In fact, I believe she stays out of the limelight most of the time. She took time off to do mission work outside of the states, she went to Harvard. People who say she stresses she's smart but she's just arrogant obviously don't know she went to an Ivy League school. Sorry but your average actress could have never made it into such a prestigious school. Acting IS harder than it looks. First of all, you can't be afraid to do it in front of hundred of people, which eliminates a lot of people. Secondly it's a skill. Have you watched actor-wannabes? Watch a high school performance and for the most part they don't have the skill that a lot of famous actors do. Sure, they get to redo if it wasn't great, but not everyone can get up, read lines and convince the crowd. Natalie is drop dead gorgeous, her acting skills leave something to be desired, but she's smart and caring. Devendra... looks like a mongrel for the most part. Don't get me wrong, cleaned up he would be rather dashing, but that is my preference and you are free to drool whoever you so wish ;) Natalie Portman is not a drama queen.
