I don’t get the big heavy blanket thing. Isn’t it hot there right now? It’s sure hot here! I realize she’s probably trying to shield the baby, but surely there are lighter blankets. Anyway, since she already showed the kid in a magazine, what’s the difference?

I feel bad for Jamie Lynn. I don’t think she should marry Casey. I think she should raise her baby and at the same time go back to work.
Just like a regular person would do.
Just like I did when my daugher was born. Everyone should stop hounding her and telling her what’s “best”.

Wish they’d leave her alone too. They’d had their pics (thanks to her greedy mother, not JL), let her just get on with her life without all this constant scrutiny crap. And I agree, Gracie, on Casey.

I agree with both of you – I think Casey is crap. You’d think he’d be with her to help take the baby to the doctor… it just seems to me like a first-time father should WANT to be involved in all the appts., etc. She needs to give up on that relationship and focus on herself and Maddie.

I agree Syko. There is this aura of creepiness and something not right about Casey. We’ve heard rumors that he’s seeing other girls, going out till late.
If true, they are the things a teenage boy would and should do.
But when faced with marriage…holy moly…it’s like a recipe for disaster.
As soon as they say the I-do’s we’ll have to start the countdown till:
1. she throws him out of the house.
2. gets a lawyer.
3. files for divorce.
4. then the lawyers fight over the
money for like weeks or months.
I think in very rare circumstances a teenage wedding brought on by a surprise baby can work. But the vast majority of them end with a split and lots of hurt feelings.
p.s. I feel wary/creepy about Casey too because in every single picture he looks like he’d rather be ANYWHERE than standing next to her. It’s uncomfortable to think about how that must feel for Jamie Lynn.
p.p.s sometimes I feel like Mom paid Casey to be the baby daddy. Maybe to cover up the real father.

I get a creepy and inexperienced vibe from Casey. Like if he was left alone with his daughter for too long, he would sell her.
But in other news, I like what JL is doing to her hair now. She’s back to looking like a teenage girl, rather than her mother’s older sister.

She looks great! I’m so happy for her. I am not happy that she wants to marry this individual…uhh I really think he is bad news.
I hope she comes to her senses before making a big mistake. He is too young and we all know that men need to explore. If he doesn’t get to see what’s out there he’s going to do it while he’s with her. It’s the nature of the beast……

Yes, Daisy 424…there was a blind item and a lot of talk about it being an older man from her tv show.
That Casey was just sort of thrown in there for “appearances”. I don’t know what came of that gossip, though.
Was there a DNA test done? Were the results made public? It’s interesting.
I hate to say this but I think Lynn Spears would do ANYTHING. I hold that up against what a nice job Jamie Spears has done with Britney and her chaotic life.
Lynn seems much more intested in “appearances” and much less interested in soft, warm, human feelings for her kids. Just my opinion. It’s sad. Jamie Lynn seems like a nice girl.

JL does look great. I always get a weird vibe when i look at pics with Casey in them. It probably is just his awkwardness in the spotlight of all this. However from the little I can gather and form an opinion from, I think she can do better than him. But he is the Dad, so she should try to work on it with him. Oh and even from Maddie’s days old photos, I thought I saw a resemblence to Casey in her face. Something about the mouth. I don’t doubt he is the Dad.

I could understand the paps chasing her about and snapping pics if she was running around L.A., but it’s kinda creepy for them to follow her around small-town Mississippi. I’d be annoyed and pissed off too; isn’t the reason why she decided to have her baby there and live there because she wanted to live as “normal” a life as possible and not have to put up with that shit?

I do think it’s strange for the paps to follow her to Mississippi. Plus, who else is there from the paps to catch? It’s all Jamie Lynn, all the time, and that’s got to be tiring for her and the paps.

My daughter was born on the same day, just 13 hours after Maddie so I know that at this age pediatricians ask you to bring a thick lanket to lay the baby on while being examined. I’m also Caseys cousin.

I completely agree, her baby girl needs a check-up and I don’t see why anyone would pay to see that. Paparazzi thinks they’ll get paid for anything, so they do what they can/want, at the cost of others. Just leave her alone! This is pathetic they actually took this pic.
