I've traveled on business for many years and met a lot of glass coffee tables while staying in 4-star hotels. Oddly enough, I've never been in a situation where my foot and the coffee table had such an accident. She must be a rowdy freak or something - those tables aren't the most expensive, but they certainly use thick glass which would be extremely difficult to break.
