Kabbalah minister says bird flu is punishment for gays

Now that bird flu has reached Isreal, Kabbalah Rabbi David Basri says that the virus is punishment for an upcoming election to legalize gay marriage.
He said “God punishes depravity first through plagues against animals and then in people.” This bigoted logical leap is the type of thing that should give Madonna pause. She used to embrace the gay culture, but now she’s promoting a dangerous and homophobic cult. [via]
