Just last Saturday while driving home from a party, I found myself stuck at the longest red light in the town. I was really hoping to run it until a copper pulled up across the way. He looked me straight in the eyes, as if to say, "see you in hell, bitch", and freaking ran the red light himself. Or an aspiring cop I should say. He was at orientation in Oakland (one of the more violent cities in the state where they actually NEED heavy police presense) and the police there warned about certain corrupt police departments, saying not to work for them. They even said the cities (typically more affluent areas where the cops have nothing to do, but there's no shortage of them eager to work there because they get payed well without having to deal with the typical ugliness police in crime cities do). That's what my comment was in reference to. Also, I'm a tv reporter and my boss sorta feeds us this disdain for police as well.
