 4Real says:

“But I wanted to be the one to publically file first!!”

LOL!! She blew that one didn’t she?

They all need to get over themselves…you aren’t that special Eva that you can have a successful NBA maraige. Now don’t just take half honey…take it all! Now who’s the side piece so-called “friend”??

  29. teehee says:

She always seemed to be far mroe into the idea of a fairy tale relationship than he ever was. Wanting the photo ops, the dressing up, the going to galas and what not- she wants to be that starlet. She wants an image, I think, and he isnt into that but also apparently not the type to even have a normal relationship. He strikes me as the guy who wants to play poker with his buddies while smoking a cigar and she kind of pushed the whole lovey dovey game onto him when he wasnt ready.

  30. lucy2 says:

Bitchiness is not an excuse for cheating. I don’t get it – if you can’t be with just one person, don’t get married.
At least they didn’t rush into having kids, especially if there were troubles off and on.

I’ve been to the place where they got married. It’s lovely, but actually more like an hour out into the country, not in Paris.

  31. bubbles says:

wait, how much did they spend on their wedding? and three years later… sad.

  32. Musicfan says:

Whats hilarious about Eva asking for spousal support, is she MAKES MORE money then Tony. She gets 10 m for DH every year and about 4/5 m in endorsements. Tony makes about half of that playing for the Spurs yearly.

Also you could tell the marriage was in trouble, when Eva was “jokingly” saying she was sick of him being at home and not playing in the NBA. (He broke his wrist) but you could tell she was kinda serious.

Oh well. Eva spends most of her time in California but Tony did claim they, lived in Texas but who knows? Of course Eva will come out better and she will be on to another ball player or NFL player.

  33. Jeri says:

No surprise, it seemed like they were seldom together. The bigger question is why get married when your priorities prevent you from being with your spouse.

Too bad her Saved by the Bell buddy has his own family and can’t follow her around any more. They were together much more often then Eva & Tony in the early years of their wedding/courtship.

  34. BIte me says:

    Two divorces huh Eva

  35. Roxanne75 says:

just when you think you have it all. Seriously, everyone gets divorced. People need to start being a little bit more picky on who they sign papers with these days. Gotta base marriage of something more/……too sad. Why do people get married anyways? Too much heartache.

  36. Musicfan says:

Eva first husband Tyler Christopher, cheated on her also. But he also cheated on his fiancee Vanessa Marcil. A lot of people in H-Town have 2 divorces as sad as that may be.

  37. Vee says:

Guys who cheat are scum, plain and simple. Eva’s divorce calculations are transparent.

    Moving on……

  38. devilgirl says:

I find it odd how people don’t feel sorry for Eva being cheated on, but have all the sympathy in the world that Brandi Glanville was cheated on. Cheating is cheating, and regardless of what a bitch the wife is, it doesn’t make what the man does right.

  39. Persistent Cat says:

So it’s bad that she made her PR people do their job? A lot of us know how this feels and our lives are private, can you imagine having to go through that in the public? So what if she wanted a little damage control. She has PR people and it’s their job to control her image.

  40. lena80 says:

I’m thinking maybe her mind was not made up 100% yesterday, and that’s why she did what she did concerning the media. But of course people will say pulled a hissy fit instead….even though she has every right to feel overwhelmed and snappish right now.

  41. Stephie says:

I guess no one famous can ever have a truly successful marriage. (well, save for a rare few). No one can ever be “enough” (pretty, thin, etc.) of anything for anyone. Pretty sad.

  42. kelBear says:

She has her own money so hopefully whatever happens he doesn’t need to give her a dime. Btw, I can’t stand Eva. Maybe she should go cry on Ken Paves shoulder since she is his new bff.

  43. junipergreen says:

Too bad she has those tattoos. Mistake in hindsight.

  44. Anaya says:

Eva’s pride and ego just couldn’t accept that she got dumped twice: the first time when Tony cheated on her and a second time when HE filed for divorce in Texas. (Where are those docs, btw?) I have a feeling he did file for divorce first. Like what does it matter when it comes to who dumped whom? She also may not have wanted people feeling sorry for her and saying, “Poor Eva.”

I don’t think too many people will feel bad for her now, not after pulling the stunt she just did with the media. I give my sympathies to Eva’s PR person for having to go through all the crap from yesterday. Poor, poor PR person. I’m so sorry for you! Get over yourself Eva.

  45. Mare says:

I like her. She had me when she came to Croatia this summer, acted completely normal and one evening ordered spaghetti bolognese and beer for dinner.

  46. gg says:

She always seemed to be in denial about their actual happiness to me. It always smelled like a rat. For starters, he’s a sports player who has a history of cheating (like all of them), right? Then all the nonstop hoopla about how Happy! they were all the time. I never buy that.

Dump him Eva for good, and get off twitter if you’re on it. And date somebody that’s NOT famous.

  47. Marie says:

Holy crap!! I read the entire article and do you know what I found shocking out of all of it? I found it shocking that TMZ reported on something other than the f*cking Lohans..That in itself is headline news.

  48. Sharopa says:

Lavish Hollywood weddings really upset me. $1.5 million for a wedding is obscene – no matter how much money you have it’s a ridiculous expenditure for something that statistically wont last more than five years. $500,000 for every year of Eva’s marriage. I wonder if they got their money’s worth?

  49. mel says:

Eva knew he was a cheater, so why did she marry him in the first place. Hard for most athletes to resist all the coochie coming their way.

  50. Jenna says:

    what a BASTARD.

  51. The Bobster says:

    What a surprise! Not!

    Tough toenails, Reconquista.

  52. nanster says:

I always thought that they seemed very happy with each other. However, I think their age difference could have been a contributing factor. But none of us will ever know the real story…

  53. wunderkindt says:

After that divorce filing ‘mistake’ yesterday-and all the denial-this HAD to happen next. KNEW IT!

  54. Me1st says:

why is everyone bashing her…she is the one who was cheated on…who cares if you like her or not, does that mean she deserved to be cheated on?

  55. Richie says:

There goes another marriage in Hollywood!!! nothing to be amazed about!!!

  56. Jeri says:

They were like Demi and Ashton but made their statements of happiness from different countries.

  57. brin says:

People is reporting that the other woman is a teammate’s wife and that he cheated earlier in the marriage (now all the crap is coming out)…she is spilling this to Mario Lopez, her bff.

  58. Camille says:

I called this yesterday when all the denials were being shouted from the rooftops. Love being right lol 😉

I don’t think this marriage was ever all that strong, I’m amazed it lasted as long as it did TBH. Too much dodgy stuff going on. I think Eva was trying to save face for a while, through all of the earlier cheating rumours, but that Parker guy is dodgy as hell. And I’m no Eva fan either, she annoys the hell out of me.

  59. Sara says:

With regard to the child thing. I would like for people to know that it is possible that many of these celebrities HAVE TRIED getting pregnant or were pregnant and lose the baby. That is why most women DON’T tell people about their pregnancy until after the first trimester. Before people think she doesn’t want babies, perhaps they just don’t want to tell the whole world they have tried and can’t. People can be so cruel when it comes to women not having children.

  60. Roma says:

Why is Mario Lopez telling People all of these details? That’s the most disturbing part of this.

  61. TG says:

As far as having a prenup, I would say good for him. I think he is the one with the most money. And Kaiser I had to laugh at your statement: “Did Eva always know that the marriage was going to be a disaster and she didn’t want to bring any kids into it?” If that is really true than I will eat my hat and commend her and him for displaying common sense almost in the George Clooney intelligence range – something Denise Richards and that other toad Sheen was married to with the twins and all the other people who have kids and then suddenly decide the man is a monster as if it wasn’t obvious before.

  62. Henriette says:

They had an open marriage. And, y’know, sometimes open marriages work but more often, they don’t because there have to be really strict rules in place that both parties adhere to and if you’re in an open marriage, it’s often because you\re the type who doesn’t like to tied down by rules. Yeah, they both slept around but Tony ended up having feelings for someone else. Not admirable, but I don’t think it’s a great surprise and I’m not sure it makes him a DO-CHE… just a guy who can’t keep f-cking around without falling for someone at some point.

  63. slymm27 says:

lol!!! Ok, hollywoodians nees to stop getting married. There should be a law stopping them from getting married. It never lasts……plus of course parker cheated….he is a guy. They all cheat eventually. Learn to stop breaking up with your man because he cheated on you, the nect one will cheat too. Dont marry them either. Thats my hmble and realistic advice. That way, you have a happy relationship, and btw i am a woman.

  64. Cheyenne says:

His teammate’s wife?! WTF is the matter with this guy? Didn’t he ever hear the old saying that you don’t poop where you eat?

Meanwhile, how many women is the teammate boning on the side?

    *Head spins*

  65. Relli says:

ok Sports people who know who his teammates are, who is it!

  66. brin says:

Of course they aren’t naming names (yet), but Extra should be interesting tonight since Mario has the inside scoop.

  67. Kiska says:

At least now she can drop “Parker” from her already long-winded name.

  68. TeeTee says:

I know someone that roommated with her and a bunch of ladies BEFORE she made it–if you’re not attractive or thin–she ignores you–heard she can be a “mean” girl…you’re NOT invited-if its up to her.

she’ll play the “victim”…her and Kim K can be single besties NOW together, smdh!

  69. Cheyenne says:

@kiska: “Long-winded name”? What’s the matter, hon, you can’t handle anything longer than Smith or Jones?

  70. Bonfire Beach says:

I feel sorry for her. She always seemed way more into him than he was into her. And the whole PR thing yesterday was probably done out of embarrassment – think about it. I’d be humiliated too, and I’m not even a celeb!

  71. jc126 says:

Ha. I knew TMZ was right on this one.
Weren’t they one of these couples who gets their vows renewed a year after the ceremony? Kiss of death, that is, with the (hopefully!) exception of Heidi Klum and Seal.
She (Eva Longoria) always seemed to be gushing more about him than he did about her. Didn’t she hyphenate their names for a while?
Pretty crappy of her to torture her publicist initially.

  72. Jenna says:

@Henriette– who said they had an open marriage? Where do you get your information from!?! This is the second weird statement I’ve seen you make on here… Just wondering where you get your facts…

  73. Roma says:

If it’s Tim Duncan’s wife, he’s going to be pissed. She runs a huge foundation for him. And Manu Ginobili’s wife just had twins. But other than those 2, no idea.

My bf gave me a 2 min rundown. He was excited his sports knowledge was useful for gossip.

  74. TG says:

@Stephie – I wonder if you are onto something about not ever being pretty enough, thin enough etc. I am thinking that just because we as the public see them as beautiful, like Halle Berry and wonder why the heck anyone would ever cheat on her I think it might be because the woman doesn’t feel good about themselves inside and is likely very insecure and that doesn’t come off as attractive around a man. I mean think of all the plastic surgery and hair treatments and skin treatments, etc these women get so the man has to deal with all of that. Beauty to me is from confidence in yourself that comes from valuing yourself on somehting other than the physical appearance.

  75. happygirl says:

Just read it could be Brent Barry’s wife (?)…I’m clueless as to who he is…I don’t watch basketball…but thought it was interesting enough to mention

  76. Musicfan says:

No way does Parker have more net worth, than Eva. When they first met? Hell yeah. Now? No way. This woman has been on one of the most sucessful shows (and still is succesful)and its been reported she makes the MOST out of the Housewives and gets 10m a year for the last 4 out of the 7 years its been on. No telling how much she will earn for the last 2 years of DH. Plus she makes about 5 m from endorsements.

Tony is not that high paid as a NBA player. He makes 7-8 million to her 15 a year. She probably didn’t figure injurys into the equation, or that she become a household name and make ALL THIS MONEY. Now she isn’t going to put up with game playing, especially when she has major holdings and is only 35.

  77. That sucks, I was really rooting for them.

  78. 6 says:

Hell yeah I would be trying to pull rank! Like being reminded every day of it is any more fun? Look at what Elin Nordegren had to endure. Don’t get me wrong, I know they are famous and in the public eye but come on.

  79. lila says:

It’s all over twipick: Erin Barry, wife of Brent Barry. Who is prettier? Eva of course, in and outside!

  80. Confuzzle says:

I always thought she was post op ts. The mo and the big hands?

  81. Lukie says:

I have nothing to say about Eva Longoria except, 35 MY ASS!

  82. Embee says:

Apparently the Barry’s are divorcing. That stuff is contagious.

  83. Catherine says:

Who can we predict will divorce next?

  84. Chrissy says:

Oh, poor Eva!!! It’s very sad for her … idiot PR crap to pull but you know she has to be really devastated. Tony is an idiot …

  85. fizXgirl314 says:

I dunno why women marry athletes, they’re big dumb animals… men are already somewhat callous a-holes (cept for my wonderful and caring boyfriend that is tee hee) why stack up the odds against you?

  86. Gymo says:

@Musicfan – Tony is far wealthier than her, your math is wishful thinking.

  87. the other mel says:

An NBA star screwing around on his wife? How original.

  88. Cynthia Roxane Angel says:

I remember seing a photo (here maybe) of Eva her ex and a couple on vacation I dont remember… in Spain or something romantic like that. And I remember looking a that photo and thinking, hum, they surely dont get to see each other very much because of careers and scedules. So I found it a little weird to be on a trip with a other couple. Probably them.

  89. slymm27 says:

@catherine….i do believe seal and heidi will join the divorce wagon next…..i believe that very soon all the hos he is def bonning on the side will show their sexts messages., and hey i do believe denzel washingtons pieces on the side will show up before summer next year……

  90. Heather says:

Well, if you’re going to cheat in the first place – why stop at just one? Screw all the cheerleaders while you’re at it.

    Rahh, rahh..

  91. original kate says:

of course they’re getting divorced; she was constantly yapping about how awesome their sex life supposedly was. everyone knows that’s the kiss of death for any relationship.

  92. H says:

go figure, a cheating pro-athlete…like DUH!!!!

  93. LolaBella says:

@Cynthia Roxane Angel: I remember those pics (on a gondola in Venice) and I thought of that couple immediately too! It was Amaury Nolasco from Prison Break and Jennifer Morrison from House.

However, since Eva has outed the other woman as a teammate’s wife(classy) I guess it’s not Jennifer. LOL.

I hope this doesn’t turn into a Tiger Woods-esque parade of skanks.

Somewhere, Gloria Allred is just cackling in anticipation. Ugh.

  94. Tia C says:

Hope she learned her lesson about not making such a big friggin deal out of the wedding. That never bodes well for the marriage. Also, as original Kate mentioned above, you know something’s amiss when someone has to yammer on about how great their sex life is with their hubby. That is always suspect. If it was really all that great, she wouldn’t feel the need to overcompensate and she’d keep it to herself. Sux to be you, Eva! Stay away from athletes in the future. 99% of them are total scumbags. Because they can be.

  95. Kim says:

Who would marry a basketball player? They ALL seem to cheat. Its just a problem w professional athletes period & i wonder why? Maybe because they are on the rd all the time and away from wife and lonely? Then dont get married in first place. I think they all just want to have their cake and eat it to.

  96. Kim says:

Im fairly sure Tony makes way more money than Eva. If he cheated he should have to pay her regardless.

  97. OXA says:

For Mare 45, there is nothing normal about cruising on luxury 41-metre-long yacht with her husband and a group of friends, the actress has stopped off in Croatia after visiting Venice and Madrid.

  98. Kim says:

I hope the teammates husband knows/finds out, dumps her cheating behind and kicks Tonys far into Sunday! LOSERS!

  99. bellaluna says:

You mean that “lucky” wedding date (07/07/07) didn’t take? DAMN; hate it when that happens.

  100. Jeannified says:

I wondered if she was high maintenance. She seems like it. I am surprised that he ever married her!

  101. Super Idiot Eva says:

Longoria is just another egotistical untalented moron, like Jennifer Lopez. Now Mario the fruity, will be blabbing forever about their dirty laundry to Longoria’s delight in making her cheating hubby look bad!

  102. devilgirl says:

Who cares if she was high maintenance, that doesn’t give him the right to cheat. They dated for years, so maybe he should have thought of her high maintenance ways before marrying her.

  103. Xx says:

    How shocking! Not really.

  104. wonderwoman21 says:

Men are disgusting creatures, self-centered, selfish, and egotistical to the core. All they care about is their own satisfaction.

  105. Liana says:

I’m thinking she wanted to file in Cali and not Texas and Tony didn’t follow the script.

  106. mimi says:

Bravo to Eva for letting the world know what a douchebag Tony was to his teammate and his wife of 7 years!! I hope she does get spousal support, she seemed like shereally wanted it to last.

  107. Solveig says:

It seems that I’m the only one on here who didn’t expect this to happen… I’m so naive! LOL

ps, he’s a douche, and an ugly one, too.

pps, the taller the man, the shorter the peen.

  108. Musicfan says:

What is wishful thinking? Its been reported by the media for over 2 years that Eva has topped Tony Parker’s earnings yearly since late 07. She is on constant commercials and she is paid 10m a year for 22 episodes on DH.

The ONLY way Tony has more money then Eva is if, he got it BEFORE 04. However since then she has been on them stupid hair commercials by herself and Beyonce for over 4 years. She had deals with Pepsi and other companys. As I said its funny how she can demand a check monthy when her EARNING power is stronger and likely the judge would look at how much she makes vs his.

Parker is not Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, or even Khloe husband Lamar. He makes way less then all of them. Lamar gets 9m a year. Tony has been hurt for how long?

  109. kiki says:

Why are we obligated to feel sorry for women who are cheated on? Sorry, but I don’t feel sorry for Eva in the least.

I did feel sorry for Elin b/c she was home taking care of 2 kids, while Tiger was out having unprotected sex with porn stars. And, Tiger had no history of that behavior. But Tony was a known player before Eva dated him. I don’t feel sorry for women who are not smart enough to avoid tools or douches, AND who think they can change a guy. Ha–that’s like placing your bets on a losing horse and then crying when you lose your money.

Cheating is wrong, but I don’t think we HAVE to feel sorry for the woman every single time. Just my opinion.

  110. la chica says:

why does she have that much concealer under her eyes? it looks gross.

  111. Jayna says:

@Slymm, no way is Seal going to cheat. He has talked about getting married after 40 was the best time. More mature, got everything out of the way, not as selfish. Not as focused on his career. He said you recognize you have met the right woman and you better step up to the plate. He wrote a whole album about his love for her, Commitment. He is 47 and adores his children and her. And Heidi is so flipped over Seal, that he won’t mess it up.

  112. Kim says:

sheesh! he’s french. what did she expect? my mother is from france, i lived there for almost 15 years, my entire family lives there. cheating is so common that when a woman marries, she knows that one day she will very likely be cheated on by her husband. affairs are very common over there. sorry for her but in france, this is how it is.

  113. maria says:

Hmmm, I always had the impression that she was the cheater in that marraige. Ooops.

  114. Stef says:

Erin Barry. That’s the girl according to my friend at SI

  115. Kit says:

I spent all day yesterday denying it to everyone who said they were getting divorced. That’ll teach me to believe publicists. Anyway, I love Eva in that Alejandro Sanz video.

  116. MissVJJ says:

It wasnt Tim Duncan’s wife.. I know some people that are friends with her, and they all say she is very sweet, and genuinely in love with Tim. It doesnt surprise me about Tony though. I’ve been to a small get together that consisted of a bunch of Spurs side coochie gossiping about the other team members’ wives, how often player so-and-so flys her out to see him for one night, and talk about their Prada bags. San Antonio native here. Oh and my bff’s uncle went to TAMU with Eva and claimed she was a “big whore”.. lol..

  117. Dannnii says:

She HAD to get it out to the media first to try and get the press on her side. Desperate, just desperate.

  118. MarenGermany says:

Its sort of mean, but when they had their “LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME” over the top publicity wedding, I sooooo knew it would be a failure.
    but whateva…..

  119. Pirouette says:

The idea that men are all cheaters and that women should just lower their standards is bullshit. It makes it easier for women to convince themselves that they aren’t deserving of and honest, respectful relationship. It teaches boys and young men that masculinity is synonymous with cheating, and does a disservice to the men who don’t.

Not all men are assholes. That logic is really freaking sexist.

  120. bored says:

So, how pissed off do you think Mario Lopez is now that Eva is single again and he has a kid and is engaged to other woman?

  121. Whitey Fisk says:

To confirm what some posters above stated, Monsters and Critics says that Sports Illustrated reporter Bryan Armen Graham wrote on his Twitter page: ‘Have it on good authority from entertainment sources that ‘former teammate’ in Tony Parker-Eva Longoria affair is Brent Barry.’

  122. Jazz says:

I forgot she even existed. Bet she’ll be getting some tabloid mileage out of it now.

  123. bambam says:

    Two affairs and counting….

  124. lexa says:

Thanks @ Pirouette for your argument! You are so right. Sadly however, as the comments here reveal, we still live in a very masculine/sexist society. Even women have adopted the way of “male” thinking – a perverted situation.
I consider myself a feminist, but it is not right to condemn all men as cheaters. It is simply not healthy for yourself and your relationship.

  125. brin says:

I feel sorry for Brent Barry, supposedly he was blindsided too….his wife was the one who filed for divorce.

  126. MSat says:

Why would anyone marry a professional athlete??? I don’t care how gorgeous and together the woman is, she is going to get cheated on. It’s part of the pro athlete culture! It’s practically encouraged! As flaky as Hollywood is, pro athletes are a million times worse!

  127. Diane says:

Oh yeah, they “love each other deeply” What a crock

  128. Elong says:

Do you think she regrets the tattoo? Or was that someone else? Thought she had his number tatted somewhere, perhaps the back of her neck? Maybe she can turn it into something off the take out menu from the local Chinese menu?

  129. Mia135 says:

I posted this on an earlier thread:

About the “all men cheat” thing: A recent study showed that men with higher IQ’s are less likely to cheat on their wives. Modern society tends to frown heavily on men who cheat, unlike in days gone by when men cheating was acceptable and even celebrated. A man who could “pull” lots of women in and outside a marriage was considered manly, especially among other men.

But the theory put forward now is that smarter men will not cheat because in this day and age to not cheat will place them higher on the evolutionary chain and they will be seen as the alpha men, revered and desired more by women – who are conditioned to seek monogamous partners to procreate with. Whereas the cheaters are seen as jackasses, losers, non-potential long-term mates and are relegated to the bottom of the male evolutionary scrap heap.

I mean, how many women will list: “He can pull lots of women” over “Faithful, honest and trustworthy” as an attractive quality in meeting a mate?

So ladies, if your man is cheating consider dumping him and going for a guy who has lots of brains and intellect (lol!)

  130. Heavenbound says:

    Thanks, Mia153! very insightful info.

  131. Kat says:

The worst thing about this article is how it talks about her “packing on” 7lbs for DH. 7lbs is not a lot. Ugh.

  132. Michael says:

    good.

  133. Newbie says:

Ugh. Must there be an entire paragraph in this post dedicated to the wonderment of missing Longoria-Parker children? My husband and I were together for 10 years before we had our daughter. We’re also very good friends with a couple who gets berated all the time with the same types of questions from family and friends. Little do those people know: said couple has been trying for children and are unable to conceive. While I’m sure Tony is an ass, as all cheaters are, there may not be a conspiracy behind why they haven’t had kids. Just saying.

  134. gayle says:

Beats me why any celebrities get married at all! Why don’t they just have the party?

  135. NBA jersey says:

    GOOD.
    Very good.

  136. LT says:

Take him to the cleaners Eva!

  137. Barry says:

The bigger question in my mind is why would a fully grown woman (28 yrs. or more) get involved with a twenty year old boy/man in the beginning? I think she had plans for him from the jump! Maybe she used him to try to make herself look and feel good,I see a pattern here. She’s an older woman with a younger man…. You get what you get! DEAL with it.

  138. Musicfan says:

Lets see she met Tony when she was 29 and was just getting famous, so that made him what 22? How does that make her diffrent from Jake/Taylor Swift? Or Ashton/Demi? Also she probably thought Tony was cute, cool and they clicked. It dosen’t make her awful.

It wasn’t like she was a normal gal in the first place. She was on the biggest show in the world at the time. So how did she have plans? Now she makes more money then his punk ass does yearly. Plus they have a PRENUP! So where was her big scheme against the douche?!

  139. India says:

Eva is classless! A list celebrities don’t flaunt their relationships and advertise their break-ups. This is Kim Kardashian, Flava Flav caliber! She is too old to cry victim, you volunteered for madness. Maybe you believe all that make-up hides your ugliness and I obsession to be famous.

  140. Lois Carter says:

I stopped liking Eva when she started acting like Jlo. She was always out there running her mouth to anyone who had a camera. Maybe now that she has crashed and burned, she’ll realize that money and fame isn’t all that and to be more humble.
