Above is a video that Demi Lovato made over the weekend. Demi is thanking her fans for supporting her through her emotional breakdown a few months ago, in which Demi went into rehab for her eating disorder and what appeared to be a nervous breakdown. Demi got out of rehab back in January (although she’s still being treated as an out-patient, to my knowledge)… and this is her first public statement, to my knowledge. Demi says in part:
“I wanted to let you know that I am back and home…I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for the support you guys have given me along the way…Your support is what got me through this… The journey that I’ve been on has been very difficult over the past few months. I was dealing with issues that I know not only girls just my age but of all ages are dealing with. I hope to one day raise awareness… so I can help people the way you helped me during this rough time. I can’t tell you how much light you guys brought into my life in probably the darkest time of my life. Without you guys, I wouldn’t be here today…I am excited to get back to work.”
Well… good for her. I’m still worried though, just because of those rumors that she’s still hanging out with noted jailbait-loving douche Wilmer Valderrama. Wilmer is the kind of predator that can destroy any young girl’s sanity, over and over again.

She is going to end up Marie Osmond, selling her “life experiences,” her ups, her downs, in books and television appearances. She is going to tell us how she hit rock bottom but found the strength to rise again, just like a Phoenix. And like Marie, I bet she will be on next seasons Dancing With the Stars, and she will probably replace JHud for Weight Watchers.

Wilmer is apparently toxic … I always wondered why no one speculated on his potential hand in Lindsey Lohan’s ‘breakdown’. The train wreck that we now know and love began pretty much around that time.

Very nice to hear she is doing well. She does look great. It must have been so hard for her to walk away and get treatment – she had that tween star image that she knew would be tarnished. Brave!

Keep it up Demi! I don’t pretend to know what it’s like to go through this under the scrutiny of tabloids and showbiz, but I’ve been there and I know it’s hard. It’s beyond hard. Keep fighting, girl.

You know Demi got through rehab w/o tons of press. It either means her people are REALLY good at keeping things private OR she’s not as famous as her people think.
There’s a video on Youtube that’s supposed to be her snorting coke. The face is blurred and the person is threatening to unblur it. She doesn’t need this now, after all that rehab.
