Kenny Anderson was hit by a car while sitting in a restaurant in Wilkesboro, North Carolina drinking a cup of coffee and reading the newspaper. A surveillance camera caught the dramatic incident on tape and the booth he was sitting in was pushed across the floor up against the counter, knocking his hat off. Anderson remained in the booth seated during the accident and the first thing he did afterwards was stand up and calmly pick up his baseball cap to put it back on.
Anderson told Meredith Viera on The Today Show this morning that he went to get the paper and had just sat down when the SUV rammed into the side of the restaurant where he was sitting. He said that he had the wind knocked out of him and just wanted to get up. He didn’t see the car coming or realize what had happened until afterwards. He was taken to the hospital and the doctor checked him over three times and was amazed that he didn’t have any broken bones or serious injuries. The woman who drove the SUV is also said to be fine.

That’s almost funny - his hat never even fell off the seat beside him, he just picked it up, put it on and got up - until you realize the serious implications it could have had. What a bizarre thing to have happen to you!
