This leads you to wonder, just how much a celebrity ‘endorsement’ helps or hurts a campagin.

Tyra Banks needs to stick to what she knows best… saying ‘fierce’ and smiling pretty.

I agree with Tyra that they are a team and Michelle Obama has played a huge part in the success of her husband. However, Tyra seems a little too confident that Obama will be the next president. Hold on Tyra, do not speak to soon. Do not jinx things.

Tyra: Certified A–hole since 1993. Please, someone get her to shut-up.

And those Barack pics should certainly dispel right-wing chatter that he’s too skinny – the beanpole has a gut! Yea! He’s one of us!

“Only US presidents have been given the honor of speaking in front of the Brandenburg Gate, which is what Obama wanted to do in Berlin. German Chancellor Angela Merkel made clear she was against “electioneering” by Obama…” Instead he chose the Berlin Victory Colum.

I understand this cover photo is a ‘parody’ of Stanley Tretick’s candid photo with JFK and John Jr.in 1963. But in my opinion it is assuming and arrogant.

Yeah people shouldn’t just assume Barack will be the next president until he’s given the keys to the white house. It’s bad jinxing otherwise!

It’s not that I don’t think Michelle’s opinion should count for anything, but the people would be electing Obama, not Michelle. If you’re hired for a job, it’s nice that your boss etc likes your significant other, but they are hiring you. Oh and Tyra Banks is a MORON.

Wow, if you think the location of the speech displays arrogance you must be peeling your brains off the ceiling regularly with the current president’s costly presumptions. (cost being human life that is)

I live in Berlin and although I’ve only been here a few months from what I understand there’s hardly anywhere else Obama could have spoken that was as central and would have been able to accommodate 200,000 people. He spoke in an area that also served as the “fan mile” during the European soccer cup last month and it was already equipped with large screen TVs. That’s where they hold a lot of big events too, so I don’t know where else he could have spoken that would have been as easy to get to and set up. Surely there are other places, but that’s the first place I would expect him to have been.

Yeah, CB, and a lot of the anti-Obama people are forgetting that Obama’s trip overseas was a direct response to criticism he received from McCain & co. They bitched and moaning until he went on the trip, and now they’re bitching and moaning he went on the trip. Political clusterf–k.

I think celebrity endorsements are, in fact, detrementel to a candidate’s campaign. I think one of the main reasons Bush got re-elected was that Hollywood engineered a huge anti-Bush free-for-all…however, they were so busy bashing Bush (what alliteration!) they did not make it clear why they thought Kerry would be a better President. It was all “We hate Bush” not “We love Kerry”.
Actors and musicians have an overinflated sense of their own political power. Not being from the US, I didn’t have a big, emotional stake in the outcome of the 2004 elections (it would have been fine with me if Kerry had won), but I DID enjoy the fact that Hollywood seemed a little stunned by the fact that they didn’t have all this power at the polls–that while the media may make it seem as though celebs wield all this influence, in truth, people are not sheep and they will make up their own minds, no matter what Tyra Banks, Barbara Striesand, Susan Sarandon (or Alec Baldwin!)thinks.

Tyra Banks is a megalomaniacal twit, completely self-obsessed and out of touch with any reality except her own. God, the bitch is annoying! Jinxing-ass ho-bag. Shut up and go away, Tyra. God.

daisy424- Arrogant of who? Obama had nothing to do with these pictures. It amazes me how people on the Right attempt to call anyone arrogant. After all, what is more arrogant than choosing to go to war against the wishes of the American people. Daisy, I think you have been listening to too many Fox News talking points.

Me; I do have the right to voice my opinion. Did you read the begining of my post? PR is trying to liken him to JFK, in my opinion. Not just on that cover.

I am not leaning right or left, get your facts straight before you start attacking me. As I have stated before; I am not affiliated with any political party.

I don’t owe you an explaination of my voting habits, but I feel compelled to defend myself. I have voted Democrat in 3 elections.

Time fades some people’s memory’s of the facts. Back then the majority was behind the war. Hindsight is 20/20.
    That is a luxury.

At least I have the guts to state my opinion, knowing I will get pounced on by people like you. I don’t feel the need to hide behind a pseudonym like you do. Sign up for Gravatar.

As far as my tv news viewing habits, stick it up your ass and go back to watching BSnbc.
