David Schwimmer, 44, and his pregnant 25 year-old wife step out at premiere

So David Schwimmer from Friends got married last June to a 25 year-old British waitress and photographer named Zoe Buckman. They didn’t announce the marriage until a few months later, and it was mildly shocking since David is 44 and is nearly 19 years older than Zoe. They’d been together for about three years at that point, though, and David is just a minor celebrity so no one made a big deal out of it. Zoe did look too young for him in my opinion, but their age difference didn’t seem as striking and David still looks like he could be 30-something. (I’m not loving his beard or the Elvis hair, but he still looks good.) Anyway Zoe is pregnant, they made the announcement in December when she was “four or five months” along. She must be seven or eight months now. David and Zoe were at a screening of “Trust,” a movie David directed about an online sex predator. Kaiser already covered the Clive Owen pornstache photos (he plays the vengeful dad) so here are some more.

I don’t know who this chick is who is touching Zoe’s bump, but this photo was so funny to me. It’s like she’s trying to steal a peppermint from the dish at the cash register without having bought anything.

Catherine Keneer wore a really unfortunate tiered black dress with strange reddish brown lace up dress shoes. (She plays the mom.) I really like her and hate to see her dressed like this. Don’t get me started on her hair!

Viola Davis looked great though in a black belted dress suit paired with a orange silk top. Her hair and makeup were so well done.

This movie has a dumb premise and I can’t even find the release date on IMDB (I’m sure it’s out in limited release) but it sure has enough talent in it.

I’m afraid that may turn out to be one unfortunate-looking child.

It sounds like a twist on the premise of that movie with my lover, Liam Neeson, and Shannon from Lost.

  2. Mari says:

Aw, I didn’t know! Congrats to them! And you can’t even tell she’s pregnant in the first pic.

  3. mew mew says:

Big plus for her not taking the way too cliche “my belly’s too heavy, I need to lift it with my hands, just because I’m sooo pregnant” type of photos.

  4. bite me says:

    viola wig is very offensive

  5. silken_floss says:

@mew- LMAO! I agree, I hate it when heavily pregnant women pose that way for pictures too. I roll my eyes so hard

  6. LunaT says:

It grosses me out to think of being married to someone who was born when I was 19. I was out partying w/my fake id when my husband/baby daddy was an infant? Ewww. Wonder how it all would’ve gone if he didn’t have a ton of $.

  7. StopKiddingYourself says:

Pretty sure that’s not a wig.

  8. Ari says:

His wife looks slightly like Monica Belluci profile wise…Keener got…I dunno…she looks way off. I LOVE VIOLA!

  9. Ruby says:

I am all for love and romance. A sucker for love! But a 19 year ago difference is.. Huge. What do they have in common? It’s gonna get worse especially when she’s in her 30s-40s when most women are still are active and Dave will be wanting to sit at home. Not only that if they make it she will be taking care of him. Like a nurse. But I could be wrong- I doubt it though 🙂 hehehe

  10. audrey says:

Catherine Keener looks so much like Kim Deal to me.

  11. courtney says:

um when a pregnant woman poses like that it’s to show she loves her unborn child/children. an older guy Marrying a younger girl is nothing new in Hollywood or in general Carlo Ponti 21 3/4 years older than his widow oscar winner Sophia Loren

  12. Johnny Depp's Girl says:

    fun times for all

Just a random thought since I had nothing to add here.

  13. Leek says:

Keener’s my fave. I’ll watch anything with her.

I’m happy for David Schwimmer. I hated the Ross character on Friends and then ended up thinking he was hysterical. He seems to have a good career directing, too.

I’m happy for he and his wife. I’m happy for any celeb who isn’t shoved down my throat on a daily basis. (I admit I am the one binging on them coming here though.)

  14. MaiGirl says:

It’s pretty creepy to think that she was about 20-21 and he was 39-40 when they first hooked up. There could not have been much deep, soul-searching conversation involved.

  15. lucy2 says:

That is a big age difference. Now that they’re having kids, hope it works out for them.

  16. Ann says:

She looks like his daughter. Creepy.

  17. saintdevil says:

She does not look like his daughter…in the looks department, they are both around 35.

And I bet she is the one who knows exactly what she is doing. She’s got her meal ticket.

  18. Maritza says:

I think his wife looks like Jessica Alba, she is very pretty and they make a lovely couple.

  19. Kim says:

He was 19 when she was born!!!!! YUCK!!!!! She could be his daughter!

  20. Tiffany says:

I don’ why it bothers me but, not even married a year and he is not wearing his ring. Pet peeve.

  21. RobN says:

Can’t believe how many people are hung up on the age difference. Gay’s ok, bi’s ok, polygamists are ok, japanese guys trying to marry virtual wives ok, local characters trying to marry their pet cat falls under “whatever floats your boat”, couples having multiple kids but never finding time to get married is hip and cool, but apparently marrying somebody younger/older when you’re both legal adults is beyond the pale and yucky or creepy.

Elton John’s partner is 15 years younger than him, but I can’t remember anybody ranting about that being creepy or bemoaning the fact that Elton could be his dad.

  22. Ruffian9 says:

RobN; For me, it’s more about pretty much being a generation apart. As for your post; What exactly are you getting at? Pet cat? Try thinking before you post.

  23. Confuzzle says:

If he directed it, it’s going to be bad. Unfunny, bad, dumb jokes, terrible. He’s a bad actor and even worse director.

  24. whitedaisy says:

    @RobN
You are incorrect. Not only did we give Elton John a hard time, many of us feel that he is being selfish to become a father at his age.

  25. Anti-icon says:

I just watched the movie Nothing But the Truth with David Schwimmer and Kate Beckinsale, and it was really good. (Beckinsale was particularly good.)

Congrats to the couple. Zoe’s very cute.

  26. RobN says:

Many people were upset over his choosing to become a father at his age, but I’ve never read anybody criticize him for having a relationship with somebody so much younger. In fact, many people who were concerned about the age at which Elton became a father, said that at least his partner was much younger and would be around for their child for a long time.

Personally, I think you marry whom you love, regardless of age or sex, but the attitude of those who are perfectly fine with all alternative lifestyles but then whig out over an age difference, I find to be really hypocritical.

  27. Jasssy J says:

Flockhart and Harrison Ford are 22 years apart. Catherine Zeta are even further. Age is just a number in Hollywood.

  28. Solveig says:

The resemblance between this woman and Sophie Marceau is uncanny. She’s a dada version of Sophie actually.

  29. Newbie says:

She’s so cute! I’m happy for them. She’s 25, for crying out loud. I’m 27. If I fell in love with a 40 year old, and said 40 year old wasn’t a douche-bag with a history of cheating, or didn’t have a car load of children, had some direction in his life at his age (a steady job, please), and most importantly, loved me back…I’d be all over it. As far as I know, Schwimmer isn’t a tool, and isn’t associated with 1000 women. And he’s working. Sounds fine to me.

  30. Daniella says:

It is kinda strange that a 40 something could see so much in common with someone that young but whatever they want I suppose. I dated a 38 year old when I was 21 and it was cool I guess until he started talking constantly about wanting to live together. Perhaps she likes responsibility more than I did.

  31. nnn says:

She resembles a combination between Sophie Marceau and Jessica Alba.

The age difference doesn’t bother me since they met when both were adults and at 25, some women are really mature.

She is no Bo Dereck nor Sophie Marceau who both dated/married men 30+ years older than them when they were respectively 15 and 16 years old !

  32. helen says:

I feel sorry for the blonde woman in the first photo. That is a terrible photo of her.

  33. dholmas says:

As some have said what is the big deal with the age. If they love and understand each other why not. My husband is quite a bit older and it is not a problem. They look quite happy with each other. Congrats.

  34. Zelda says:

It is very possible that a woman in her early 20s is mature enough to date a man in his 30s. I don’t get why this is so shocking for so many.

  35. Chrissy says:

I was 24 when I met my future husband. He was 43. We married when I was 25 and he was 44. He’s not rich … he was career military. Through the years the age difference has meant nothing. I remember thinking how gross the Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes pairing is and then realizing my hubby and I have more years between us. Maybe it’s just that Katie looked/seemed so young?? In this case, it doesn’t looked like he’s robbing the cradle. They look like a great match. So yeaa for them!!

  36. Bodhi says:

As a woman who is hugely pregnant I can attest to the fact that sometimes holding up your belly for a few minutes is a lot more comfortable than the alternative.
