I read these posts occasionally and it amazes me how many people critisize others that are in the limelight for making mistakes that the average Joe makes daily. We are just not talked about on the t.v, radio, or magazines. Instead people should just be wishing for the best of luck to them and whatever decision (together or not) that they make. They made a mistake and are dealing with it the best way that they know how. It is unfortunate that people say horrible things to make themselves feel that much better. While I am not saying it is right to become pregnant at 16, many people as we all know have become wonderful parents with just a little support (or sometimes none) from family and friends. Good luck to them both and whatever path they choose! Regardless of the right or wrong that either party has done, hopefully they can work their way through it for the good of their child. As soon as you’re able to determine the difference between what is right, and what is wrong, it’s YOUR responsibility to decide what to do or what not to do.

I like that we no longer have to thrust such heavy responsibility on such young people....but c'mon. "He can't be expected" to be faithful. I beg your pardon, but he most certainly CAN. That he cannot be TRUSTED to be so is obvious, but that's not because he's 16. It's because he's an asshat. He's a little pig, and she's a little girl who saw nothing wrong with procreating with a pig. It made her feel loved and like an adult, so she turned her back on what she knew to be right and chose, instead, what felt good. People do it all the time...in every age group out there. There is no excuse for either of them. There are consequences to acting like trash...and this kind of betrayal drama is one of the most common ones. Now. Once everyone quits trying to sugar coat what they've done by calling it normal...she might realize that being with her mom and losing the deadbeat is a good way to start elevating herself above "trash" status.
