Emily Blunt was not with her husband John Krasinski last night at the SAGs. She was in London, promoting this odd-looking animated film, Gnomeo and Juliet. I think James McAvoy does the voice of Gnomeo? Anyway, for the event, Emily showed off her new hair – dramatically lightened to this reddish color with blonde highlights. I’ll admit, I like Emily a lot, and I like her as one of my brunettes. I don’t know what to think of her as a redhead. It doesn’t really look bad, per se, but it’s just a change that I’m not fond of.
As for the dress and the tights… train wreck. The dress is especially cheap-looking, and I don’t believe in black tights with a white dress. I’m from the South. We don’t do that.

I’m from the South also and I hear you. You should never wear black tights with a white dress, especially ones with eyelettes which makes it totally Summery. Ew.
My hair’s the same colour. Copper tones with a few blonde highlights. It’s hard to maintain and a bugger to keep nourished.
Maybe it’s more of a gateway stage to going full on blonde. Either way, she’s better brunette.
I remember she was redhead in Devil wears Prada and it looked really good on her. The dress is fugly!!!
Her hair looks pretty good. However, those tights with that dress are not. Though she does have killer legs, I will admit that.
She looks like Drew Barrymoore(especially with the guffawing) and although I adore Drew it’s a downgrade. She is way too talented to start with that light brown/blonde/bland rom-com actress look.

I like the red she had in Devil Wears Prada (over the top red). This just looks like it’s washed out and faded. Blergh.

Emily will never be okay in my book since she stole my one and only love John Krasinski. I can’t forgive her.
But I did enjoy her in The Devil Wears Prada.
So lighten your hair, Emily, but watch your back!
I think she looks great with that hair color, but it is a big change. The white dress/ black tights thing doesn’t necessarily bother me. It is the combination of THAT white dress, with eyelit accents paired with black tights that is a problem.

I like the hair color on her. She’s beautiful either way. And the dress is pretty, but would have been better without the tights. I don’t think it looks cheap. I like it when celebrities don’t spend thousands of bucks on a dress they’re only going to wear once. Somtimes it’s nice to wear soemthing simple and inexpensive:)
I don’t care for this in-between hair color. It makes her look washed-out, & the hair looks ‘dry’ at the ends, & unstyled.
With everyone else on the bad top/tights color combination. Southern belles would never wear that top during winter.
I’m from the South & I LOVE her outfit. I don’t know about a white dress in the middle of winter, but I still think it is super cute. Of course I wear black tights with everything; my office is an ice box & its the only way I can wear dresses or skirts in the winter
Worse:now she is just one of “them”..she no longer stands out.
The color is okay, but the cut looks really bedraggled–and the outfit is wrong in all kinds of ways.

Something on People.com said she was slowly going blond over the next few months for a role. Of course, I can’t find out now. But the dress is AWFUL – with or without the tights.
I like her with darker hair or the red from “Devil wears Prada”. hopefully it’s just for a role! (fingers crossed)
Not even a close comparison – dark hair suits her a million times more. But, if it’s for a role, whaddya gonna do? I just hope she dyes it back the second she’s done filming! With dark hair she’s so classic looking…not so much with this color.

The hair is not only a bad color for her, but it is looking really rough. It needs a good condition and blow out.
The tights with that dress are awful IMO. Makes her legs look bigger than they really are. Oh well – I should be so lucky to be half as pretty as she is. 🙂
The thick black tights is a ‘London’ thing. I lived in London for years and lots of hipster girls work this look.
She definitely looks better with the dark hair somehow, although she doesn’t look bad here, but more washed out and bland. I don’t care for the black tights and white dress combo.

With darker hair her eyes stand out. The current colour is just blah and her ends look badly split.
