To be fair, Wisconsinites have to drink a lot of beer to sit through any concert. It’s just part of our proud heritage. But I understand this guy’s point – I’d have to be blackout drunk to even be seen at a Jessica Simpson concert, let alone remotely complacent. Unless I was buying weed. Then I’d begrudging hang out towards back of the 35-50 person crowd and shout, “Take off your shirt!” after every set while waiting for my dealer to take his break from operating the tilt-the-whirl.

Anon, I refuse to engage in ad hominem arguments. (Although if I did I would say something lame like “if you’re going to call someone out for spelling you shouldn’t hide behind an ‘anonymous’ screen name”). I’m obviously not too worried about spelling things correctly on a celebrity gossip blog. I’d change my tune if it were a literary/academia gossip blog.

I stand by my original remark that performing at the county fair is a serious downgrade. To suggest she’s doing it to gain fans is an insult to country fans and fair goers alike.
