However, we are not stupid, and we are realistic. Once the deed is done, as in this case, the responsibility is to ensure that the young mother and her baby get the best possible start. Good prenatal care, parenting classes, a supportive, loving family...those are the things we hope for when an underaged minor child becomes pregnant. It's not that we don't want kids to have fun or that we want to control other people's sex lives...but we DO want to see children that are brought into the world be given the best possible opportunities to be born into a stable and healthy environment.
