He is a real person, with the same feelings, problems and probably more challenges than most of us face. If he has to use his fame or whatever to get a little trim so be it. We all have our little gimmicks that we use in the game. I read somewhere that this girl of his came from USF (university of south Florida, Tampa), so I'm not surprised she's a skeeze. (don't ask, just trust). I still vividly remember Verne's antics on The Surreal Life, and while embarrassing for him, it's not the worst thing I've seen on reality shows.
