Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck were photographed out together, supposedly looking for a school for one or both of their daughters, and they looked pretty happy and content for once. They often seem disconnected and upset in candids, but I think their mood is usually a reaction to the paparazzi that hound them and isn’t necessarily a reflection on their relationship. Kaiser isn’t a fan of Garner, and I understand that criticism that Lainey and Kaiser lob at her – that she’s shuttling her kids out to promote stuff, that she’s arranging photo ops. I don’t agree with that take on her, and I’ve seen video of the paparazzi absolutely swarming her when she’s out with her kids. I think that Garner and Affleck live a predictable life, that they’re followed everywhere and and that they deal with it the best they can. The worst that Ben has done is flip the bird a few times and scowl, which is completely understandable and a pretty mild response to what he goes through daily.
These two don’t even have a bodyguard (Kate Gosselin has one for God’s sake) and while Garner has admitted to having a nanny she isn’t usually seen out with a lot of helpers. I like them, I can’t help it. They don’t seem to think they’re regal, they do live the high life but they don’t seem to flaunt it or overextend like Ben’s ex J.Lo and her diminutive control freak husband. I’m rooting for them, but frankly I’m surprised they’ve lasted as long as they have. I had to say something negative and there it is. I’ve seen a lot of friends split up and marriage is a tough prospect for anyone, particularly two people in the spotlight with such different schedules. We’ve heard a lot of stories about trouble in their relationship, and this blind item may point to them. It’s got to suck when your movie bombs too, although Garner wasn’t the main headliner on Arthur.
Last week Garner dished on her sex scenes with Russell Brand in Arthur. She said “I’m very familiar, in my own way, with the anatomy of Russell Brand — and it’s good.” He was wearing underwear, though, or she may have needed some antibiotics to stop that familiarity from itching.

I don’t understand the animosity toward Jennifer Garner. A few years ago, my friend was housesitting for the owners of the company she worked for. Garner showed up to visit them (she’s a friend of theirs). My friend explained they were on vacation, and when Garner found out my friend is from WV, she stayed to talk for a while. She was really down to earth and not at all stuck up.

I really like them as a couple and they seem genuine. It’s nice to see this homely pics of them. I know how it is looking for a good school for kids nowadays.
Garner seems genuinely down to earth and it’s clear that her kids come first. Who cares what she wears or how she looks when she’s “off the clock” — she probably wants to blend in as much as possible and not draw attention to herself. Slapping on the bright red lipstick & other warpaint and taking an entourage with her everywhere like Gwen Stefani is not Jen’s style and is probably not the best way to achieve ay measure of anonymity.
Ben seems a lot more relaxed maybe the paps are keeping a more polite distance and using a long lens?

I do think she arranges pap shots of she and the girls-and he doesn’t like it at all.
She never seems to wear makeup and yet has flawless skin. I think she’s lovely and have been a fan of hers since Alias. If Ben did cheat on her and if she did look the other way, it is kind of sad, but really none of our business.
I like them. I hope they make it. She seems like a very good mom. At least she’s with her kids.

Maybe they had a rough patch (Blake Lively, cough cough) and have worked things out. But then again who knows? JG does give the impression of a woman determined to keep her family intact. Hope Ben is a good boy.
Her wardrobe is that of a typical suburban mom. I prefer that to celebs who wear Jimmy Choos and need an entourage to bring their kids to school.
No, she doesn’t .If she did don’t you think she would glam it up like other stars do.You can tell by their body language that they hate it especially their kids.

As a mom of two girls (well, come July there will be two) I know that it changes your marriage fundamentally. If a marriage can survive kids, it’s got to have something in it that works. I never had much hope for these two, but I love them and hope they work out.
Why the nasty comments on her outfit? She wasn’t at an event to publicize anything, just going about her daily business. Why do we as women place such hige expectations on other women. Do the ones being snarky look their best at all times?

I love Jennifer Garner so, so much. I think she’s adorbs & her kids are even more so, & overall I wish her nothing but the best. That being said – the polyester looking pants & old lady sweater & big sunglasses & hand on Ben’s arm makes her look EXACTLY like my blind grandma. My grandma kicked ass, but still, her fashions at 85 (& blind, w/ my grandpa picking out clothes) weren’t the greatest.
I like Ben more and more, he’s progressive. His new movie “The Town” is actually very good. Jennifer just seems like a “Mom” who happens to make movies for a living. She wears what she’s comfy in while being a “Mom”, maybe she dislikes fussy girly wear, not all of us women need to confirm our femininity by dressing in a certain way. For example I despise those stupid flat shoes on any woman, except a ballet dancer that is dancing in proper ballet flats. Now I’ve used the word “proper” too many times this morning between this post and another, I’m going.

Jen Garner is one of my favorite people EVER. I’ve been lucky enough to have worked on a couple films with her and even now, if I’m in LA (I’m currently NY based) and I see her somewhere, she always hello to me by name and chats a bit about mutual acquaintances.

Wow, smiling and being affectionate, maybe these two really are in love. Jenn has been really cute on the talk show circuit. I would imagine working with Russell Brand helped her sense of humor and maybe lightened up her attitude. It’s good to see them happy.

Sorry … still don’t like them AT ALL as a couple. And a couple of random photos (out of the other million that show them unhappy) don’t change it for me. Nothing toward either one individually – just my opinion. They seem like polar opposites and not in a good way.

I believe they are more photographed when they get back to promoting something, like all the other celebrities, because there’s some buzz about them and the editors request new pictues. I agree that they probably have a VERY predictable life in general.
Predictable as always, you always see them acting like a married couple when they have movies to promote or in garner’s case stinking up the box office. The marraige has lasted because she’s a good wife who lets her husband do what he wants as she looks the other way.
She’s a bitch and it would be pretty funny if they split up soon after this considering they’ve stayed together after all of the miserable pics. I also think she calls the paps, or sometimes purposely hangs out where she knows they’ll be.
I don’t mind the way she’s dressed. And I doubt her hair needs washing, just a catty comment by someone for whatever reason.

I do think they have more than their fair share of problems, but there is genuine affection in these pictures, and that’s really nice to see.
While I think she’s kind of “meh” as an actress, Jennifer Garner comes across in interviews as nice, down to earth person.
However, if I were her, I wouldn’t have married and had kids with Ben Affeck. He’s definitely hot and I’m sure fun to hook up with, but he doesn’t strike me as the kind of guy you marry. He gives off a “cheater” vibe. I really tend to believe the stories about Blake Lively-out of all of the gossip stories this year that one for whatever reason hits me as having some truth to it.

Terrible actress (really awful – I can’t watch her stuff), but I think she’s a good mom and, until proven otherwise, I don’t think she stages her pap shots. Call me naive, but I’m buying what she’s selling.

I don’t get it. People are always saying that she plays the paparazzi game. Yet, I don’t see a whole lot of pictures…ever…?!?. She seems really normal/nice to me. Of course, who can tell (though I would trust that Liana knows what she’s talking about)? If I were that lovely, I’d be horrendously bitchy. And she always seems nice. AND…there aren’t thousands of stories and tabloid messes that suggest that she’s trying really hard to be something she isn’t. I can’t help but like that. I hope they stay together.
