Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were seen at the Red Bull US MotoGp on Sunday in Laguna Seca, California. They flew in a private jet to Monterey where they boarded a helicopter to Laguna Seca to watch the race. Seen boarding the helicopter with them and at the event were three unidentified people, two men and a woman. One of the men and the woman are shown flanking them in the group photo.
In some of these photos Tom and Katie look like impersonators to me. There’s something fake about their leather jackets and shades and their uber-cool poses. Look at the odd way they’re standing that makes Cruise look taller than Holmes. How was that angle achieved? He could have been standing on something or maybe he’s positioned on the incline because he’s taller than her in most all of these shots, including the one taken farther away. It’s also possible Katie has perfected her slouch.
Cruise is thought to be 5’7″ and Holmes is about 5’9″ tall. Although Cruise appeared slightly taller than Holmes in their official wedding photo, most event photos show Katie towering over her husband because she wears heels. This photo of the two out to dinner in February is probably a more accurate representation of their height difference.
Fellow Scientologist Jason Lee, one of my son’s favorite actors, was also at the race. I didn’t spot him in the photos of Katie and Tom boarding a helicopter with their entourage.

Maybe it was them and Katie was wearing flat shoes to compensate for Tom’s insecurity of height issues.
There was a famous comment from Nicole after she was divorced that she could now wear stilettos.

I saw a full picture, he is wearing a thick sole and Katie is in super flats. But when you consider that He is 5, 7.8 and she is 5,9′ the difference is magnified because she wears super high heels all the time. I doubt he has a complex about his height, the media and his critics would like him to have it.

Just an FYI Cory…Tom has a major complex about his height. It was made very public while the movie Interview with a Vampire was being made. He had serious issues because Brad was taller than he was, so on and so forth.

I think it’s hilarious that Nicole said she could finally wear heels again after divorcing Tom, because now she’s married to another guy who’s shorter than she is! When you see her out, she’s almost ALWAYS in flats. Nothing wrong with that — it’s just funny.

xiaoecho – i firmly believe his height complex is what MAKES him go for tall women. His dating tall women sets him and his relationship apart and makes him stand out. If he dated a tiny woman who was smaller than him – it would just show how small he was and they would appear very small as a couple. (We’ve all seen small couples out.) If you’re going to be small anyway (can’t help your physical stature), your image has to be big (if you’re in H’wood) in order to stand out. Being small and being with an even smaller person only draws attention to how small a couple you are.

I’m with you, CiCi. Exactly that, a smaller woman would draw far more attention to his own height. I don’t believe he’s 5’7″, more like 5.5/6″. Anyway the scientos probably told him to find a tall woman so they’d produce nice tall babies to fight off the evil that is Xenu.

He’s been wearing these strange custom wedgie *tee hee* sneakers, that are pretty interesting looking. If he falls off them he could get injured they are so tall, another site compared them to Posh Spice’s high heeled sneakers worn to throw out the first ball at a game, pretty funny – why is she hiding her lovely purple hands in all the shots? If you go to the trouble of having your hands turn purple – show us.

Tom Cruise is nowhere near 5’7. I have always heard that he was 5’4 – 5’5. He wears lifts. He always has. Nothing wrong with being short.

There is nothing wrong with being short, of course, but in all fairness – for a while there he had QUITE a movie image to live up to and I understand his wanting to be taller. But doesn’t Tom realize that he has a short person’s body – and raising its height only looks funny. ie., Look at the close up of their heads. Katie has a tall person’s neck – next to Tom, who clearly doesn’t. It’s weird.

My guy is about 5’19″ and I am 5’7″… and I love me some heels, and he loves it when I wear them. No way I’d wear flats just to make someone else feel better… a guy who is secure in his manhood wouldn’t ask, nor would he wear lifts.

His boots have huge lifts but are well-engineered to look like they don’t. Find a picture of his feet from this event and take a look at the top of his foot. They’re angled just like high heels.
