Amy Winehouse continues to find a seemingly impossible amount of new ways to be utterly revolting. You might think that after the all night benders, the scaly impetigo skin, or the rats nest of hair that’s probably home to a plethora of beetles, Amy wouldn’t go out of her way to find new, inventive means to be disgusting. But you’d be wrong. Because Amy Winehouse lives in a world far, far displaced from the normal rules and morays of society. It’s a place where it’s totally acceptable to borrow $50,000 worth of dresses from a top-notch designer, and then return them stained with vomit.
We’ve heard of some sick stunts in our time – but Amy Winehouse’s latest escapade beats the lot. She’s landed herself with a massive £25,000 bill after borrowing posh designer frocks – and returning them with her own unique calling card… splattered with vomit. Even worse, when the Back To Black singer finally returned the puke-stained outfits, her little deposits had green, furry mould growing on them. Revolting!
Unsurprisingly, 25-year-old Amy has now been blacklisted by furious fashion PRs and shouldn’t expect any loans or freebies for a while. Our insider reveals: “Harvey Nichols loaned Amy £25k’s worth of silk and satin dresses. Unfortunately, while wearing one of the frocks, she went on an all-night bender. She ended up in the loos, where she was violently sick. Let’s just say it wasn’t pretty.”
If Amy had, er, cleaned up her act (and the outfit) there would have been no problem. But it seems she forgot that dress wasn’t hers to mess up. We hear: “She eventually couriered them back on Monday, but didn’t wrap them separately. So sick had gone on all the clothes. Even worse, green, furry mould had developed on some gowns, making them unwearable.
“The store publicists weren’t best pleased. They send stuff out to celebs all the time, but it never gets into such a state. I doubt Amy will be sent any more designer gear for a while and the store has now asked for its £25k back.”

That is utterly disgusting. There are some things you expect of Amy Winehouse, but there are other things that are so disgusting you don’t expect them of anyone. If nothing else, I’d assume Amy has an assistant or some sort of handler that takes care of her errands, and that person would have prevented vomit and mold-ridden dresses from being returned to the generous store. It’s just gotten to the point where it’s sort of a “what will she do next?” situation. And no matter what you think Amy’s capable of, it’s always something worse.

Why so surprised? Yeah yeah yeah, she’s disgusting etc etc etc. Amy’s an addict and addicts, strangely enough, are not too thoughtful when it comes to either themselves or other people. Addiction is like that.
CB writers, you eased up on Brit when she was plainly ill, any chance you might do the same thing for Amy here? Or is she not ill enough yet?

With all the pap pix of her, I’ve never seen Amy Winehouse wearing anything that looks like it costs $50, much less $50K. But I have to agree that anyone crazy enough to lend her anything deserves what they get back.

I don’t know if I believe this. I certainly think it’s possible, but she’s followed by the paps ALL THE TIME, and I’ve never seen a picture of her wearing something fabulous.If she had gone out in designer clothes, where are the photos of her wearing something nice?

expect….anyway, they got their free publicity. not everyone thinks a knocked up silk dress is to be treated as a holy relichaven’t been any photo’s of Amy all week……it’s a worry - if she’s staggering around at least she’s still alive

Actually I think it’s great that they’re billing her. She’s in such a cocoon; there’s never any accountability for her actions.
I wish her family would find a way to commit her. I don’t know about UK courts, but here you can commit someone if they are a danger to themselves. It happened to Britney. Amy is definitely there.
Otherwise, you’re right, it’s like watching a suicide in slow motion.

I don’t buy this story. Since when has Wino been seen wearing anything more pricey than a $40 baby-doll dress from Urban Outfitter? Her outfits are usually piecemealed together from the stained/misshapen bargain bin at Pennys’, the donation pile at Goodwill, and dirty street clothes that were discarded by the homeless. Bitch has more important things to spend money on than clean clothes!

I think the dresses in contention may have been the nicer looking ones she’s worn at the most recent gigs. And if she’s wearing anything “nicer looking”, you know that means she did not dress herself that day.

I think the English court system must be a failure in this one regard, at least, if Amy Winehouse is not in a place to be legally and involuntarily committed at this point.
If she cannot be put away for a time to receive aid by someone…then she’s going to be dead very soon.

Duh. Harvey Nicks PR team see pics and accounts of Amy in the press every day of the week but they STILL think it’s a good idea to lend her expensive clothes? And expect them to be returned in pristine condition? Not all covered in fag burns and alcohol and kebabs and vomit? No sympathy. None.
