Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel were recently in Rome for the wedding of Biel’s former Seventh Heaven co-star, Beverly Mitchell. While there they did more than just sightseeing and playing piggyback. The National Enquirer reports that Timberlake bought Biel a vintage “multicarat diamond ring,” and that it’s just a matter of time before he pops the question. Earlier reports had him postponing the wedding at his mother’s insistence. Justin’s momma is said to have warned Justin against marrying Jessica after consulting a psychic who told her the match was all wrong. Justin, 27, is said to have convinced his mom that Jessica was the one, though.
[Justin Timberlake] purchased a pricey, vintage diamond engagement ring while on an ultraromantic vacation in Rome with Jessica Biel – and pals say he’ll soon ask her to be his wife.
“Justin is ready to take the plunge,” a friend told The Enquirer.
“Jess finished moving all of her stuff into Justin’s Hollywood Hills home in early September, and now they’re planning the future – married life and kids.”
Justin and Jessica… have been dating for nearly two years. On Sept. 23, the cozy couple arrived on vacation in Rome. While in the Eternal City, they sneaked off to purchase a multicarat diamond ring and diamond encrusted bracelet.
And the first call Justin made after the big buy was to his super-protective mom Lynn…
“Justin got Lynn to come around… she’s thrilled for him.”

The Enquirer has a solid record of getting information about Timberlake and Biel and this could be true. Whether the ring was an engagement ring or not we’ll have to see. It does sound suspicious that they bought it together. I sent my then-boyfriend the website for the specific engagement ring I wanted, though, so it’s not all that different. It seems more romantic when the guy picks out the ring based on what he knows about the woman’s tastes, but there are often some not-so-subtle hints from the woman involved.
If this is true, congratulations to Timberlake and Biel. Maybe they’ll start hanging out with their newly married friends Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds and have kids around the same time.

wow…with the exception of her arms, jessica is looking quite thin and feminine here. its a good look for her. when did she buy those huge boobs?
*edit* here she is at the vmas in 2007 with smaller boobs…and a less muscle-y frame. usually gaining muscle lowers body fat, so im pretty sure they didnt grow on their own lol.

Doesn’t anyone find it funny that these “pap-hating” people are so happy to see them in Rome? They are getting photos of them smooching, riding piggyback… it’s just an upscale version of Speidi.

She looks much better here. Still I would be annoyed a man I wanted to marry would have to work so hard to convince his mom to ‘come around’. I respect he is close to her and all but when will the next scenario arise when he has to tip toe and mollify mommy? She’s not going to change overnight. That kinda controlling does not go away.
I like the idea of picking rings together but again, it’s not even close to a surprise. I would have tried to pick my own ring but I got mine after 4 months and expected it to be much longer until we got to that point,

No way do I believe this story. I liked him so much better with Cameron. I am SICK of seeing all these stories planted by her PR people. I have an idea…quit fame-whoring so much!! She is only famous her being with him, and it is so obvious that her people keep using their relationship to get her more press. Justin better get away from her while he can.
