Glee girls Lea Michele, Dianna Agron and Amber Riley cover the May issue of Marie Claire (America). They did a cover all together (although Dianna seems ‘Shopped in), and then each one got a separate cover – my guess is that the separate covers will go to the subscribers? Perhaps. Here’s a question: Do you think Lea Michele was pissed that she didn’t get her own cover? Is that what her face says to you? Like, “Um, don’t you know that I HAVE PERFECT PITCH and I’m thin and beautiful and I belong on the cover BY MYSELF?!?” Actually, I think Lea seems kind of fine with sharing the cover. Weird, I know. I usually want to smack her, but not today. I’m feeling generous! Here’s a little preview of the interview(s):
MC – Your character’s friendship with Kurt is so special. Who’s your Kurt in real life?
Amber Riley – “Kurt! Chris Colfer really is my Kurt. That’s my baby. Having his character at that other school – Dalton Academy-this season is driving me up the wall.Dianna Agron – “Everybody is convinced that Lea and I are in a relationship. There are forums with photos of us hugging.”
MC – You famously got into a car accident on the way to your Glee audition, ditched the rental and ran to the Fox lot anyway. Were you at all afraid they would think you were nuts?
Lea Michele – “I was more afraid that they’d think I was using that as an excuse for being late. Because at first they were like, “Oh, my God are you OK?” But after a while they were joking, “So that ‘car crash’ you were in….” I literally had chunks of glass that I pulled from my hair and put on the table. I look back on that day and think, I can’t believe I did that. I left the car on the side of the road. But something came over me.”

Really, Dianna? That’s what you’re going to talk about, how there are maybe a handful of people who think you’re a lesbian, and you’re going to give those people credence? Sometimes I forget that Glee is the first big break for almost everybody on there. Some of them just don’t know how to talk to the press.
In other Glee news, I’m sure you’ve heard that Dame Gwyneth will deign to goop her way through another episode. This time, it seems like Dame Goop is going to vocally rape my beloved Adele. Now… Adele has pipes. Adele’s voice is, in a word, magnificent. Gwyneth’s voice is… okay when it’s auto-tuned. Why in the word did Adele give Glee permission to molest her songs? UGH. UGH. This gives me physical pain. Here’s the song that Goop will be musically chain-sawing:
Um… Adele has more soul, talent and coolness in her pinkie than Lea, Dianna and Goop all put together. Amber gets a pass because I don’t know much about her.

She should be more pissed that Glee has jumped the shark and she’s not going to be hired for anything much else due to her (un/deserved?) diva image. Dianna may not have the singing chops, but she’s easily pretty enough to play the “girlfriend” role for the next few years. Amber is doomed to fighting off Gabourey Sidibe (Precious) for every token obese, black girl role in Hollywood.

Nothing about the pathetic, shoulder-slouching “high fashion” pose on Lea’s cover? Not to mention how te lighting makes her look like the lady from Seinfeld, where one minute she’s pretty and then BAM she’s Quasimodo! Their interviews are just enough to bring me back from the edge of watching that mess.

Amber looks awesome (and real) in the spread – much better than the manufactured and boring photos of Lea.
Would have loved to have seen a similar spread to Vogue’s Nine cover / photo special (the one with Nicole, Penelope, Fergie, Kate, Marion, Judi and Sophia)with all the Glee girls.
Why don’t the other girls (who play Tina, Santana, Brittany) don’t rate the same media coverage Lea and Diana seem to?
adele wasn’t the main songwriter on her songs, therefore the publishers can license to whom they want with little say from her, i don’t think it was her choice
God how I love Adele! her voice is like butter unlike that Lea’s screeching hyena voice.
Adele wouldn’t have necessarily given Goopy permission. She’d give license for the music to the show and they’d decide what to do with it and how to work it in. So she probably didn’t knowingly say, “Gwyneth Paltrow can shit all over my hard work.” *Shrug* I’d take Adele any day of the week but this will just add to her notoriety and success, so whatever, I guess.
Well, if Adele/her writers hadn’t given Glee permission, in the place of this story there’d be another bratty, name-calling rant from Ryan Murphy.

I’m being realistic, not bigoted. Overweight actresses do not get leading roles. Black actresses do not get leading roles. If you’re both you’re screwed. Both Jennifer Hudson & Queen Latifah realised they had to lose weight to work; Halle Berry had work done to get a more “caucasian” look. It’s not actually racist to point this out, y’know!
UGH! No more Goop! Amber Riley is the only one who mag cover really looks good. LM looks like she has gas and DA looks like she’s going to sneeze.
Let’s not overlook the fact that Amber is the only one smiling in either her solo or the group cover.
Gawd those individual covers are heinous/tacky looking. Amber’s isn’t too bad, but what is up with those dead eyed open mouth stares everywhere? Lea’s esp., it’s fug. Glee has pretty much lost my attention, the Gwyneth situation just being the icing on the cake. Last year they had guest singers who were amazing,Kristen Chenowith, etc. This year it’s all singing, no plot, and too much GOOPY blandness. I’m not on the Adele train, I think she has a good voice but her songs just kinda bore me, I dunno…can’t imagine GOOP would offer much to them though.
I am really up in arms about Goopy ruining this song too. Hopefully it won’t another ‘hit’ for Gwyneth and Adele won’t sell out and sing with Goopy at the Emmy’s or something.

Give these girls a break. They are young and new to Hollywood. I think they speak fine in public and to the press. At least thay have talent and deserve to be on cover of Marie Claire unlike any of the Kardashians etc.

I think Dianna is gorgeous and can see her working in Hollywood for awhile just based on looks. Hell if Blake Lively can get roles why not her? Lea is better suited for Broadway IMO and Amber I love!

There is also a video of when she shot this mag with Amber and she was making a video for a sick fan and it was very sweet and she was happy to be doing a photo shoot with Amber.

Totally no reason for the title of this post. I’m guess using Lea name at least gets you a few hits. Wouldn’t get as mention attention with the other two.
Interesting method of slimming Amber — flanking her and covering her sides with the other two. It’s creepy and unfortunate, but at least they didn’t mess up her face too badly.
Is Lea mad? I certainly hope so. If we’re really lucky, within the next couple of years she will get so crabby about people besides her having good things in their lives that she will give up, walk away from L.A. in a huff, and DIE.
I think Dianna and Amber look gorgeous, although I’d prefer it if Dianna was smiling too. Why don’t magazines ever have their cover girls smile? Horseface McBitch on the other hand… She thinks she’s the shit, and she’s not. I’m really hoping her character will leave Glee so the others get a chance for solos occasionally.

Guys, Lay off the hate for Lea. She is amazing and beside the fact that they don’t choose what picture gets put on the front of the magazine. They probably don’t even get to decide if they smile or if the pose. At least Lea is smiling in the first one which Dianna is not. Also it says this website ‘aims to be a friendly, welcoming site’ .. well if you want that don’t name the site Celebitchy and make up stories about people.
