Queen Latifah continues to take roles stereotyping black people

Queen Latifah will star in “Welfare Queen”

the supposedly true story of a woman who took advantage of the welfare system. She should know better than to play to stereotypes, but this is the woman who starred in “Bringing Down the House,” so WTF does she care?

The stereotype of the black welfare queen is not accurate. Statistics show that more white people are on welfare than blacks. It’s also heartless to focus on the scant few who are taking advantage of the system when the reality is having to live hand to mouth for most. It’s not like welfare takes good care of people in America, either.
