Last night was a big premiere night in NYC and LA. The stars of The Tempest came out for the big LA premiere. Helen Mirren is the star, but most photos were of Russell Brand and his wife Katy Perry. Is this the first red carpet they’ve walked together as husband and wife? I think it is. Which begs the question: why now? Is Katy jealous of Russell’s relationship with Dame Helen Mirren? Is Katy marking her territory? Could be. Brand made sure to stay away from fondling Dame Helen, and he kept his eyes on his wife. Katy wore Elie Saab – I actually think the dress is really pretty, but Katy has the ability to make even high-fashion couture look trashy, in my opinion. Perhaps it’s that she’s almost always in vinyl, so that when she actually wears a gown, there’s still a hint of rubber. She has a rubber soul, I think.

And Djimon Hounsou, who is in the film, brought his girlfriend/wife Kimora. I forget if they’re married, and I find the idea too depressing to look up.

Katy’s dress is GORGEOUS, but with her boobs, she has to be REALLY careful to not make things look slutty. I have the same problem. Big boobs can make REALLY cute things look super trashy.

I personally think its her makeup the eyes are way over done for the dress and also although it’s pretty it just doesn’t go with her coloring.

I really dont like Katy Perry. She bothers me in so many ways. She comes across totally selfinvolved, arrogant and bitchy.Her “act” is being a candycovered, airheaded pedophiles dream (at the age of what? 25?), always having this “blow job” expression in her face. Her boobs are always trying to distract from the fact, that the sucks. In her videos she clearly states that she cant act for shit, and I maybe would like her voice if it wasnt that shrill. She always sings at the top of her vocal range, which mostly sounda like screaming.

I think Katy’s whole look is lovely (hair, makeup, accessories, dress) except the shoes. They look a too stripperish for the ensemble. LoL
I think Perry looks beautiful, although I wish the bodice was a bit more fitted. It seems to “pouf” in a most unintentional/unattractive way around the midsection.

I agree with what has been said – Katy is gorgeous and her dress is almost there – with the exception of her lofty left breast on the verge of making an appearance and trashy shoes that take away from the elegance of the lace in her dress. Helen is a dream – Katy needs to take notes on how to dress classy and sexy w/o looking like a blow-up doll trying to look demure on the red carpet.
