Despite being absolutely loaded, Mariah Carey must either be a cheapskate or not really like her husband Nick Cannon. Or maybe both. Mariah threw Nick one hell of a birthday party at Pure nightclub in Vegas this past weekend. Truly, the classiest of venues. Though it’s about as classy as Mariah herself, so it works.
But instead of hiring a deejay, Mimi made Nick do it. Or maybe it’s that she “let” him do it? Hard to say.
Maybe it’s not so easy being married to Mariah Carey?
When Mimi threw hubby Nick Cannon a birthday bash at Pure nightclub in Vegas, he had to deejay his own party.
The duo arrived just after midnight and, after Nick took the mic to thank everyone for celebrating with them, he got down to business.
While Nick worked the ones and twos, Mimi held court on a VIP leather bed, sipping Pinot Grigio with Nick’s mom and friends. But the birthday boy didn’t seem to mind, giving his girl a shout out at around 3 a.m. when he played a medley of some of her greatest hits for the packed house.
And that’s not all Mimi’s got him doing. Nick directed her latest video on Sunday, which was also filmed in Sin City.

What is the expiration date on this couple, wasn’t it something like six months ago? I thought they’d be near the end of their divorce proceedings. Um… I mean happy birthday Nick. May your next year bring you much happiness.

oh, i just assumed that she made him serve drinks or walk around and pick up the “empties!” Hey, nick i need more ice for my drink, and then when you’re done fetching that, bring my car around because this party SUCKS!

I think he probably wanted to do it. He’s been “DJing” for a little while now. I guess it’s to make up for his lame credentials.

OMG something about this article just strikes me as hilarious. Maybe it’s the visual of ‘here’s your party, now get to work’ or the visual of “Mimi” laying on a couch like an Egyptian princess - what a joke!

I know Mariah on the bed, reclining like she is royalty ha. She’s so OTT and just cheesy sorry. Maybe he likes it. he’s a sub. They are out there I guess. Ew.
Her music is so 90s nice way to ruin a set by playing a ‘mash up’ or medley of her stuff.
There’s nothing at all likable about her. That’s why the divorce will be hilarious to watch
