Astounding as it may be to believe, her father tried on 2 occasions to have her sectioned but failed to get a second signature. Something to do with her not being a danger to others. I know. Astounding. No 'astounded' icon when we need one. On the whole, I'm far more in favour of a culture that sees involuntary sectioning as a last option but in Amy's case, it's looking increasingly like it's now a matter of life or death. It still continues to tear up her family. She just got busted again, for ID theft, 5 felonies. She steals from her own Mother for a fix. Amy can vastly fund her own drug habit. Unless someone goes to court to stop her/control her, she will end up dead. That's not Amy making decisions, it is the drugs. I hope her family will stand up to her like Martin Sheen and Carol O'Connor did for their children. What are the British laws for this? Anyone? Whoa, sorry long rant. My best friend's sister picked/dug a hole almost through her cheek. She was convinced bugs were crawling out of her pores. Her scars are horrible. Her face, legs, arms, even her feet.
