Enquirer: Attorney General investigating whether Arnold used taxpayer money

The Arnold Schwarzenegger scandal keeps churning along, and there are plenty of as-of-yet unknown details and future developments to keep us busy for some time. The best way I’ve found to catch up on all the breaking news in this story is in the “Divorce” section of HuffPo. They have some general divorce articles and advice in there, and it’s also the best aggregate source I’ve found for all the Arnold stories.

First off is The Enquirer’s kind of explosive claim that the Attorney General’s office is conducting an inquiry into whether Arnold misappropriated taxpayer money by having members of his California Highway Patrol security team ferry women to his suites at hotels. (Are you hearing the CHiPs theme song in your head? I am, and I’m seeing Ponch and Jon joking around with some little blonde thing as they walk her to the Governor’s suite. Who am I kidding? He liked them big and brunette.)

In a bombshell exclusive, RadarOnline.com has learned the Office of the Attorney General, a branch of the Department of Justice, is conducting a preliminary evaluation into the scope of Schwarzenegger’s double life, which allegedly included using his state-funded security details to cover up women being escorted into his hotel room.

Veteran hotel security officer William Taylor said he witnessed the “Governator” using California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers and vehicles to ferry scantily-clad women in-and-out of his suite at the Sacramento Hyatt Regency where he and wife Maria Shriver often stayed.

“It makes me very angry just to think of what was going on at that time,” Taylor, who passed a polygraph test about his claims, told the latest edition of the National Enquirer.

“On three differed occasions after the governor arrived alone at the Hyatt Regency, CHP Dignitary Protection Services arrived in their official vehicles, black Ford Crown Victoria sedans – about one to two hours later with one or two young females.

“They’d hurriedly escort the women through the service entrance on the second floor parking garage to the elevator that went to the governor’s private wing… the women would usually stay for two to four hours and either leave through the hotel’s main entrance or be driven away by the CHP in the same official vehicles.”

[From Radar Online]

TMZ of course tries to refute this, like the competitive high school girl they are, and has former members of Arnold’s security force quoted on the record as saying that they never witnessed anything out of the ordinary with Arnold. Arnold has hired attorney Marty Singer, who calls the story from Radar and The National Enquirer a fabrication. It sounds like the Enquirer has a source, though, and that they’re standing by their story.

Meanwhile that mistress who hired Gloria Allred, former child actress Gigi Goyette, has a new video interview with Extra. (Below.) Gigi previously gave details of her affair with Arnold to The National Enquirer, and you can read about that here. She doesn’t say anything new to Extra. This whole scandal is looking even more similar to the Tiger Woods mess. Some of his hired help went to Extra too.

Speaking of the hired help, Arnold’s first known extramarital baby momma, Mildred Baena, has threatened to sue Entertainment Tonight for that interview in which her ex husband insisted that he thought her youngest son was his. Baena’s lawyer writes that the ex knew all along that he couldn’t have fathered the 13 year-old, because he was out of the country when the boy was conceived. Also, as many of you pointed out, although the ex husband is listed as the father on the child’s birth certificate, Mildred checked the box for “no minor children” when she filed for divorce.

Amid all this, Arnold has fled to Ketchum, Idaho, where he was seen riding a bike. TMZ has a photo of him there. I googled the place and it’s a ski area, Sun Valley, with plenty of luxury resorts. I would assume the guy is renting an entire house. That just looks amazing. I need a vacation.

How come not one person in those pix is throwing eggs/tomatoes at him?

He’s so gross. His conduct is disgusting.

  2. Kaboom says:

I doubt he has to rent a house there. He probably owns one .. or a few.

  3. Blue says:

Lol @ tmz comment. This woman needs to get her story straight. When Arnold first admitted the kid was his she still was saying it was her ex’s until they told her Arnold admitted it, then she had nothing to say. I love how people are acting like it’s out if the realm of possibility that Arnold misused taxpayer dollars to commit his cheating.

  4. ladybert62 says:

He is riding a bicycle in a suit? Strange man.

  5. djork says:

He looks good with orange hair.

  6. constance says:

That hug… (my eyes need a rest- all this rolling around)

Hide in your resort and ignore the media because your people tell you its for the best. happy days! >.>

I wonder how much info can emerge w/out tarnishing his career. Mel Gibson’s seems to mildly effed. Tiger’s isn’t that screwed up b/c he plays golf and people are still going to attend tourneys. I’m moving to another country if more and more crap can come out about Arnold being a sleeze and he still has a movie career. Anyone wanna come with? Chris Brown can beat a woman up(really, save the “but he’s changed” crap b/c the kid doesn’t seem at all repentant) and Michael Vick can make $ from torturing animals but they are still able to have a career and make more $ than most of us will see in our lifetime. Hoping it doesn’t go down the same way w/Arnold.

  8. Quest says:

I think he is enjoying the bike a little too much. Ah wonder if the bike-seat is on. Maybe a new avenue for the Douchernator

  9. anoneemouse says:

Can’t wait to see his fat lumpy ass indicted.

  10. lucy2 says:

That bike photo is weird. I wouldn’t be surprised if he used state resources, he seems to think he’s above the rules.

LunaT, I think all of those guys’ careers have been affected – not over, but definitely tarnished. I think Arnold’s will be the same way.

  11. Nanz says:

Holy crap. I predicted this John Edwards scenario to my sister when this story initially broke. I knew it was a matter of time before money and taxes became an issue. Powerful (and corrupt) people will spend your money before they spend their own. I know I sound like a cynical conspirorist. When it comes to money, sex, and politics, I can’t help but think of the worst in people. NEVER imagined it would happen with Edwards, and look how that turned out.

  12. Dizzybenny says:

those pictures look more like they were taken in Europe for an official visit(that would explain the suit) then in Idaho.I think those pics are probably old!
As for the story itself,it wouldnt surprise me one bit if it happended!

  13. originalgracie says:

@LunaT: Thank you for including all of that in your post. I will forever be incensed that Michael Vick plays football and makes millions of dollars and Chris Brown still has young girls in his fan clubs who think he is just “misunderstood”. It’s disgusting.

  14. Amandahugandkiss says:

Wow- Arnie and Boris Johnson in the same photo? That’s not something you expect to see every day!

I needed that laugh. Cheers! 😀

  15. Celebitchy says:

The photos are from March in London, I noted that in the story. I just linked over to the bike riding photo in Idaho.

  16. really says:

    Pork Roast anyone? PIG.

  17. Eve says:

Who am I kidding? He liked them big and brunette.

What? He likes anything with three holes.

P.S.: I know, I know…I vowed not to comment on this prick anymore. I’m still trying to do that though.

  18. LunaT says:

OriginalGracie—it is. So gross. Those assh!les aren’t sorry for anything they’ve done—they’re just sorry they were caught.

  19. Rebecca says:

Erm, that bike is in London. He is embracing the Major of London, Boris Johnson, in that photo, whose background looks nothing at all like Idaho.

  20. Jaxx says:

I always thought he was a big man but he’s just a stumpy little thing.

  21. Bill Hicks is God says:

I read the Gawker page. He isn’t immoral at all, heck no…because a person needs to be AWARE morals exist in the first place.

Arnie boy is an amoral, narcissistic, using, duplicitous sack of buzzard diarrhea. Sorry, I can’t shame regular poop like that and tie it to this degree of skeeve.

    His character is absolutely foul.

  22. Eve says:

    @ Bill Hicks is God:

Sorry, I can’t shame regular poop like that and tie it to this degree of skeeve.

I’m pretty sure diarrhea would also be offended by the comparison (if it could express itself).

  23. CeeCee says:

Bend over Arnie, it’s your turn now.

  24. ryansouth says:

Did anyone see the article about Arnold’s other children?

  25. Sweet blog! I found it while searching on Yahoo News. Do you have any suggestions on how to get indexed by Yahoo News? I’ve already been trying for a while but I never seem to make it happen! Many thanks

  26. Its such as you read my thoughts! You appear to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I feel that you simply can do with a few percent to power the message home a bit, however other than that, that is excellent blog. An excellent read. I will certainly be back.

I had the oporunity to participate in a 3 day course at Spring Mountain Ranch, in April, 2010. To any Corvetter driver-GO. It was the most fun I’ve ever had in any car. It will give you a new idea of the corvette’s abilities on the road and track.
