Lindsay Lohan thinks her father is “unnecessary & damaging”

Because no one in the Lohan family knows how to deal with each other one-on-one without telling the media about their every verbal bowel movement, we have another story about Michael and Lindsay Lohan. I have to admit something though: I had put a personal embargo on Michael Lohan stories a while ago. I simply wouldn’t read them and I flat-out refused to write about him. Michael isn’t the same as Lindsay, in my opinion. Lindsay’s crack drama is never-ending, as is Michael’s, but Lindsay is only as relevant as her current crack drama. Michael is never relevant, although he tries to boot-strap his way into relevancy by any means necessary. So I made the decision: why give Michael the time of day? Plus, you know, he kicks women in their vaginas. I’m just sayin’, why bother?

So, the embargo has been broken, briefly, but only because it related to Lindsay’s crack drama. Michael is going to be on Celebrity Rehab, being treated for his vagina-kicking rage by that hack Dr. Drew. Michael has also been talking about Lindsay as he does press for this project. And Lindsay is pissed.

Lindsay Lohan has broken her silence about her father’s recent behavior, issuing a statement to RadarOnline.com condemning Michael Lohan for talking about her publicly. Lindsay’s unexpected statement left no doubt that after a long stretch of silence about her father’s media presence, she strongly disapproves and wants him to zip it about the entire family.

“I am sorry that my father has continually chosen to speak publicly about our relationship, my mother, my siblings, and my professional team Lindsay told RadarOnline.com in her exclusive statement. “I am working through my recovery day-by-day and find his public media bouts unnecessary and damaging.”

Her statement comes just after RadarOnline.com broke the news that Michael will be appearing on Celebrity Rehab. The actress did not connect her words to Michael’s latest venture into the media potlight.

Lindsay returns to court on Thursday, March 10 on her felony grand theft case, and Michael has been vocal about that situation — and more. Father and daughter spent time together in recent months and the Mean Girls star, 24, has been mum on her father’s actions.

Michael has told the media his main priority is keeping Lindsay sober and bringing the family back together – yet Lindsay feels his behavior is having the opposite effect. And this is not the first time the 24-year-old has had issues with her father. While in rehab it became apparent that, “Lindsay blames a lot of her problems and issues on her dad,” a source close to the Mean Girls star told RadarOnline.com.

“His name came up constantly,” the source said. “Lindsay has a lot of unresolved feelings and anger towards Michael.”

Lindsay was told to come to grips with what role, if any, her dad Michael would play in her life once she returned home the source says.

There’s something about Michael stupid rage-shenanigans that actually make have a twinge of sympathy for Lindsay. And then I remember that she’s not a crackhead baby anymore, she’s a 24 year old woman with serious issues, only part of which are about “daddy”. Speaking of, here are Parts I & II of her Extra interview:

If only she’d change that to “parents”, she’d be right. Your momager ain’t doing you any favors either, Lindsay.

  2. the original bellaluna says:

Too bad no one recognised the depth of BOTH of Blohan’s parents’ inability to raise a child better than a cannibal wolf pack addicted to crack. Two other (younger) children could have been spared their “parenting” and possibly gone on to have successful, normal lives.

The entire Blohan family needs to be sterilised, for the sake of the safety of society. PLEASE. (Feel free to add anyone on any reality show, EVER; especially any MTV or VH1 show.)

  3. Phillylady says:

Well Lindsay, I quite agree with your crazy ass for once. Shenanigans, that is all this family will ever be good for.

  4. brin says:

This family makes the Kardashians look Amish.

  5. lucy2 says:

That whole family is sad, I think both parents are equally harmful. It’s amazing she doesn’t see that, but whatever. They’re all useless.

  6. Rita says:

Walking his dog without a poop baggie. How metaphorically appropriate is that?

  7. dread pirate cuervo says:

I guess he’s unnecessary b/c he doesn’t party with her like Dina does.

  8. mln76 says:

I would feel bad for Lindsay except I think she got the worst personality traits of each parent. She has had several chances to prove she is different than them at heart and has had the resources and goodwill of the people to make changes. But over and over again it’s just more crack-thievery from her.

  9. trollydolly says:

It’s at times like this when I remember why I used to really feel sorry for Lindsay. I just wish she’d stop nicking things and concentrate on getting well.

  10. Triflesec says:

The entire Lohan family is unnecessary and damaging. These people are never going to go away if everyone keeps paying attention to them. Lindsay’s entire career now consists of parodying herself, her mother seems intent on morphing into a chipmunk and her father is a pathetic, overgrown frat-boy.

  11. Elleh says:

If you were looking for an attention-grabbing headline, you should have stopped after the first 3 words: Lindsay Lohan Thinks.

  12. Ruby Red Lips says:

mln76 – couldn’t agree more, have recently realised that Lindsay is not a ‘product’ of her parents cr*ppy upbringing, but has the worst parts of her parents personalities, and this coupled with Hollywood lifestyle she never stood a chance, even without her god awful parents around.

  13. flourpot says:

Lindsay Lohan …is “unnecessary & damaging”

    Fixed that for ya!

  14. Brittney says:

    “Verbal bowel movement”… spot-on. You’re hilarious.

  15. bunkins says:

her decor is really ugly. she looks better than she has in a while tho. lips don’t look as ducky. she is saying all the right things, unfortunately her actions speak for themselves.

  16. Cha Cha Loca says:

She’s a dumbass but I really feel for her sometimes because how could she not be all screwed up with these two fucktards for parents.

  17. bluhare says:

@Rita: In the interest of fair reporting, he does have a blue poop bag sticking out of that thing he’s got clipped to the leash.

  18. Bodhi says:

    That poor dog…

  19. Matt says:

LINDSAY PLEASE STOP DYING YOUR HAIR BLONDE IT DOESN’T SUIT YOU.

    Love,

    Matt

  20. Schpida says:

Michael Lohan – The last man on EARTH with a cell phone clip. WHY WHY WHY?

  21. gg says:

I cannot listen to anymore of her bla-bla-bla – she just lies her butt off.

  22. bunny says:

I think he constantly talks to the media so she can make money off of “statements” and “interviews” she gives to the press… not to mention all the $ for product placement shots since she’s going to be photographed everywhere she goes. She’s got some serious legal bills to pay.

  23. Hakura says:

It’s incredibly annoying for them to refer to her (TWICE in this piece) as ‘the Mean Girls star‘. That movie came out freaking 7 years ago… They should use her recent accomplishments for reference, like ‘the ‘former actress’ crackaholic famewhoring thief, 24,…’

But I *do* feel sorry for her for the God-awful parents she ended up with. While they can’t be blamed for ALL of Lindsay’s problems & mistakes (She IS an adult), but sucky childhoods & selfish enabling stage-parents can have HUGE consequences on the way someone thinks, & copes with negative feelings. (Not to mention being in the entertainment industry, which chews up & spits out even the most close, ‘normal’ of families, let alone the train wreck that is the Lohans.)

I don’t think Lindsay will ever cut ties with her mother. She’s had strong anger toward her father for a long time, & I believe Dina fanned those flames, creating an ‘It’s us against the world’ sort of bond. When things with her father became bad, she clung even more desperately to her mother, which has resulted in her turning a blind eye to all of her (stage)mother’s self serving enabling, greed, & attempts to insert herself into the spotlight at Lindsay’s expense.

  24. Pink Elephant says:

Wow. What did they all do to each other in past incarnations, to be stuck together like this, this time? Their very public family relations scream of some very old, terrible karma.

Anywho, spiritual matters aside, is it just me or is there something – oh I dunno – acutely cannibalistic about that family? A step beyond Machiavellian? Like they wouldn’t hesitate to eat one another on a desert island? Even when they knew rescue was only a day away?

Speaking of feeding, I agree that they need to be starved out. ALL Lohans need to be ignored. Period!

  25. TheProcastinator says:

I think her father did try to help her, but her mother is worse and enables her daughter. Out of the 2 of them, her father is the better parent.

  26. Sakyiwaa says:

i soo wish they would just get it together.

  27. CB Rawks says:

God I hate that bastard. I can’t look at him because he is so repulsive, and yet I also want to punch his face in.
