Last night was the big premiere of Scream 4, and exes David Arquette and Courteney Cox posed together and seemed more than comfortable to be around each other. (A photo of them together is here.) We’re used to seeing acrimonious splits in Hollywood and to hearing vague unconfirmed reports about how people are sniping behind the scenes. David and Courteney have been more than open with the press, though, and have issues gracious statements about each other throughout. So this latest comment from David, about Courteney’s vacation with her co-star Josh Hopkins, isn’t unexpected. He previously told Oprah that he “thought she was having an affair with someone” when the tabloid stories came out about Courteney and her other co-star, Brian Van Holt, but that it was “not true at all. She could relate to members on her cast and she could talk to them in a way she couldn’t talk to me.” I would say he sounds just as in-denial here, but he adds that things are good between him and Courteney, that “we’re still separated” and “there’s no scandal.”
“We’re best friends,” Arquette said of Cox on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show Monday morning. “We’re not together. We’re still separated.”
“And you know, there [are] horrible articles right now,” he said. “She went away to St. Bart’s with Coco and her best friend and Josh from the show, and I know about all of this. But these tabloids make it like there’s some kind of scandal going on. But there’s no scandal.”
A rep for the actress at the time said her relationship with Hopkins was “strictly platonic.” And Cox and Arquette reunited to take daughter Coco to Walt Disney World in Florida days after her Caribbean trip.
In fact, Arquette, 39, says their relationship is built on strong communication. “We’re really honest and open,” he said. “Our relationship right now is actually better than ever.”

Well good for the two of them if they’re able to be at peace with each other and successfully co-parent. I think Courteney met some hot guys at work, had an emotional affair with one of them, asked for time out on her marriage so she could screw the guy, and then David went into a tailspin. Things went south with the first guy, so Courteney moved on to another and made quite a few visits to her plastic surgeon in the meantime to get new boobs and freshen up her face. She’s looking more like Cher now than like herself. I imagine the process was gradual and that she didn’t think it would make her look like a puppet head. She probably even likes the results.
Look at Courtney’s dress – it’s a little black mock turtleneck sleeveless dress with a lace hem. What was she thinking? She also has some kind of sparkly stuff on her legs that makes her knees look like they were dipped in glitter. I’m not loving Neve Campbell’s little pocket frock, but it’s better than what Courteney is wearing.

I didn’t think CC’s surgery was too much (maybe because she looks more natural than the other chick on Cougar town) but you can really see when she stands next to Neve Campbell — who looks radiant and natural and is aging beautifully.
The tan on her legs looks really bad – especially standing next to Neve Campbell. And I agree about the surgery – she was so pretty but she looks… odd now. I’m a fan of hers but she looks like a waxwork.
I’ve read some blind items that suggest they have an open marriage. It seems Courtney has a hall pass to cheat I think they actually may end up getting back together after all once she sews her oats.
I wish they would work it out and get back together. They just seem right together.
What I don’t understand about C.C. is why she breaks that cardinal rule about not “sh—ting where you eat” when dealing with her male co-stars…

My God, Courtney’s face looks like a waxwork mask! I always thought that she was the prettiest one on Friends, but its sad to see how much work shes had done.
Please stop Courtney! She used to be so beautiful..now she’s so fake..ugh.. anyway I’m not buying this “friend” stuff, I’m sure she got hot with that friend and told David stuff to make him shut up and support her -so that he could be her final jump off and not to ruin their friendship/co-parenting-.

Well, Neve is 10 years younger so the comparison isn’t quite fair.
But yeah, these pics are awful, her tan is too much and she looks worn out and unhappy and her dress isn’t flattering at all. She looked so much better on that vacation in bikini.
Don’t get why people are bothered about her supposed affairs. They both are technicaly single, that’s the deal they made opting for separation, so she’s free to play the field and so is he.
They both are living their life and at the same time have managed to stay friendly and civil. I say good for them, no need to judge.
She’s a grown-ass woman getting a divorce, jeez, let her have a boyfriend. David is so classless with his babbling to the press.

IMHO, there is nothing wrong with their friendship. Jen did not attend because:
1. Jen was not involved in the movie.
2. Jen did not want to upstage Courtney’s night.
3. Courtney was not alone or in need of support.

I wish she wouldn’t have messed with her face, she was so naturally pretty. Honestly I’m getting dam* sick of seeing all these lovely women (and men) getting botox, fillers, facelifts, nose jobs, boobs jobs, lip injections… can’t a person just age naturally and gracefully anymore?? Once you start down that road too, how do you stop? Are these people going to be 80 with stretched crazy faces, thinking they look great but really scaring small children? Oh and her legs, wth… when your legs are 6 shades darker than your face and look like you took a bath in glitter and you’re in your 40’s, it’s time to rethink your look.

In terms of her sex life, I get the feeling that she and David are pretty open with each other about things and that they have some sort of an agreement.
I was watching one of the entertainment shows when they first split. There was an interview and she and David were talking plastic surgery. He was saying how much he hated it. That he liked when people had lines in their faces.. character. She was sitting by him and had the ugliest look on her face. And she said something like he should wait til he got older and and he would understand because he was too young to. It was very telling. I think she really had or has a lot of issue with her age and getting older. He however didn’t, and I think he would love her wrinkles or whatever.
Pink and Corey got back together after a separation. But it just seems like she is done and is kind of playing him a bit. Which is sad.
But she looks not great, and the over tanned legs are so over.

David is like an unattractive manchild. courtney needs a real man who can take care of her needs as well as his own self unlike david.
I always liked CC, found her to be pretty forthright, but am reconsidering. Not so much the “we’re on a break” BS (though that’s part of it) but mainly because it makes me downright uncomfortable to look at her face now. She was, and still would be, incredibly beautiful if she’d just knock it off! I remember she once said “aging is not for sissies”–so what exactly does that make you now, Courteney?
