The fundamentalist Christians/Republicans in the South and Mid-West are trying to limit a woman's access to RU-486 and birth control pills. @Kim - the "two months of political expediency" I was referring to was the haphazard announcement of Bristol's pregnancy and engagement. I don't so much blame Bristol and this guy - I blame the McCain campaign for picking Palin and forcing these kids into the spotlight. Daisy – WTF? Abortion may be reprehensible, but the most logical solution is to have the choice. It's not like they are tossing mothers on conveyor belts and aborting babies. Removing the right to choose will not eliminate abortion, only put it back underground and then we'll have women dying from infections from dirty back-alley jobs as it was in before Roe v. Wade.
