Disney and Billy Ray’s sweet, innocent little cash cow, Miley Cyrus, has been seen getting cozy with a 20-year-old underwear model and former “Nashville Star” contestant Justin Gaston. And by “getting cozy” I mean, of course, “going to church.” In photos that I’m sure were completely candid, young Miley (looking like a 30-year-old hungover divorcee) was seen walking into a Los Angeles church with Gaston, who is holding a bible.
Earlier today, Miley Cyrus was seen attending Saturday morning church service with buff-bodied Nashville Star hottie Justin Gaston, who’s also an underwear model.
The 15-year-old Disney sensation and the 20-year-old hunk were accompanied by Miley’s family. Justin is originally from Louisiana and left home at age 17 to pursue a career in music, while supporting himself as a model.
Most recently, Gaston was featured as the love interest in teen country superstar Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” music video.
Seriously, Billy Ray Cyrus has to be the stupidest father on the planet. I have asked every father of a teenage daughter I know if he would be cool with letting his daughter hang out with a 20 year old, and the resounding answer was, “Hell no!” Is he that much of an idiot to think a 20-year-old just wants to be “friends” with Miley? And please, don’t tell me that “it’s okay because they were going to church together.” Jamie Lynn Spears and the 19-year-old boy that impregnated her used to attend church together, too – that’s where they met. Rule of thumb for parents: just because they’re holding bibles doesn’t mean that guy doesn’t want to get into her pants. I wonder how long it will be before we see inappropriate photos of Miley and this new guy?

When I was 17 my parents let me hang around with a 27-year-old guy. He was my best friend. I don’t think they were showing poor parenting skills, I think they were just letting me learn for myself the consequences of such relationships. And, I did learn. All by myself. Though…I have to say, I don’t think Billy Ray had that much forethought when he decided that Miley being around a 20-year-old guy was a good idea.

Let’s face it, people say “act your age” because for the most part, each age group has an understood maturity level. But that’s only because, for the most part, they’re all doing the same thing (going to school, living at home, ect.) and therefore shaping eachother. But if you took a 12 year old and put him/her around 18 year olds, it wouldn’t be long before they “Acted” 18 as well.
My point is, Miley’s age is nearly irreleant anywhere except a court of law (Which is a place this story could very well end up, due to statutory rape). She’s not doing things your average 15 year old does, and therefore probably is beyond the maturity of one as well.
To clarify, i understand my logic in the above comment wouldn’t work in all situations due to brain growth/development, but we’re talking the difference of a few years.

im fifteen in a relationship with a twenty year old also, and i think it’s the BEST choice i’ve ever made. Im far more mature than my age puts me out to be, and far more mature than my parents might guess, but i absoluely ADORE this man. If everyone could feel the love i have for him the world would be a way better place i swear, age IS just a number- and no; he doesn’t JUST want sex. He has love for me too, and i know it. He cares.
