Now, if he had gotten to a phone as fast as possible and called for emergency help, it would be different. But he allowed her to die, while waiting around and deciding the best way to handle it to try to protect his reputation. Mind you, that wait was 9 HOURS. If you look at photos of the scene, you can plainly see that there were houses close by where he could have called for help. The residents of three of those houses asserted that they had lights on that would have been easily visible to him. In addition, there was a volunteer fire station...that was manned, only 300 yards from the scene of the accident. So, he walked past 4 houses, 3 of them with lights on, and a fire station, without stopping to call for assistance. The difference is that Mrs. Bush had an accident. Police records of the event were made public in May 2000.
