(however, all of the magazine covers are a little much, the smart thing to do would be to lay low for a while...). but the enquirer stirring up trouble is just wrong. shes still just a kid, albeit a kid with a kid. i can just imagine how humilliating it was when the news came out that she was preg. with maddie, but this is just too much. and im speaking as thought this ISNT true. which i hope its not. It's like the idea of "educating smokers." You can show kids black lungs. You can have them sit through talks from people with emphysema and people with those false voice boxes because they lost their own larynx. Kids will still smoke. You can show kids pictures of VD's, let them talk to teen mothers who wish they'd never done it. Etcetera. In the end, they're still gonna get themselves knocked up. ...because they're teenagers. They have the attention span of fruit flies and they have the judgement of a drunk monkey. It's the way it is. I remember being that age. Everything is emotionally-driven. Sex-Ed is not the issue...though it sure is fun to make fun of the Puritans by pretending it is. The total disappearance of social consequences for being knocked up at 16 is one of the many issues. 20 years ago, this young lady's career would be over because of all this. She might have thought twice about doing it if that were still the case. Social guilt and peer pressure have their place.
