Instead he just deflated her to his semi-lifeless level. I think she was lonely and worried after a couple of high profile relationship failures, and here was this guy she used to idolize interested in her. He just wanted a career boost and another impressive bit of arm candy. The vow renewal seems like a desperate "let's validate this shaky relationship" gambit. Also, it always gives me the icks that he knew Lopez for years, but married Miss Universe, and only became interested in Lopez after she became a global phenom and could do something for his limited career.

Instead he just deflated her to his semi-lifeless level.

I think she was lonely and worried after a couple of high profile relationship failures, and here was this guy she used to idolize interested in her.
