Cameron Diaz in a Phillip Lim jumpsuit: biscuit-grazing catastrophe?

wenn3377880

Here are some photos of Cameron Diaz and Jason Segal at last night’s MTV Movie Awards. Cameron wore what I’m guessing is the new summer trend – very short shorts in some kind of jumpsuit ensemble. I swear, I’ve seen several women in similar outfits all over the place lately. Camy’s jumpsuit is Phillip Lim, and her shoes are Lanvin. I don’t really care for the outfit, but meh. It’s appropriate for the venue, and if I say something about wanting Camy to cover up, everybody will jump up my ass. I just think… eh, we’ve seen it before. Camy always wears shorts and miniskirts that I think are too short. The bitch has great legs, and you can tell how athletic and toned she is, and that’s great. But I would love to see her “look” mature a bit. Also: the cut of this jumpsuit doesn’t really do much for her figure beyond her legs. It makes her look boxy and boyish.

But Camy and Jason are in “selling” mode, and I guess people are worried that dudes won’t go to see Bad Teacher. I think the movie looks good, and I wouldn’t mind seeing it, which I haven’t said about Cameron Diaz movie in a while. Camy needs a hit – and she needs to get back on the sisterhood’s side, which is perhaps why she and Alex Rodriguez are over? Who knows.

She needs to lose some of that stringy hair and dress like a grown woman. She’s almost 40 and she looks it. I’m not saying she isn’t attractive or that she needs to head to Talbtos, but the too cutesy/young clothing does nothing for her.

  2. tracking says:

I preferred her Spike TV look for sure, but this is a fun, sexy look for the MTV awards. To quote a friend, if I had a body like that I’d stand naked in the refrigerated section of my local grocery store!

  3. mia girl says:

Ewwwww. It doesnt even seem to fit her very well. It looks poorly constructed.

But I really like the shoes.

  4. Gwen says:

It’s a typical look for her. Boring IMO.

Has she done something to her face? She reminds me more and more of the Joker..

  5. embertine says:

Eh, I tried a purple strapless one of these on at the weekend for a laugh. To my mingled horror and delight, it looked awesome.

    I am voting pro-playsuit.

  6. Roma says:

At least her jumpsuit is fitting her. As a tall woman with a long torso I get a raging case of camel toe every time I attempt to wear one. And if I can actually stand in one, it all goes to hell when I sit down.

It is a trend I refuse (and just physically can’t) support.

  7. Hautie says:

    Outfit. One word. Tragic.

What I am more concerned about, is what has she done to her face.

I recently watched “My Best Friends Wedding”… and I swear she has a completely different face. She still looked somewhat feminine. Softer facial features.

Now she just looks old and manly.

And her constant need to wear clothes that are either… too short, too tight or too garnish in general appearance. Just makes her look desperate.

I like to see the girl from 10 years ago. With her original face.

The one who seemed to have alot of pride. And not desperately chasing after a man that did not want her.

  8. Mizz Tickles says:

What if she has to pee? In that outfit, unless there is a hidden zipper, going to the loo looks like it would be a production.

  9. Buffy Wilson says:

I think she looks great. I wish I was that boxy and boyish (and tall!), instead of the short and fat that I am.

  10. DGO says:

The bad thing about wearing black when you’re older and wearing illuminating make-up is that it emphasizes shadows and craters. The dark circles under her eyes look awful.

  11. saintdevil says:

She has amazing legs, but that jumpsuits makes her look so mannish and boxy.

    Fail!

  12. Quest says:

The outfit does not flatter Camy at all. She has a great frame and should play it up instead of this kinda fashion misses. Don’t like it for the occasion either.

  13. beth says:

phew, no more pressure to get breast implants… chipmunk cheeks aside, she looks perfect to me, and i have a feeling a lot of guys will think so too. i hope she NEVER resorts to it – she’s 38, if she wanted them bigger she would have done it a long time ago – so, she seems happy with this size. if alex dumped her because she made a stand against it, no matter how she might’ve wavered back n forth (ummm… ahhh… let me get back to you on that alex, my love, dawdle, dawdle) – then good for her –

oh, wait… you asked about that jumpsuit?

it’s nice, but to be honest, all i see is the fact she’s resisted his stupid suggestion (cough*emotional blackmail*cough) and i’m glad.

  14. CarinC4 says:

What’s happening to these celebrities??? They’re looking WAY TO OLD for their time!! Cameron Diaz was GORGEOUS when she was in The Mask movie with Jim Carey, what happened?

I think it’s the lack of flesh in her face….you know, that plumpness all over? My friend told me that Diaz makes her think of gristle…., i couldn’t give a good comeback… 🙁

  15. You don't say says:

She had to keep up with the “girls” at this show instead of dressing like an adult. This outfit is great if you are ten years old. She has no rear end, no chest but great legs though.

  16. TXCinderella says:

Body, good. Face, not so good. Stop with the lower eyeliner Cammie, it ages you.

  17. jlo1982 says:

GREATlegs but i think she looks rough and has for a while

  18. DanDan says:

I think she looks amazing. An inspiration for all tall women out there. 😉

  19. ursula says:

    @TXCinderella
You are completely right! I was trying put to figure out what it was that looked off about her..just bad color choices. Update your makeup pallette and you’ll be fine Cammy. Especially since Arod’s gone now.

  20. T. Redd says:

This ditz NEVER dresses with any class and she embarrasses herself. Ever hear of Age Appropriate? This dingbat still thinks she’s 20. Ick. Her stylist should be SHOT, let alone fired.

  21. Alexa says:

This is a home run as far as I’m concerned. This jumpsuit is chic and dressy because of its cut and fabric. (I also am glad to see something DIFFERENT.) She’s rocking it!

  22. fizixgirl314 says:

She looks desperate and her face looks dirty…

  23. iwannarock says:

ok. she did not receive the memo advising her own age. dress ur age camy. you have a gr8t body, but, dress ur age. and now, with ur face, wassup gurl???? as someone else said, u like like the joker. do something. while getting a-rods boob job, do something to ur face, while ur at it.

  24. guesty says:

    Just meh. Pretty boring actually.

  25. WickedSteppMom says:

My 6 y/o wants to know where she can get one. Only problem is, I don’t allow her to wear things that short/low-cut.

  26. the original bellaluna says:

Well, it looks like I’ll be sticking with my own sense of style this season. I’m not wearing a romper, I don’t care WHO designed it.

  27. Sassy says:

Bitch has amazing legs but onesies should be reserved for babies and toddlers. I like the shoes.

  28. beth says:

i don’t subscribe to the rule that one should dress their age – for the most part, i think one should dress the age one feels like, with due respect to the society they live in and conduct their business in, meaning if it isn’t offensive it should be fine. and if a woman can still carry it off, all the better. dressing is only a game, as far as i’m concerned, and the chance to express a side of oneself. as long as she behaves her age, that is, with thoughtfulness and consideration that belies her age, she should be able to wear what she pleases. these show off what incredible legs she has, and the silky material adds a more grown-up appeal to the ‘romper’ design. what i like best is the simplicity of it all.

  29. 4Real says:

I agree it’s time she start dressing like a woman and not a girl. A push up bra wouldn’t hurt either.

  30. ela é mesmo uma gata, sem defeito.

  31. Lantana says:

Eww. She’s lucky she’s cute. I have a time-tested rule: If I think something looks bad on someone who’s paid to look good, it’s going to look really, really bad on me. Usually I apply that theory to Victorias Secret’s catalog, but I think it’s safe to say I won’t be in a shorty-short jumpsuit anytime soon.

  32. velourazure says:

how does she have not one speck of cellulite on her legs? is she a man?

  33. skibunny says:

The woman is almost forty. Give her a break! She looks awesome. If you’ve got it flaunt it.

  34. susanne says:

Oldest woman to not have a boob job award!

    Trying too hard runner-up.

“Arod, I still have your buttpulg.”

  35. Kim says:

She has the worst, stringiest hair. She needs to get a good hair stylist.

  36. Danny says:

    Higher than a kite.

  37. Charlotte says:

    @Gwen: yes!

People go on and on about her legs being awesome or something, but I don’t see it. They’re not bad gams or anything, but they’re certainly not the best. Hell, mine are even better.

  38. Micki says:

I’m all for equal rights, LOL.
If Blake has a “crazy body” and is allowed to show it time and again why not Cameron? Hers is as good and for nearly 40 simply amazing.

  39. Leslie says:

She and that guy in the picture make a great couple. Just put bags over their butterfaces.

  40. Tiffany says:

This look cannot catch on with normal women who don’t have PERFECT legs. I refuse to wear anything that short unless I am on the beach.
Can you imagine this look on the average chick-shudder.

  41. MariPily says:

She looks terrific for a woman almost 40. Except for her stringy hair, I don’t see a thing wrong with her.

  42. Joey says:

If I had her legs I’d walk the red carpet in a thong. Just sayin.

  43. MG says:

Took a second look at the photos after reading the mostly critical comments and wonder if most of us saw her on the street would we think she is anything less than very attractive? Sure, she’s not as young as she was in There’s Something About Mary, but she looks great. I hope she’s happy.

  44. Andie B says:

I had a damn good laugh imagining myself wearing this..I’m the same age as Cameron except 5 feet 4 and with extremely pale skin. She carries the look off, but I think she should start dressing more her age. She could look really great, but appears to be holding on to a youthful look. It does seem a little try-hard.

  45. jemshoes says:

Cameron looks cute, but, yes, I’m with you Kasier on the length – it’s too short. If she sat down, everything would be exposed. :O

  46. Jag says:

The jumpsuits top is odd, but she looks good, body-wise. No idea what she’s done to her face.

Just recently watched Knight and Day, and I liked it. Her face was a little distracting, though, as was Tom’s; they both looked “thick” somehow. (Leathery?) Had the movie people shown different clips in the trailer, more people would’ve seen it because the movie was nothing like I thought it would be.

  47. raincoaster says:

At least it makes her package look good.

  48. april says:

    Horrible outfit.

  49. Camille says:

“It makes her look boxy and boyish.”

Thats because that is what her figure is like!
Apart from her legs, CD’s body isn’t that great (same can be said for Aniston).
But yes, that outfit does NOTHING for her and just shows off her straight up and down body.

Also, Camerons face is busted! She is not ageing well. Too much sun will do that to you.
