Good. Although being the complete tool that he is, he’ll probably immediately break the terms (assume there’ll be some sort of gag order in there) by phoning the press to complain about it and repeat how evil Sam is and will end up in jail. Again, good.
Syko, see it as being anti-Michael rather than pro-Lindsay. That’s how I excuse it.

I wonder what the standard is to get one. Bc it seems to me that if she lives in CA, and he is in NY, how is she going to argue that she is in any sort of real fear of PHYSICAL harm? Judges don’t issue these things bc someone’s feelings have been hurt, generally.

I’m sad. Lindsay used ot be one of the more talented actresses in hollywood, and I have high hopes for her turning everything around.. Sam seems to be an amazingly good influence on her.
Her father’s problem with Sam is because now Lindsay isn’t quite as big news. She’s laying low. Which means MiLo loses press time to make statements.
He’s gone too far.
Go Lindsay. You’ll pull through….once you’re done mind going to save your sister from the demonic clutches of your mother?

Yeah, when I first read this story I thought, “Well someone has a case of drug-induced paranoia!”, but then I realized that Michael Lohan is lying, manipulative scumbag who gets his rocks off by publicly humiliating his friends and family.
The man is sick – possibly a borderline personality – and insists on hurting his loved ones for his own personal gain. (Although “personal gain” is subjective. The man is so delusional he doesn’t realize he comes across as a giant ass. )
I’m not sure if Linds meant to publicly announce this restraining order (fake-tit for tat), or if it got leaked by some nosy paps, but in this instance, a legal course of action is the right thing to do. If he can’t listen to reason, a restraining order is sure to send the message loud and clear.

Kaiser took the words right out of my mouth. Sam Ronson would do well to consider taking out a similar order of protection. I would imagine she has just as much (if not more) to worry about as Lindsay does.

From what CB said, it seems like the protection order can cover more than just physical harm or threats of physical harm.

Jaundice: I definitely think he has a borderline personality. The unbridled narcissism, the irrational rage toward anyone who challenges his ideas, and a host of other defects too numerous to list. I’m not a psychiatrist, but I’ve known people like this before and I’m convinced that Michael is more than just an a**hole, he’s a danger to his family and to anyone who gets in his way.

I can’t stand Lindsay and never could (and have always thought she looked ages older than her actual age–well not in ‘Parent Trap’ but ever since ‘Freaky Friday’) but this is the first time I’ve ever been able to support anything she’s ever done.
And I’m sure she’s drinking and using again but I think this actually sounds logical and not drug paranoia b/c the dude needs to shut up about her and leave her alone.
