I was going to do a post exclusively dedicated to these new photos of Paul Bettany, but it turns out that several hot guys were out and about this weekend, so this has turned into a “Hot Guy Weekend, Candids” post. Enjoy! First up: Paul Bettany at the Berlin Film Festival, promoting a film called Margin Call. I don’t know anything about the film, except that Kevin Spacey, Jeremy Irons and Eli Roth Zachary Quinto also walked the red carpet, so maybe they’re in it too. Sure. Okay, I just looked it up… they’re all in it, plus Simon Baker and… Demi Moore…? Ugh. Just look at pretty pictures of Paul! I love his hair now.

@ Kaiser: I don’t know if you’ve watched A Knight’s Tale but if you have the chance to watch the DVD with audio commentary by him and the director I can assure you that you’ll laugh your ass off (Bettany talks about being naked and showing his bare ass shamelessly — also there’s a nice anedocte about his dong…and duct tape!).

Enough is enough. I undestand why some women find Colin Firth attractive. He looks intelligent, sensitive and charming, in a nice way. But handsome? The guy looks like an old lady, he is just a couple of years away from Elton John.

@blaugaro, I agree with you when you say that lately he looks quite feminine, but IMO he is handsome in his own way, not because he fits an aesthetic canon. I like his eyes, the way those eyes let his emotions flow (e.g.: watch the BBC series “Pride & Prejudice”), I like his gentilmanly ways, and above all what I like the most is the fact that he is a great actor.
I don’t know if “handsome” is the right word to define a man who’s “bello, affascinante, singorile, gentile, bravo”…
I too saw the movie Damage a few years ago and it made my jaw drop in more ways then one lol.That was the first movie I saw him in and now when I see/hear Jeremy Irons mentioned in a movie I make a point to see it because of him.

They aren’t on HGW today, but I have to say I finally get the appeal of Alex Skarsgard.
I finally watched “True Blood” for the first time. Holy crap. I was only able to watch the first two seasons as I don’t have HBO and can’t find season 3 anywhere to rent.
But holy shit, I was so drawn in.

Kaiser, could it be that you got Eli Roth and Zachary Quinto mixed up? (Excuseable, they do look a lot alike.) First you write about ‘Margin Call” and say it’s got Eli Roth in it, but then you include pics of Zachary Quinto, who actually is in the movie… Eli Roth is not.
