‘Desperate Housewives’ actress Eva Longoria and her husband, NBA player Tony Parker, are working like mad to get pregnant- according to Mark Cherry, executive producer of Eva’s show. There have been rumors for a couple of months now that Eva was already pregnant, but her reps denied it, saying the petite actress was ordered to put on some weight for her character on the show. But Cherry told Us Weekly that Longoria was inspired by her alter ego, who had twins on the show, to try out motherhood in real life.
Eva Longoria Parker’s boss has spilled the beans!
“Eva is desperately trying to get pregnant with [husband] Tony Parker,” Desperate Housewives’ creator and executive producer Marc Cherry told Us Weekly in its latest issue, on newsstands now.
“After they phone their doctor, she promised me I will be the next call,” he added.
The 33-year-old actress is getting a practice pregnancy run at work.
“Gaby is having a very tough time being the mother of two overweight, hyperactive children,” Cherry revealed of the show’s next season, which advances five years. “But Eva is having a marvelous time playing her!”
Eva Longoria is annoying, but I bet she’d make an adorable pregnant lady. We will probably hear non-stop stories about the labor and delivery, since Eva just loves to overshare. But if the couple wants a baby, I hope they make one. Good luck to her and Tony. This is the fun part, so enjoy!

I agree. It’s personal and more importantly, nobody cares. Longoria is one of those ‘celebrities’ who I imagine driving around LA looking for cameras and microphones because she feels empty without their warmth.

Yeah Lauri, also announcing it kind of jinxes it as well, probably! Like we’re trying to get pregnant, so it probably won’t happen! Haha.

All it did was bring an image to my mind of them copulating. ..YukStand by for the announcement in a few months that they’re pregnant with twins

So you think she approved the “spilling of the beans” by the director? I admit it sounds bizarre to me that anyone would share that they were “trying” to get pregnant. Do you send out an e-mail every time you have sex? (”Guess what guys! Tried again five minutes ago (I climaxed twice!)…we just had a quick shower and thought we’d keep you updated…”)????
On the other hand, if you are an actress on a show, maybe you have to let them know what you are doing so they can be prepared to change the script to accomodate a pregnancy. -
Thanks but no. When I hear someone is ‘trying’ to get pregnant I automatically envision them doing the deed in like, every possible position in hopes one will work. That’s not right.
And if she is pregnant it will be the longest 9 months of our lives… b/c she will milk it and have photos of every possible thing. She’ll probably act like she invented pregnancy like so many of these idiots who dole out ‘advice’ like it has not been going on for thousands of years.

I saw an interview with them while they were dating (way before their marriage) and Tony mentioned more than once how he wanted kids. I thought at the time, Eva (who is older than Tony) better start popping those kids out for him or he’ll dump her for a younger, more fertile model similar to what Brad Pitt did.
I wouldn’t be suprised to see her with twins, because she NEEDS to crank out a kid for him, and I know they can afford fertility treatments.

Why do people feel the need to advertise that they are “trying” to get pregnant? Seems kinda personal to me. Once there is something to announce, that is different.
