Alleged father of John Edward’s mistress’ love child has paid zero child support

This is John Edwards with a random baby on the campaign trail, not the baby he allegedly fathered
In that other political baby drama, Rielle Hunter, the mistress of John Edwards, has reportedly not received a dime in child support from her child’s alleged father, Edwards campaign worker Andrew Young. Hmmm. Maybe that’s because he’s totally not the dad, and everyone knows it, and Edwards should just give up this stupid charade and come clean about it? Maybe??

Despite campaign aide Andrew Young’s claim that he fathered the baby of Edwards’ mistress Rielle Hunter, The Enquirer has learned that Young has never given her a dime.

The 44-year-old blond divorcee is still being paid “hush money,” but absolutely no child support or other monetary compensation has ever been made by Young, say sources.

Young told The Enquirer last year – when Rielle was seven months pregnant – that he was the baby’s father. But when Rielle gave birth in February, no father was listed on the birth certificate. And now Young has clammed up about the bizarre cover-up.

“Andrew Young hasn’t paid a red cent to Rielle or her baby Frances because he’s never had a relationship with Rielle and he’s not the father,” revealed a close source.

“He hasn’t even spoken to Rielle in two months since since she lived with him and his wife Cheri and their three kids in Santa Barbara, Calif. as part of the coverup.

“As you can imagine, that wasn’t a great living situation and after Rielle and Cheri butted heads, Rielle moved into her own home.

“The Youngs no longer have contact with Rielle. Now, if Andrew was indeed the father, don’t you think Rielle would be asking for child support? But Andrew Young has never supported Rielle or that baby financially.”

Wealthy Dallas trial lawyer Fred Baron – national finance chairman for Edwards’ failed presidential campaign – confirmed an Enquirer report that he was the secret “money man” behind payments to Hunter.

He vehemently denied breaking any laws, and said he was simply helping “two friends and former colleagues (Hunter and Young) rebuild their lives.

Yeah, right. He was helping a friend all right: John Edwards. It’s bad enough that Edwards was basically forced into admitting his disgusting affair behind his dying wife’s back – only when his back was against the wall and there was no way to keep denying it. But to keep up with this farcical denial of being the father of that child is just adding further insult to his family’s already significant injury. His political career is pretty much dunzo- why prolong the inevitable? A simple paternity test would put an end to this- and neither Hunter nor Edwards will agree to one. Why is that?

Apparently Edwards did agree to a paternity suit…knowing full well that Hunter would refuse. It was probably part of the settlement that she refuse if she wanted to keep getting paid.

Is it possible to just drop this story until after Mrs Edwards has passed? Its horrible enough to be dying and to find out your husband has been having an affair. To force her to acknowledge that he had a child with another woman is too cruel.

There will be plenty of time to crucify him in the media after she is gone. Til then, lets give her some peace?

  3. Diva says:

She’s not that close to dying, is she??? I haven’t paid alot of attention since Edwards dropped out of the race, but she was doing quite well last I knew.

Presuming I am correct, I don’t think it’s at all right to just let the kid hang in limbo until an adult is no longer around to have to hear about the failings of her husband.

I can’t get over how expendable parenthood is to some people.

  4. Holly says:

Well if the woman didn’t put anyone’s name down as father, why should anyone be expected to pay child support? SLUT

“Is it possible to just drop this story until after Mrs Edwards has passed?”

    That’s what he’s hoping.

  6. hello says:

WAit?? Mrs. Edwards is dying? I thought that her cancer had been beat when it came during his presidential nominee campaign. I’m confused!

On a family law note. You don’t pay child support unless you’re proven to be the dad. So really nobody is being a dead beat. 😐

Get out of politics Edwards, phony. It takes a certain low life kind of guy to not only cheat on his wife, but cheat on his sick wife, and also possibly start a new family on the side. He’s cheesy and lacks character. Maybe that’s why he got into politics. He reminds me of Tom Cruise.

I can’t help but wonder if he is a sociopath.

These people are very charming and imitate a “care” for other people but really only see themselves and have no conscience.

There is a child born to this world and he is not even taking the test or owning to his own doing and starting to be an active parent.

All I hear about is his desire to get back to politics.

That is not just being greedy or ambitious.
    I think he is sick.

This thread is mysteriously void of comments about his ability to lead because of his personal life. 🙄

  10. Blonde Ambition says:

I agree with Holly, if there is no name on that birth certificate, no man is responsible for support. If someone’s name was written down, then they are responsible until proven not to be the father.

  11. Plumeria says:

hello – I think the way they characterized her cancer at the beginning of the campaign was “untreatable”, a nicer way to say “terminal.” She is dying and knew it when he started running in the primary.

Daisy424- Of course no one challenged him on the ability to lead in spite of a dying wife and small children to raise. He’s a Democrat. They like him and they wish it wasn’t true.

Edwards claims the child isn’t his, but the pictures of the little girl really look like him. Rielle saved him by refusing to “subject” the baby to a paternity test. Of course, if the baby is his and she’s preserved his rep, then she can still dream of one day being first lady!

  12. Diva says:

His ability to lead is a moot point because the people of this country already decided he’s NOT qualified to lead.

Jeanne – omg, lol, I can TOTALLY see Tom Cruise playing Edwards! They not only look alike, they’re sort of crazy, condescending similar, lol.

  13. hello says:

    Plumeria – thanks!

I guess so long as they all have an agreement where the kid is visited and paid for, everyone is a winner…especially the kid. He’s going to be pretty good looking

    Well…not his wife. 🙁

I looked at the picture of John Edwards at the top of this page, and I thought John Edwards is too damn handsome, and that is his number one problem.
