JayBird, entertaining write up as usual 😉
The sunglasses are so big, they accentuate her, um, huge jawline. Poor kid, but she does needs a stylist.

  2. xiaoecho says:

    Love her hair.

  3. CandyKay says:

Hollywood hasn’t been very kind to her. She has no career to speak of and everybody makes fun of her looks. Why in the world doesn’t she get out of Hollywood? There’s a whole world out there where she could do many other things, and her looks wouldn’t be that much of a factor.

  4. Bodhi says:

I really like her name & her sister’s names. I really don’t know much about her, but she at least seems to better adjusted than some other celebuspawn. At least she isn’t hanging out with LL anymore

  5. CelebitchyFAN says:

Apparently you haven’t seen the pictures of her with the extremely long extensions…short hair is DEFINITELY the way to go for her because the long looked waaaay bad on her

  6. kate says:

sounds like she has a decent sense of humor. and i don’t think she is ugly at all. brooke hogan? THAT is a hot mess.

  7. Kaiser says:

Poor thing. It’s not your name, dear Rumor.

I actually don’t think it’s very nice to make fun of her because she’s her dad’s mini-me – but I do think it’s appropriate to make fun of the fact that she runs around Hollywood like she’s the hottest celeb kid ever hatched.

It’s all about expectations and entitlement.

  8. Syko says:

She’s named for a really excellent author, Rumer Godden, who wrote one of my all-time favorite books, “In This House of Brede”. I’d be proud of that. But I guess there aren’t many plastic doorknockers embellished with the name “Rumer” at Walmart. My oldest has a name that, although common now, was almost unheard of when she was born, and that was her biggest gripe, while her brother and sister could spend their allowances on all sorts of junk with their names on it, she never could.

  9. Baholicious says:

Oh dear, she looks like Joey Ramone in a couple of these pictures and that’s not good – even when you’re Joey Ramone (RIP).

She needs to grow her hair a little more and bring it down to chin-length to take away from that jawline. While I admire being who one is and not changing (via surgery especially) to suit the whims of Hollywood, that doesn’t mean one has to broadcast/flaunt ‘less-than-perfect’ features. Unfortunately, poor Rumer’s jaw is a little more than ‘less than perfect’. It’s way beyond Owen Wilson’s nose but unlike him, she is a female in Hollywood and needs to be a little more cognizant of that fact. The scale is completely different for men and women celebrities. Fair? No. Reality? Absolutely.

She is in the public eye. She put herself out there. People with eyes are going to look at her and for the most part, very critically. You work with what God gave you, you don’t put a pillbox hat on a turd, you know?

I am not trying to be nasty, this is coming from the ‘get a clue’ aisle…if I’m off-base here, help me out.

  10. Aud says:

I dont think she’s THAT bad looking. Altho I do wonder what the $&@# her parents were thinking with ANY of those names!

  11. Larissa says:

    finally a nice hair cut

  12. photo jojo says:

Syko, I love Rumer Godden too. Thursday’s Children was a wonderful novel.

  13. czarina says:

I’m torn here. She is not ‘Hollywood attractive’ or even conventionally pretty. Which must be really, really hard for her in a town where beauty is 90% of everything.
On the one hand, I admire her for being out there saying ‘You don’t have to be a cookie-cutter face to be special and attractive’.
On the other hand, you have to have SOMETHING going for you. If she were amazingly talented as an actress, I would understand her fighting for her chance in the business. (I really don’t know if she isn’t talented, but I haven’t heard otherwise).
But to insist on being a celebrity without looks or talent, purely based on who your parents are, what’s the point?

  14. Bodhi says:

Syko~ My name was never on those little licene plates either 🙁

Its taken a long time, but I’m finally over it 😉

  15. Syko says:

Bodhi – so is Shannon, and she loves her name now.

  16. Aud says:

My name’s never on anything either. I still cry myself to sleep at night

  17. Maudie says:

Syko — I also loved In the House of Brede by Rumer Godden. I even got the DVD starring Diana Rigg.

  18. dovesgate says:

Did you know you can special order those personalized things? Makes a pretty thoughtful stocking stuffer at Christmas time for those with unusual names.

  19. Orangejulius says:

Wow! She actually think her sisters have better names. They all got screwed in the name department in my opinion.

  20. Ron says:

Let’s face it, she is an odd looking person. It’s distacting. You keep trying to rework her head…like Mrs Potato Head. What if I move the lips down…..

  21. People should not stereotype unattractive women as being “lesbians”.

As for hating her name, that does not surprise me. These hollywood celebrities need to realize that their kids are going to grow up someday and resent the weird names they were saddled with.

  22. RAN says:

Poor kid, I hated her name when I first heard it too 😉 Her parents tried too hard to be different and ended up screwing the kid. Although I think the names got worse after she was born… I mean really… Scout? Tallelulah Belle?

  23. Whitey Fisk says:

“Odd head-to-facial-features ratio” is such a scientific way to say Potato Head! I love it!

What happened to Demi’s whole “living in Idaho away from the spotlight” thing?

  24. Bodhi says:

Oh, Demi realized that she actually ages (ya know, like people do). So she went out & found herself a younger man, had $400,000 worth of plastic surgery & hit the clubs with LL. Gotta be current, ya know. 🙄

  25. All Adither says:

    She went to school?

But seriously, I think everyone should lay off her. She looks better than 80% of the US population.

  26. Thumbelina says:

The short hair + casual clothes = lesbian equation is so, so stupid but so, so Hollywood. In LA, if it’s a broad and shallow stereotype, then, heck, it must be true! (And I live in LA, so I know.)

  27. Virginia says:

I don’t get why people keep saying she’s ugly. I think she’s very pretty. It’s the same with Kirsten Dunst, everybody says she’s ugly, and I think she looks pretty. I mean, have you ever seen what “normal” people look like?

  28. Orangejulius says:

So, so true. Look around you at most ‘normal’ people. Very, very unattractive!

  29. Snowblood says:

Aw, Rumer’s a nice name! She’s stoked she wasn’t christened Peanut or Apple or freakin’ Peaches or any other fruit or nut. Rumer’s a nice name, unusual AND has literary roots to it, as Syko pointed out here – – ” She’s named for a really excellent author, Rumer Godden, who wrote one of my all-time favorite books, ‘In This House of Brede’. ”

No, she’s not gorgeous, however, how many REAL people are? Gorgeous, I mean?Just because she was born to two film stars does NOT mean she’s entitled to the business as a front-of-the-camera star, so she can quit her whingin’ right about now.

It’s like Tori Spelling syndrome. God, Rumer, you’re O.K. as a young lady as far as we all can tell, but seriously, 99% of us seriously don’t care to watch you try and be an actress. I mean, anyway, most of the great jobs, money and influence in the industry belongs to/is controlled by the “(Wo)Man Behind the Curtain;” why not do that, Rumer! Or otherwise, really, you’re setting yourself up for a lifetime of heartache and finicky public ridicule. I’m just sayin’.

  30. Nan says:

Nobody has ever said this better than you just did, Snow.

  31. Shannon says:

Out of all the photos taken of this bitch, I’ve think I’ve seen one where she is halfway attractive. Why are we still talking about her?

  32. Snowblood says:

Oh! Thank you, Nan! Do you know, I’ve been imaging you as a thirty year old version of the great Nan Kempner from your comments here the last month or so? Nan Kempner’s an ICON! Seriously, I get that hip vibe from you, but don’t trip, I mean a YOUNG Nan Kempner, early thirties at the most. Very cool!

@ Shannon – ” Why are we still talking about her [Rumer Willis] ? ”
Because we are! Why the hell not? Would you rather we talk about you, Shannon? Come on, now, this is a celebrity gossip blog, we talk about what’s au courant de jour en jour. And it can include celebuspawn. This is what we do, here! This is CeleBitchy!

  33. Kat says:

She is very pretty. I have always thought that. I think people think she is odd looking, is because Perez Hilton talks about her, like a dog.

  34. Lola says:

Rumor, you are a beautiful person inside and out. Hold your head up high and walk with grace.

  35. CB Rawks says:

“Anytime a famous male celebrity produces a female offspring that looks exactly like him, it takes an unnatural amount of restraint not to make fun of the girl’s appearance.”

See also: Chloe Lattanzi and Alexa Joel.

  36. CB Rawks says:

I saw Rumer on Letterman recently, and she seemed a sweety. Funny and nice to interview.

  37. chamalla says:

I’m all for calling out famous people when they do dumb stuff, but I always feel a little queasy when I read what people write about Rumer. Personally, I’m ready to see some variety in Hollywood. Men of all shapes, sizes, faces and beauty levels can have successful acting careers, I think it’s about damn time women who don’t fit the Katherine Heigl genetic lottery winner profile get a chance.

  38. Snowblood says:

It’s Rumer’s 20th birthday today! She has the same birthday as Madonna. Buon Compleanno, Rumer Willis! If you read these gossip blogs, here’s wishing you a happy birthday – 😀

  39. Yeah, she does look like Joey Ramone. Amazing resemblance.

  40. Sil says:

What a shame.. I’ve always loved her name. I think “Rumer” is quite pretty. The name that is.

I could care less about her looks, what bugs me about her is that I’ve heard her refer to herself several times as a ”celebrity” which does my head in.

  41. sexyme says:

rumer willis has found her style, the new look is fabulous! LOVE the hair and that white porcelain skin… Mmmmm. she looks really hot!

  42. Mme X says:

I actually think she looks like Demi, and I agree: I don’t think she’s unattractive. It must be a drag to have every look, every move scrutinized by in the press.

  43. morison dony says:

Can you provide more information on this?
