Nodules, in their own, put immense strain on the vocal chords, there is just NO way one could have a large vocal career, and keep their voice healthy. It's why Mariah Carey's voice has probably disintegrated over the years. Additionally, you can't acquire nodes if you have good technical training. It's virtually impossible.
