In the 2006 mid-terms (a few years after the campaign I worked on), the Republican got his a$$ handed to him. And the point I was trying to make was that voters (like consumers, to go back on topic with Jessica Simpson) decide for themselves what they want to care about, and who's personal life disgusts them, even if it is "the politics of personality." @AE – Thanks for the kind words – and it turned out okay.
