Yesterday, there was some back and forth between various media outlets regarding Ryan Phillippe’s baby daddy drama. People Magazine, official celebrity outlet, claims that Ryan knew Alexis Knapp was pregnant almost the whole time, while Us Weekly claims that Alexis sprang her second-trimester bump surprise on Ryan, second-hand, when she told his friends at a party. I don’t really know which version to believe – I would hope that it’s People’s version, what with Alexis telling Ryan from the beginning, but you never know in Hollywood. TMZ isn’t sure either – they’ve got different sources claiming two different things regarding the issue of prenatal financial support. According to Team Alexis, Ryan isn’t helping her out financially at all. According to Team Ryan, he’s been paying her expenses:
The woman who claims Ryan Phillippe is her soon-to-be baby daddy says Ryan is a pre-natal deadbeat dad because he hasn’t paid any of her expenses … but we’re told that’s just not the case.
Alexis Knapp says her baby — due in June — is definitely Ryan’s. For his part, Ryan says he’ll take a DNA test when the baby is born and if it’s his … he’ll step up and support the kid.
But sources connected to Alexis claim while she’s been incubating, she hasn’t received a dime from Ryan and she’s hurting financially because she’s unable to work.
But sources connected to Ryan tell us Alexis is lying — that Ryan has been paying Alexis’ expenses, despite the fact that he has no obligation to do so until a judge establishes paternity.
We’re also told Ryan is furious, because Alexis agreed that if Ryan paid to support her during her pregnancy, she wouldn’t go blabbing to the media — which Ryan’s people believe she has done.
As one source connected to Ryan put it, “File this under the category, ‘No good deed goes unpunished.’”

Okay, the version I’m believing right now, at this very moment, is that Ryan knew about Alexis’s pregnancy from the beginning, and that he’s been paying her bills in an effort to keep her quiet. For whatever reason, Alexis decided to start leaking her story, and now Ryan is pissed off.
Also: In Touch Weekly (via Jezebel) claims that Ryan “suggested” Alexis get an abortion when he first heard about it. Which… I mean, that’s one of the options, right? I would be surprised if one or both of them didn’t bring up abortion. ITW says Alexis “refused”. Oh, and that Ryan didn’t tell Amanda Seyfried about his baby daddy drama, and now Amanda is “torn apart” about whether she should stay with Ryan. Amanda, girl, ENOUGH. Walk away. You do not need this crap.
Oh, and Alexis has kind of a Megan Fox thing going on, right?

Hahaha! Was watching Family Guy with my husband last night, and the episode had Quagmire running into classrooms in the school with a child in each classroom saying, “Daddy?” Then he asked a teacher to have unprotected sex. Ryan is the new Quagmire! Or Jude Law. Whichever.

He owes her nothing till the DNA test proves the paternity.
And yes, I see gold-digger behavior here too.
Yet, Ryan was the dumbass who decided not to bring the Trojan man with him on his ramdon jumpoff adventures.
I tend to believe that she put off telling him, till she was showing. And could do a little public shaming. Thinking it would get her more cash before the baby is born.
Cause lets be real. Had he coughed up a big wad a cash. She would have kept her mouth closed.
He didn’t and suddenly the tabloids have really great pictures of his pregnant jumpoff. And a new story to cover besides Crazy Charlie.
I’m sorry but I feel sorry for any baby that is conceived by a golddigger and a dumb shit. What is this girl, 23? 24? And she’s a struggling actress? A struggling actress who saw a way to hang on to someone more famous than herself. As for R.P., what an arrogant fool. This is just a whole lot of “me, me, me”. Too damn bad about that baby.
@Marjalane – I agree 100%. The kids are the ones who suffer. Maybe when the precious baby is born it will change her and she will become a good mom and person.
What’s this about not being able to work? She could find a job most of us have to work while we are pregnant and she is no different. Yes, I know there are occasions where a pregnant woman’s health keeps her from work, but I don’t believe that is the case here.

Maybe she is unleashing now because she is unhappy seeing him run all over town with a younger, more successful actress. She wouldn’t be the first woman to be bitter that the after of her child is moving on while she is pregnant and without his (emotional) support. I don’t like accusing people of getting pregnant “on purpose” because in my experience its the first thing everyone assumes abotu unwed mothers. Why because married people don’t do that stuff?! I guess a save the marriage baby is different.

I have a friend who’s ex contacted him & told him that she was having his kid. He believed her, paid for 1/2 the baby related bills, moved into a bigger place so that the child would have a room, all that good stuff. The baby was born, he was listed on the baby’s birth certificate & everything was gravy until the baby got a little bit older & looked NOTHING like him. So he got a DNA test & lo & behold he wasn’t the father. It took a really long time & a ton of money to get his name off the birth certificate & to have himself legally declared not to be the father.
I suppose my point is… if you aren’t 100% sure who the daddy is… wait for the DNA to come back before you start asking for support. I know that sounds harsh, but thats how I feel about it.
She may need some help paying her rent/bills from the man who planted the seed. She cant model bikinis while growing a child in her belly. I can not believe how many are calling her a gold digger. here is a link for an interview her mother gave.

I dont think it’s being a gold digger if the baby is his since a girl can’t get pregnant on her own so I’m not “team ryan” but I also don’t see why he’s a douche. He’s helping her out even though he doesnt know if he’s the father or not, to me thats a pretty decent thing to do.
However, I have no idea why some people feel the need to put all these stories in magazines and although I said she wasnt being a full on gold digger I bet that if she had gotten accidentally pregnant by any other guy she’d get have gotten an abortion no questions asked.
That will be a really cute baby, I hope they get along for the sake of that kid. They would make such a nice couple. Amanda should definitely break up with him.
