Ben Affleck accidently confirms Jennifer Garner pregnancy

There have been rumors for months that Jennifer Garner is pregnant with her second child by husband Ben Affleck. Ben may have let the baby secret slip in late May during an interview with Marianne Gray. He was chatting with Gray about his movie Gone Baby Gone when the subject of working with Garner again came up. The couple first met when they worked together on the film Daredevil. While modestly putting her on a pedestal he may have admitted they were expecting another child.

He’d “love” to work with Garner “if she would work with me, but she might just want to work with a real director. And we’re going to have another baby soon now that we’ve figured out how to do it. We want lots of kids.”

[Times Online]

Ben and Jennifer were seen yesterday heading into Garner’s L.A. obstetrician’s office. Reps for both camps refuse to deny or confirm any baby news. Her recent preference for baggy tops and efforts to shield a possible baby bump by holding her two year old have tabloids theorizing that she is three months along.

These poor celebs. If pregnancy rumors started every time I was a bit bloated, I would be considered to be knocked up year round.

  2. Kaiser/ Hippacrat says:

Yep. She’s pregnant. Congrats to them.

  3. Bodhi says:

Congrats! I really like them together. Maybe now all those stupid breakup rumors will at least die down

  4. Larissa says:

I am pregnant too! congrats to me! 😆

  5. Kaiser/ Hippacrat says:

Congrats, Larissa! 🙂 How far along are you?

  6. Meredith says:

Violet seems so loved … congrats to them!!

  7. MissMara says:

Congrats to Jennifer, and to Larissa, and to me, too! It’s great to be pregnant! (most of the time, that is)

  8. lulu says:

i just don’t see the appeal of jennifer garner — she’s very plain looking…

  9. Larissa says:

Kaiser – am 7 weeks pregnant, and am still a lil bit obsessed with the whole “i´m having a baby” thing! I can´t think or talk of anything else! And I get myself all the time rubbing my tummy no matter what am doing, everywhere I go!lol
Like in an effort of ppl noticing that am pregnant, cuz they sure can´t tell yet!!!!!! sometimes I just keep there starring at ´em, hoping they will ask me how far long am I! hahahaha they probably think I am crazy!
So I´ll get a “I´m sooo pregnant” tee for myself, well, more like 10! It might help!Am just sooo sooo proud! And I don´t get it why celebs try to hide it for so long…I mean, the truth will come out eventually, and except ya are brangelina, it shouldn´t change much their “paparazzi routine”, ya know? It doesn´t make any sense to me at all!
Maybe its because I am first time mom, who knows!

    thank ya´ll!!!!:D

  10. Sylvia says:

I don’t understand why these actors make a big deal if they are pregnant or not. Or if they are married or not.

  11. anonymous says:

😉 I love these two – good luck to them!!! 😉

  12. Kaiser/ Hippacrat says:

Larissa, you’re cracking me up. 🙂 Well, good for you, and congrats again. Take care of yourself.

    And congrats, Miss Mara! 🙂

  13. Anni says:

    congrats larissa! all the best!

  14. Cowbell says:

They make a big deal because it’s private and no one’s business. You don’t know if they’ve suffered miscarriages or not. It takes a long time to feel comfortable that your pregnancy will be successful.

  15. MissMara says:

😆 Larissa, I have the same routine – trying to look more pregnant than I actually do. I’m a couple of weeks further along than you are, so I have a slight bump, which might be mistaken for a beer lovin’ lady’s belly… 😕 That’s why I have to rub it, or push it forward, especially when I’m on bus/train. There’s a special stare that goes with it: contemplative, slightly worried, tired looking, staring off into the distance… and then a sudden little joyful smile… It’s official: the hormones are driving me crazy! Lol. (and it’s my 2nd one, so that’s not it, Larissa!)

  16. Anna says:

Congrats! They are by far my favourite Hollywood couple. They are both talented, smart, beautiful and grounded, what more could kids hope for?

I hope she has fun during the pregnancy (as much as possible anyway) and that they’ll be happy with having two kids soon. Yay for them! 🙂

  17. CiCi says:

Yay! I love Ben, Jen, Vi.

Congrats to all moms to be. Now what are your thoughts on breastfeeding, vaccinations, and csection via natural? 😉

  18. Roma says:

I think that it’s awesome that they’re having another child – hopefully it’ll squash all the break up rumours.

That being said; I’m a pretty thin girl, but I look pregnant after I’ve eaten pizza. White bread does not agree with me!

  19. ri23 says:

@Sylvia: Ditto. I’ll be glad when the media is over this baby crazy crap.

  20. someone says:

Im sure the next child will be a cutie pie, just like violet…

  21. Shane says:

Jennifer Garner is a spectacular mom so I’m happy to hear she’ll bring another child into this world.

  22. I choose me says:

Aw, how cute is lil Violet. I like this couple alot. Congratulations to them if its true. I gotta ask though, is there something in the water in Hollywood? All these babies. Or is it business as usual and it just seems like there’s a baby boom because the media tends to be all up in celebs business more these days? What do you all think?

Congrats to Larissa. Are you hoping for a boy or girl?

  23. Jess says:

I think waiting a bit is a good idea before announcing it to the world. So many things can go wrong in the first trimester, especially. I have several friends who announced their pregnancies way early, and then had to announce that they had a miscarriage before 3 months. If no one else knows for the first three months, and then something happens, at least you can choose later on if you’d like to tell them or not.

I actually like how Angelina and Brad did it the last time around with the twins–you just noticed her getting a belly and figured it out. I think that’s the right idea.

  24. Mairead says:

OOOoh congrats to Larissa and MissMara

Larissa – how about we stand outside your house with cameras to give you the “obsessive paparazzo” experience 😈

And of course congratulations to the happy couple 😀 I like her but am ambivalent about him. I agree with (the comedian) Bill Bailey – Ben Affleck always his characters like a guy who’s suddenly remembered that he’s left iron on 😆

    And hasn’t Violet gotten big!!

  25. paris herpes says:

They should just have a bunch of kids anyway. It normalizes them and keeps them out of the limelight.

  26. Larissa says:

MissMara – I caught myself doing the pregnant walk once!!!! With both hands around the hips and stuffed belly…trying to look exhausted, like if I had a 6lbs baby inside! Just after I found out I was pregnant!I couldn´t believe myself!!!! hahahaha
But am totally aware that once I get there it won´t be all that fun!
Am kinda relieved tho, that am not the only one!
Oddly enough people don´t talk openly about that when we are sharing preganancy experiences,I wonder why! lol
I guess it´s probably some sort of mental training, nth to be ashamed of.

As it´s my first one I can honestly say that it can be boy or girl, it doesn´t matter, as long as the baby is healthy!such a cliché I know!
But I´ve been thinking a lot of a girl, unconsciously! I come up all the time with girl´s names and I am instantly attracted to anything girlie…don´t know if that has something to do with anything!
    Anyway,we´ll find out anytime soon!!!!!!!!

    Breastfeeding definitely a yes,
    vaccinations (check)
    natural labor (check)
unless the circunstances require a c-section! Whatever it takes for the safety of the baby, but we can never tell how things will go really, we just keep hoping for the best!!!
All I know is that am officially addicted to Discovery Health!!!! 😛

Mairead – I live in Brussels, and I reckon ya´re irish? Am up for the experiment!!!!!!
All I was saying is that when you are a A-listed celeb, you will always have them standing at your door and following ya around, that´s how the rumors started in first place, that´s why I don´t see the point…
When ya´re already showing off a baby bump! And that´s like usually after the first trimester…right?

I just think she should stop carrying Violet around like that, she is not a baby anymore…especially if she has a lil brother/sister on the way, but then again that´s just me!

  27. Syko says:

I just want to say Congratulations to Mara and Larissa, and to tell you both how cute it is that you are SOOOOO excited! I love seeing that!

  28. Bodhi says:

😀 We love babies around these parts!

  29. Lizzie says:

She seems to be a good Mom and wife. Their daughter looks just like her. Hope their other baby takes after Ben.

  30. Rosy J says:

First, congrats to all the pregnant ladies here. It’s beautiful how excited you all seem. Enjoy your pregnancies. Secondly, I want to say also how happy I am for the Afflecks if they are indeed expecting their 2nd child. They are my favorite celeb couple and make wonderful parents. I wish them all the best.

  31. MissMara says:

Thanks for the congrats, guys! 😀

Larissa, I guess we are adjusting to the new role of being a pregnant woman, and we’re just practising a little, what’s wrong with that?! 😆

I live pretty close to Brussels, in the land of the natural home birth, which I plan to have, plus I plan to breastfeed for 6-12 months – do I pass the CB exam?! 😉

  32. sauvage says:

    Congrats, Larissa and MissMara! :-))))

  33. Spoonman55 says:

    Nice!!!

Hope they can stay together-something that isn’t to common in Hollywood these days.
