These are some new photos of the LA premiere of Kung Fu Panda 2. Brad and Angelina are back in LA, obviously, and they were the stars of the red carpet. Angelina wore a BLACK SACK, of course. Except… it’s not really a sack. It’s a rather nice Michael Kors dress with a side-slit and cap sleeves, and the soul of a sack. It looks nice on her. The shoes are Ferragamo. Brad is wearing… sand. He’s all one color. Sandy Sand Sand Pitt. Brad’s kind of celebrating though – his film, Tree of Life, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, took home top honors today with the Palm d’Or. Congrats to Terrence Malick, although winning the Palm d’Or doesn’t necessarily translate into box office, wider critical acclaim or the awards season. It might just mean that Malick could fart for two hours and most industry professionals would call it “bold, inspired, thought-provoking, adult cinema!”
A couple of things I wanted to note: are those big panda costumes supposed to terrify children? Because they’re kind of terrifying me as an adult. In close-up photography, the panda’s face looks completely unhinged and murderous. Also: Angelina’s boobs look kind of big. She looks boobier than usual, although she’s always been kind of unexpectedly booby. Do you think that Angie’s rack will inspire a new round of pregnancy rumors?
And… I kind of like Brad’s hair. I prefer him with less hair product, and honestly, this is one of the cutest bobs I’ve seen in the past year. He’s not Carey Mulligan, but his hair is pretty awesome right now.

Here in Italy The Tree of Life is getting very good reviews, unfortunately though, only 100 theatres – in the whole country – are screening it. I bet in the US it won’t be any different, thus box office bomb. Sad. I mean, it doesn’t bother me if it will bomb, it wasn’t supposed to be a hit to begin with, but I’d love to see more and more people approaching to Malick’s aesthetics and sense of beauty, life, dream and cinema. I would really be happy if the majority of moviegoers would start loving something more substantial than stupid action movies or boring romcoms…

The handful of philistines who booed it at the premiere have egg on their faces now. There probably weren’t enough boobs and explosions in it for their liking. Anyhoodle TTOL should do pretty well at the box office. Not only does it have the Palm d’Or but it also has Brad and Sean in it which should help. But box office aside I can’t wait to see it.

Her face and skin really are amazing, but I wish she’d go back to the weight she was at when she was with Billy Bob Thornton. She was still very thin, and I think Angelina is naturally very waify. She has big tits but she’s got a pretty small butt and thin limbs. But back then she was looked soft. Like she had padding.
I honestly think she didn’t start getting really thin until after her first pregnancy, and then even moreso after the second. She might be one of those people who’s metabolism gets thrown off in the other direction after having a baby. Either way, she looks mighty stickish.

Apparently those “sunglasses” are actually prescription glasses that tint in sunlight. Brad said in Cannes his eyesight is getting progressively worse so it’s not so much a sytle thing as a necessity thing.
They both look great, more polished than they have in some time. But for the hair, ugh to both. She is wearing her custom-fitted corset (complete with padded boobs). You can clearly see the lines through her outfit.
Nice dress, but I think the slit is redundant: it would have been more classy without it.
About Cannes: here in Italy The Tree of Life is already in theaters (I’ve seen it Saturday), and in my opinion is nothing to write home about. I say this as someone who LOVED Malick’s previous film, The New World. TTOF is pretentious, visually stunning (colours, photography) but unlike A Single Man, there’s nothing else: no story, allegories so trivial and incredible boring (really…all the part about the Earth’s birth is HORRIBLE). They gave the Palm d’Or because, hey, Terrence Malick bring here his new movie, it’s a masterpiece! Blah.
I also disagree about the prize for Kirsten Dunst: I felt just like two years ago with Antichrist. Edgy/controversial movie with nothing to say, but it’s Lars Von Trier! Let’s give an award, but not to him because everyone would protest. Let’s recompense the main actress! Difference is, Charlotte Gainsbrough can act. Dunst never stand out, and I doubt she was better than Tilda Swinton.
Angie has had implants for years. In one of her earliest movies, Gia, she was filmed topless a lot and she was as flat as a board, which is on par with her body type (small boned, long limbs, high metabolism). Later in her career while she was filming Girl Interrupted she was thinner, but significantly bigger in breast size. Hasn’t anyone noticed that when her weight fluctuates from healthy thin to scary thin her breast size stays relatively the same? I do think that she may have increased the size of the implants recently. It gives the effect that she has put on weight, but when u look at her elbows they are totally bony. Also the blouse and belt add some weight to her waist. Without the implants, and her relatively conservative clothing she would look like a stick woman.

What I find interesting, is that about a month ago I made a comment on celebitchy re. Angie being too thin and not looking healthy (e.g. thinned hair) and I got RIPPED apart. I was told I was jealous, a hater, not very observant, and a bunch of other crap. The thing is I love Angie…her movies, her humanitarian efforts, her view on life, her fashion style. I also don’t think of her as a homewrecker because it takes two to cheat, and everything is not as black and white as it seems.

I really think she’s just a naturally waify person – I was watching Girl Interrupted recently and her weight seems to be about the same. It can look shocking because we are so used to seeing overweight people everywhere. The only time I’ve really seen Angelina *not* super skinny was when she intentionally bulked up for Tombraider and she can’t be expected to maintain that all the time. I do think she has implants though – I saw some pics of her at 18 and she was flat and gawky looking.

A loon will not tolerate any criticism whatsoever of Angelina, no matter how small. If you adore her but mention you don’t like the color of her shoes, you WILL be called a hater. That’s weird, because most normal people are able to remain objective even about their family members, like “I love her but I wish she wasn’t late all the time”, you know that’s normal. But a different set of rules apply when it comes ot Brangelina. They are in all aspects and all regards PERFECT.
Brad looks dirty, creepy & icky (and he can’t act) I wish he would go away. Angie is beautiful but the styling is all wrong. for a celebrity couple that can afford the best stylists, they sure look horrible most of the time. She was actually thinner when she was wearing that yellow dress at Cannes in 2007. “Naturally waify” is a good description.
I’m naturally waify too, and most naturallty waifys do gain weight as adults as the metabolism slows, especially after child(ren). When someone looks too thin in photographs it usually means they’re too thin. Angie would do well to put on 10 lbs. Then she could rock any outfit she wanted to. Personally I think she should wear black skirts, white shirts, and do the sexy librarian thing. But she doesn’t listen to me.
I think AJ is too skinny also, but she rocks that outfit. I love it. It looks well on her and gives her a waist since she normally has no waist.

@ lil – U posted two pics of Angie. In the first she is about 17 yrs. and although thin at the time it is pretty clear from the pic that she is thinner now. Not sure why u don’t see that.
As for her endowment, I will admit in the first pic she looks bigger than she did in Gia, but not by much. I find that strange because she was topless in Gia, and older. In the second pic she looks like she is in her 20’s and is definitely more endowed than the first photo. Later in her career to the present day she is significantly more endowed than what is shown in the second photo. Either way her body has remained thin (albeit healthy thin vs. scary thin) and her breast size has increased dramatically.
TruthSF- That is true. But they’re still neutral colors. Most of the time you still see her in black, especially in pap pictures. I get it, black is easy to throw on and doesn’t stain easily.
But picture with me this outfit with a splash of color! The top could be a saphire blue, or lavender, or an emerald green! Or the entire thing (is a dress or a skirt and top?) could be a beautiful color with a black belt.
That face deserves much better, IMO.
It’s amazing to me that people are basing their relationship soley on how “good” they look together. I’m old enough to remember former “golden” couple Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor(the Angelina of her day in more ways than one). People ranted and raved on how they loved each other,how “passionate” they were, all of the lovely kids they had, what a beautiful couple they were! I believe you’re familiar on how THAT all turned out.
Brad and Angie’s relationship seem to have changed for the better, for some reason I think they got married. There is just something different about them these days and it shows up in their pictures on the red carpet.
