In the same way as people think (not as much now, but it still happens) that A. I. D. S. cand be gained just by kissing, I thought I had become pregnat in the same way. It wasn't even a full-on snog, just a friends kiss on the cheek, but because I 'loved' him (now I know what love really is....) I was certain (thanks to my friends then) that I had become pregnant from the kiss and was losing the beaby with my first period! Very silly now, I know but that's what happened back then. My period was late and I was totally convinced I'd somehow had sex and blocked it out. Not to mention my best friend said maybe I was like a plant, able to reproduce on my own. I stressed out for over 2 weeks before I finally got it. It's silly, but I can see how that could happen to someone else. That’s funny, I had a similar experience when I was 13. But even when I was in junior high, 12 and 13 years old, I had friends my age, boys and girls, who were sexually active and their parents had no clue. And that wasn't because they were bad parents! I'm not saying Ozzy and Sharon were the best parents, or the worst, I'm just saying it's not unusual for even the best of parents to not have any idea when their kids start having sex. I’m 35 and I’m amazed at how much more wordly and secretive kids are now. I don't have any kids but it seems that sitting down with kids and being straightforward about sex would probably save a lot of girls from getting pregnant.
