Tracy Morgan went on a grossly offensive homophobic rant (update)

wenn3289592

CB sent me this story earlier this morning, and all I did was skim it and think to myself, “That doesn’t sound right.” I happily went along, not realizing what a gigantic mess this was. Now it’s a Thing. A Thing that can’t be ignored. Tracy Morgan, formerly of SNL and currently starring in 30 Rock, was performing standup in Nashville, Tennessee when he seemed to stop the comedy to go an obscenity-laced rant against all gay people, forever, everywhere. This isn’t “Oh, I know what he meant to say” or “Meh, standard-issue bigotry.” This is full-on WTF hate-speech.

The scandal erupted when a man named Kevin Rogers, an activist who has worked on the Tennessee Equality Project, posted the following essay on his Facebook page. He titles it “Why I No Longer ‘Like’ Tracy Morgan — A Must Read”. I am only editing it for language:

I have very thick skin when it comes to humor; I can dish and I can take. What I can’t take is when Mr. Morgan took it upon himself to mention about how he feels all this gay sh-t was crazy and that women are a gift from God and that “Born this Way” is bullsh-t, gay is a choice, and the reason he knows this is exactly because “God don’t make no mistakes” (referring to God not making someone gay cause that would be a mistake). He said that there is no way a woman could love and have sexual desire for another woman, that’s just a woman pretending because she hates a f–king man. He took time to visit the bullsh-t of this bullying stuff and informed us that the gays needed to quit being p-ssies and not be whining about something as insignificant as bullying.

He mentioned that gay was something kids learn from the media and programming, and that bullied kids should just bust some ass and beat those other little f–kers that bully them, not whine about it. He said if his son that was gay he better come home and talk to him like a man and not [he mimicked a gay, high pitched voice] or he would pull out a knife and stab that little N (one word I refuse to use) to death. He mentioned that Barack Obama needed to man up and quit being all down with this just because he has a wife and two daughters. All of this being followed by thunderous cheer and ‘You go Tracys’. Tracy then said he didn’t f–king care if he pissed off some gays, because if they can take a f–king d–k up their a**… they can take a f–king joke.”

[From Facebook via Dlisted]

I looked up old Tracy Morgan stories, and I discovered that calling homosexuality “a choice” was part of Tracy’s act as far back as 2009. So… it wasn’t just an off night or something, I guess. This is how he really feels. It’s pretty disgusting, especially considering that Tracy is able to speak with such heartbreaking compassion about other subjects.

Anyway, it’s a Thing now. The Advocate and the hate-speech watchdog group Truth Wins Out are putting Tracy on notice. Truth Wins Out’s spokesperson says, “No comment is not acceptable. If someone had accused me of making such remarks in a presentation, I would drop everything I was doing to clarify it. To try and sweep it under a carpet and pretend it doesn’t exist is offensive in itself.” The Nashville venue where Tracy performed is also distancing itself, with a spokesperson saying “The Ryman Auditorium regrets that people were offended by statements made by Tracy Morgan during his June 3 appearance. The Ryman does not control the content presented by people appearing on its stage, nor does it endorse any of the views of, or statements made by such persons.”

UPDATE: Morgan gave an exclusive statement to Gossip Cop: “I want to apologize to my fans and the gay & lesbian community for my choice of words at my recent stand-up act in Nashville. I’m not a hateful person and don’t condone any kind of violence against others. While I am an equal opportunity jokester, and my friends know what is in my heart, even in a comedy club this clearly went too far and was not funny in any context.”

  1. Ashley Temple says:

    absolutely DISGUSTING

  2. Isabel says:

Dammit. I really liked Tracy, too. I hope that he can evolve from this mess. It’s so hard to believe that someone can actually be so inherently hateful.

  3. Jason says:

I can see it now… he’ll take the Isaiah Washington route to smooth this over:

“I need to seek treatment to transform my negative actions into positive results…”

Tracy Morgan is a DISGUSTING human being. The statement alone about what he’d do if his song was gay is enough for me to despise him forever.

  4. lucy2 says:

Ugh, what an idiot. He’s great on 30 Rock, but apparently a close minded jerk in real life.

  5. Eve says:

Didn’t he say a while back he thought the “ass was a delicacy”? Does he realize he has something in common with gay men (that like giving it to another men)?

  6. Marianne says:

Not only are the homophobic comments disgusting, but it’s also pretty disgusting that he thinks the answer to bullying is beat up your bullies. Violence is not the answer. Violence will not solve your problems.

Wouldn’t you think as a black man where he probably has encountered racist comments know how much that can hurt a person? If you don’t believe homosexuality is ok, then fine. Your opinion, but don’t hurt people with your comments. As we all learn in elementary school, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all”.

  7. yepp says:

I have never been a Tracey Morgan fan, but my wife like him and supports him ( yes, she still watches BET to this day.. I make fun of her for it) but as active members of our lesbian community I doubt that she will continue to support him, he does not have to support us to to spread such hate. this just breaks my heart. I hope this finishes him like it did Isaiah Wahignton!

  8. Brittany says:

I wish he had different views, but he has his right to free speech…

Although sometimes I feel like freedom of speech can be a little TOO free (Westboro people, etc.)

  9. Kloops says:

I think he’s crazy. Literally. So it’s hard to take anything he says seriously but I hope he gets slammed for his atrocious remarks.

  10. Masque says:

Oh wow! I had assumed he was gay. Guess I was wrong.

  11. Marianne says:

@Palmer Woodrow : Sorry but saying that he would shoot his son if he was gay is not a joke. It’s sick.

  12. Dizzybenny says:

@Masque- Oh no he is,he’s just fighting it thats all 😉
I never liked the guy never will.
He wasent really funny on SNL is stand up is to Richard Pryor amp up in insults.
It’s not a shock to read this at all!

  13. MARKYMARK says:

I’m a Gay Afican-American & I have been going to Stand up Comedian Concerts like this for quite a while (All the way back to Eddie Murphy)
Black comics seem to go for the gay jokes–it seems to be an easy target for them & their audiences respond disgustingly well to it. After I came “OUT” I stopped supporting these type of concerts, but my fellow African-Americans will continue to support this. What worsens this is that the Black comics now are slipping violent rhetoric like Tracy did in his act & people are still eating this up. Its very disturbing & not matter how much he apologizes (its coming)….Believe me–He meant every word he said, because this type of “BULLYING” is acceptable in the African american community. especially among men

  14. Jason says:

@Palmer Woodrow : Are you SERIOUS?!

Comedy… even offensive comedy (like Lisa Lampaneli) is one thing, but what he did was COMPLETELY different, inexcusable and extremely saddening.

  15. CallieTrichid says:

    @Palmer, you keep trollin’.

In any case, how mortified do you think Tina Fey is right now? Were I her, I’d be forcing him by the scruff to apologize.

I kind of wonder if any of the people on 30 Rock have a morality clause in their contract.

  16. Marianne says:

@Palmer Woodrow : Oh I’m sorry, it was “stab his son”. Like that’s any better.

And whether or not he’s a comedian. His jokes….not so funny. Still offensive. I’m not saying that every comedian has to go down the “knock knock” route. But sometimes people can go to far.

Did you think it’s funny when Michael Richards pointed at black people in the audience during his comedy show and went “Ooooh it’s a n*****!”.

  17. Boo says:

I’m not easily offended, but I’ve heard Tracey on Howard Stern, and he –Tracy–is really a pig. These comments don’t really surprise me coming from him. He’s vile.

  18. Jason says:

It’s not even worth engaging “Palmer” anymore… let’s just leave this pathetic person alone now.

  19. Lizzy says:

    Simply NOT ACCEPTABLE!

Like stabbing your own son because he is gay? And literally calling bullied kids wussies because they supposedly don’t fight back?

I guess we know now that Morgan will vote Republican in 2012.

I mean it’s 2010 but I feel like it’s 1962 again. I’ll go grab a glass of whisky with Don Draper and bash the Russians.

  20. vic says:

He’s always been offensive and disgusting. Not surprising at all.

  21. rabbithole says:

As unpopular as this opinion will be I kind of agree with Palmer on this one. I mean, none of us even got to hear any of those “jokes” in context. The context may not change your pov on the subject matter but I strongly believe it would have come across less as an angry rant and more as a comedian making jokes you don’t think are funny in the least.

  22. Cheyenne says:

Marianne: Wouldn’t you think as a black man where he probably has encountered racist comments know how much that can hurt a person?
    =============================================

Unfortunately not. As a black person I can tell you straight up that homophobia is absolutely endemic in the black community. You should hear some black Baptist preachers on Sunday morning ranting in the pulpit about AIDS being God’s punishment on gay people; you’d think we were still living in the 1980’s. Some blacks defend homophobia by saying “you can’t help being black but you can help being gay” — as if there was anything wrong with being either.

  23. Hollowdoll says:

What a douche bag. I’m really disappointed. I like 30 Rock. Now when I see him all I will think about is want a narrow minded, sad, pathetic man he is.

  24. tapioca says:

@Palmer Woodrow: “It’s part of a comedy act.”

And which particular one of his statements was funny? Apparently the audience cheered, but they weren’t exactly splitting their sides, which is kinda the whole point of stand up!

In the UK we had a show called BrassEye which was VERY near-the-knuckle – sample topic: Paedophilia & (especially) the media outcry about it – but it was always genuinely FUNNY. If I’d paid to see Tracy Morgan do a “comedy” show and he just spouted this BS simply to get a reaction instead of actually making me laugh, then I’d be asking for my money back.

@Cheyenne: “You should hear some black Baptist preachers on Sunday morning ranting in the pulpit about AIDS being God’s punishment on gay people.”

Interestingly, Tracy Morgan’s father died of AIDS. Which may explain A LOT.

  25. toto says:

he doese not like gays so what many are like him ..or stight people have to shut up?

i myself do not beleive that gays born this way .

  26. Praise St. Angie! says:

palmer, hurting someone’s feelings is a bit different than agreeing with the idea that it’s OK to beat up (or commit other violence against) gay people.

I love raunchy comics, but hateful is a different story.

so, on topic, I don’t think that it’s a choice to be gay, I do believe it’s in the genes. I mean, do straight people CHOOSE to be straight? no, we just ARE.

but put that aside for a moment. even if it IS a choice, who is he (or anybody else) to decide that that choice is WRONG? I choose to eat meat, but others don’t. am I wrong to eat meat? or is the other person wrong for NOT eating meat? no, both are choices that work for the individual.

if someone “chooses” to be attracted to the same sex, that’s a “choice” that works for them. nobody says that someone’s wrong for “choosing” to be attracted to blonds, redheads, skinny people, fat people, etc. it’s what is attractive to the individual.

and dizzybenny, you bring up a good point. (about morgan fighting it)

I firmly believe that the most outspoken homophobes, the most hateful ones, are usually hiding in the back of the closet.

    hello, Larry Craig.

  27. Jason says:

    @rabbithole:

I’ve had the unfortunate pleasure of seeing Tracy do his “comedy” live a few years ago and this isn’t the first time he’s made VERY bigoted comments about gay & lesbians. (Don’t even get me started on how he truly believes that being gay is a choice.)

It’s one thing to make jokes about race, sexual orientation, weight, etc…. but what he did was just disgusting and comes from a place of ignorance.

    Lisa Lampaneli for example:

There’s a HUGE difference in what Tracy said as opposed to what Lisa says in her routines. Yes, Lisa really is the “Queen of Mean” and she can get VERY offensive when it comes to the gay community, but her offensive humor doesn’t come from bigotry, hate or ignorance.

  28. Mr. Greek says:

What an ignoramus…what a maroon! Me thinks this guy is a closet case, as is the case with countless others who rant on and have the hate for gay men and women. On another note, I never have found this guy entertaining in the least.

  29. DenG says:

“he doese not like gays so what many are like him ..or stight people have to shut up?

i myself doese not beleive that gays born this way .”

    Say what? Spell what?

  30. kimm says:

Yes, everyone on CB is so pc, like they never said anything bad about anyone! Give me a break! I agree with #18…..

  31. original kate says:

    yikes. no idea what

  32. original kate says:

yikes. no idea what his problem is, but…yikes.

  33. Whatever says:

i myself doese not beleive that gays born this way
    ————–

Well, you are wrong and science supports the fact that people are born gay. Of course, it is irrelevant and that kind of hateful speech is not acceptable at all. Free speech only extends so far and he deserves what he gets for his hate. Saying he’d kill his child for being gay is absolutely disgusting in light of how much gay teens suffer. What if a white comedian said he’d kill his white daughter for marrying Tracy’s son? Some would argue that would be free speech, but discrimination is wrong in ALL forms. I’m done with him. This wins the prize for worst rant ever. So filled with hate and ignorance. Nothing like wearing stupidity like a badge!

  34. aenflex says:

Being gay is about as much of a choice as being black. What a piece of shit.

And to all you homophobes – Fuck Off!

  35. seal team 6 says:

It will be interesting to see what Tina Fey’s comment will be on this, since she is his boss on “30 Rock.” Michael Richards ruined his career for a rant not any worse and maybe not as bad, but homophobia is more acceptable in this country than racism.

  36. seal team 6 says:

@Brittany — No, he doesn’t have an absolute right to “free speech;” Government is not allowed to curtail his freedom of speech (in most cases),but he is a product, and his employers have a right to fire him, and venues have a right to ban him. “Freedom of Speech” is not absolute, as evidenced by much case law. I hope his career is ruined over this rant just as Michael Richards’ was.

  37. posh-toes says:

Why does everyone have to be in love with gay people? Get over it people. There is such thing as freedom of speech.

  38. seal team 6 says:

    @Palmer

being “edgy” and snarky is one thing, and hate speech is another. If you honestly believe what you say, please contact your nearest PFLAG chapter for some educational materials, or check out the pflag.org website. If you don’t want to be educated on homophobic hate speech, and think it’s okay, then shame on you.

  39. anoneemouse says:

What can you expect from an ignorant alcoholic junkie?

  40. Blue says:

I don’t like him. He’s not funny at all & I hate the way he talks. But I think he may not be all there.

  41. seal team 6 says:

    @toto

Please educated yourself. The pflag website has loads of educational material. It is nothing but purposeful ignorance for anyone to believe in 2011 that being gay is “a choice.” It is actually rather evil to think this, imo.

  42. seal team 6 says:

I think some posters also need to educate themselves on what “freedom of speech” means, and the case law about the limits of one’s speech.

  43. toto says:

@whatever … scientific means genetics , please enlight me what gene causes this ?

  44. Obvious says:

that apology i bull. he is officially near chris brown and mel gibson on the OWL (Obvious Wrath List)

  45. seal team 6 says:

    @toto

As I said, educate yourself. You should honestly be very embarrassed to be spouting such ignorance in 2011. Do you also believe Black people are less intelligent than Whites? Or that Jews are subhuman vermin?

“scientific means genetics , please enlight me what gene causes this ?”

Oh my. I suspect they may have taught nothing but Earth Science at the school you went to.

  46. seal team 6 says:

    @Obvious

    Yes, the infamous non-apology apology.

  47. toto says:

i am educated enough to know majore studies are not yet decided if it was hermonal or brain orentations or child abuse , till today they did not identfy any genteic chromosom with gayism ..

now enlight me ..and stop riding the high horse ..bcaz not believing does not mean i hate you .

its my level of thinking and many others too .. you have to stand living with ..or simply ignore
some people acept gays some don’t ..live with it

  48. Mr. Greek says:

And now this dipshit has publicly “apologized” to the gay and lesbian community…PUHlease! Horse is out of the barn, dude!

  49. carrie says:

we choose to be gay as he chose to be black and i hope the best for his kids

  50. Mia135 says:

Tracy Morgan is a hateful, homophobic pig and I truly hope this ends his career.

As for the commenters supporting Lisa Lampaneli and saying that her comedy is acceptable, because it is not coming from hate – I completely beg to differ. Lisa Lampaneli is a racist pig who needs to be called out just like Tracy Morgan. Many comics do race jokes well – this woman is NOT one of them.

Her comedy routines include telling black women that they should have lots of abortions ‘cos it will help keep crime rate low, and she has also mocked black children – saying that they can borrow one of her black men because black kids never have a father.
That is absolutely racist, hateful shit and if you condemn Morgan but support Lampanelli then that makes you a hypocrite. When a black woman called out Lampanelli on Twitter recently over her “racial humour”, she got even more nasty, racist and very, very personal and then deleted her Tweets.

Morgan, like Lampanelli, is the worst kind. To joke about – of all things -bullying, killing your own son and homosexuality is HATE SPEECH plain and simple. There is no ‘context’ in which this could ever be acceptable. I really hope he suffers the consequences for this one.

  51. Trillion says:

Is this comedy or simply breaking off and ranting while you have a captive audience in front of you at your comedy show? Seems like the latter.
Was he in character when he went off, like he was making fun of people who actually talk like this? If so, than yes, that’s comedy. If not, it’s just showing your hate because I dunno, you’re actually a closeted homosexual? Why else would a person spend so much energy on it?

  52. Mr. Greek says:

Mia135, VERY well said; you took the written words right out of my…er…typing fingers!

  53. toto says:

Do you also believe Black people are less intelligent than Whites? Or that Jews are subhuman vermin?

i realy laugh when ppl play mix the cards thing ..

to your information ,,, we all have genetics prints ..i do believe jews and black and white asian and all are human but they differ in some racial genetics ..now if you wanna play mixing card again ..play it right

  54. Rose says:

Toto, you’re about as educated as a rock.

  55. toto says:

bottom line if gaysim proved through genetics i would come and say i do believe they born this way or evolve this way ..scientifically

  56. seal team 6 says:

Well, yes, toto… being homophobic means you DO hate gay people, unless you are truly an uneducated person, which you claim you aren’t. And, what “high horse” is that? Believing in equal civil rights for all Americans?

I am very glad Dr. king didn’t listen to people who told him some people are just racist, so just get over it and accept it. Not believing Blacks were equal doesn’t mean they hated them. Thank God Dr. King knew what BS THAT was!

I am not engaging anymore with the “out and proud” ‘phobes on this thread.

    Your concern is noted, Toto.

  57. toto says:

its ok with me rose i am not offended you are entitled to your openion

  58. Rose says:

There’s no such thing as ‘gayism’, there is however such a thing as being a fool, which Toto you are.

  59. Alice says:

You know, there are some things “I’m sorry” won’t put a bandaid on. This is one of those things.

  60. rabbithole says:

If Tracy Morgan really meant what he said then I feel sorry for him that he lives with such hate in his heart, he would have to be angry a lot of the time in this world.
However, I cannot believe some of the commenters on here! Wishing his career to be over and having such hateful words for him, do you really think you’ve never hurt an individual or group by what you’ve said or done? Have you really never made a bigoted comment before? Would you really like to be judged for every word you’ve ever said and have people call you a dirty pig for it? Also, Jason and Mia135 just proved that sometimes comedy is a matter of opinion that can range from funny to bigoted.

  61. Mr. Greek says:

Me think it’s time to insert some positive energy here…happy Friday, y’all! Crank the volume up and bump and grind your way to a happy weekend!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWrSVsqHUAw

  62. toto says:

rose i always learned poeple who call other names in normal discussion ,,are the weak one and thx

  63. seal team 6 says:

Well, no, I have never hurt a person with a bigoted comment in my entire life. And, I have NEVER engaged in hate speech, against any group. There are many of us who were raised not to hold prejudice against people, and we have held onto that lesson into adulthood.

If someone said something like this at their job, they would rightfully be shown the door that day, unless the company was just begging for a massive lawsuit which they would lose. Mr. Morgan was at his job when he said this.

  64. Madisyn says:

I know I’m going to get reamed but this is just my opinion, so bear with me, please.

First things first, let me say I abhore his comments and do NOT approve or think they are funny in anyway.

The problem I have with these types of groups and I mean ALL groups that advocate for a group in particular is, when these types of groups DEMAND an apology, they’re only get an apology from the individual making them to save face. In no way do I think that Morgan is sorry in anyway, shape, or form. I believe these are his PR people forcing him and he does not mean them at all.

And thats the shame of it.

  65. Rose says:

I doubt you ever ‘learned’ anything a day in your life.

  66. Derpy says:

@toto: You have a right to not accept them, however you do not have a right to get on your high horse and deny them civil liberties that are afforded to straight people, nor does anyone have that right, or the right to condone or inflict violence upon them.

What Tracy says does not fall under free speech in the way many of you defending him think it does. No one has a place defending it as free speech so he can say it, more like, it’s his opinion so he can spout it, as the government is not stepping in to silence him, none of his rights have been violated whatsoever, nor does he need protection under any free speech law.

  67. neelyo says:

    @ #47, toto?
you claim to be educated, yet you cannot spell or put together a coherent sentence. Whatever argument you have is negated by your ignorance.

And Morgan may as well have used, ‘I’m sorry you feel that way’ as his apology. Pathetic.

  68. Leigh says:

    @toto
Research has observed hormonal and neurological points of difference.
Like most characteristics, research points to polygenic (more than one gene) being involved.

When you consider that gene activation is modified by environment, heredity, hormones and neurotransmitter levels, making the comment “please enlight me what gene causes this” is simplistic, incorrect and a baseless argument.

  69. seal team 6 says:

    @Madisyn

I personally don’t think the LGBT wanted an “apology” from him, because they know it wouldn’t be an apology. He just got caught.

    @Derpy

    VERY well said, my friend!

  70. Jess says:

lol Mr. Greek thank you for that

  71. rabbithole says:

    lol @Seal Team 6
You were actually the main person I was talking about when I asked if you really think you’ve never said anything bigoted before since you come off as extremely self righteous so it’s funny that you replyed to that comment. It’s also cute/sad that you read that rhetorical question and answered it, you must have a good time with your head in the clouds because that is one high horse you are on 😉

  72. Mia135 says:

His apology is ridiculous and obviously written by his PR people. If he wasn’t “a hateful person”, then he would not have said those things in the first place. His rant had nothing to do with comedy at all.
He needs to be made to understand that hate speech has consequences and should lose his job.

  73. Audrey says:

I don’t like what he said, and honestly, I thought he was the answer to a couple of BIs about a black comedian that’s in the closet. Anyway, he AND Michael Richards had the right to say what they said and we have the right not to support them anymore.

Edit: To all those that talk about his right to freedom of speech “on the job”, he was under contract for that performance. It’s all about what his contract says. Again, NBC, Fey, Comcast, whoever distributes his material, or hired him, have the right to fire him. He has freedoms and he also has to live with the ramifications of his behavior and speech.

  74. katiemarie says:

I’m so disappointed in him. I think he’s really talented on 30 Rock but what he said was so violent and horrific. I hope that deep down he doesn’t feel that way, and it’s more of a situation where comedic exaggeration was taken way, way too far.

@Derpy I think what he said was so offensive and terrible, however he DOES have a right to say it under free speech, despite its hateful intent.

  75. Rita says:

    @Madisyn

Did you think about your choice of words in saying, “I know I’m going to get reamed”? The subconscience is a tricky thing.

  76. Eileen says:

@toto first let me be clear, I am not gay, but over half of the women in my family are-my grandma was, her daughter my aunt is, and one of her daughters-my cousin is. My uncle’s daughter is also gay…all from the same side of the family. ALL were raised by my grandmother because my grandfather died young of skin cancer. Every single one of them knew they were gay once it was clear that there was a difference between boys and girls and to this day my aunt isn’t 100% comfortable with discussing or even saying she’s gay.
How do people “choose” to live a way of life that is so frowned upon by so many and who are denied rights everyone else has? My cousin and her life partner both have to work full time and can’t stay at home with their baby because one can’t insure the other. You don’t choose to be gay, just like you can’t choose your eye color or how tall you will be.

  77. Praise St. Angie! says:

    golf clap for Audrey.

I am SO TIRED of hearing people cry “but but but…freedom of speech!”

they ABSOLUTELY have the right to say it, and we have the right to react to it, and not support their work any longer.

with freedom to say what you want also comes consequences of what you say.

EDIT: oh, and clap for Eileen, too! I often ask that…who would choose to be part of a group that is in fear of being beaten up or killed for who they love? who would choose to be part of a group that is denied basic civil rights?

  78. Ally says:

I think Tracy Morgan has earned plenty of money already with very little talent to show for it, so I’m not going to feel sorry for him if this forces his firing from 30 Rock.

It’s a shame that his equally offensive rants about women have been ignored/tolerated. Even today, on CNN, when the writer of the Facebook article started to speak about the material about women that he found offensive in Morgan’s show, the (female) CNN anchor interrupted him. (Hey, who cares about degrading comments about women! No biggie!)

Kudos to gay activists and others for coming down on this heinousness. Killing your own child for acting fey is beyond the pale, it is not a joke, when gay children already leave in a climate of harassment, fear and suicidal thoughts.

However, if women complained about equally offensive material, they’d just be seen as humorless biatches. Women are the only group who are supposed to shrug off their rights to dignity and respect for the sake of keeping the party going.

  79. Solveig says:

Utterly disgusting, and what disgusts me more is that he felt the need to apologize. According to some posters above it’s not the first time he rants against gay people, thus his apology sounds so hypocritical I’d prefer he just shut up with those fake excuses and go on with his hateful speech for the sake, at least, of coherence.

  80. seal team 6 says:

Retweet today by Mo Rocca: “If I had a son as stupid as Tracy Morgan, I’d still love him.”

  81. Thea says:

I think he needs to stfu. Everyone has the right to live their lives. What I am curious about is, isnt he gay? I have always thought the people who protest the most and are always making remarks are trying to distract from their own sexuality. And he should know better as a black man about being discriminated against.

  82. seal team 6 says:

    @rabbithole

Interesting that being against hate speech equals “self righteous” to you.

And, because of what I do, my head is very firmly NOT in the clouds, but very much on the ground. People who work with the disadvantaged and live in the real world know what hatred and bigotry does to people and a nation. It destroys them. If fighting that is being on a “high horse,” then I am proud to saddle up.

  83. The Bobster says:

30 Rock might be watchable without the presence of Tracy Moron. He always plays himself: a full-blown idiot.

BTW, despite some of the comments posted here, the best way to take care of a bully is to kick his ass right in front of his toadies.

  85. Rita says:

    @Eileen

Hi doll. You know I love you so don’t take this as a scolding. Just another perspective as I agree with what you have said.

Human sexuality runs the spectrum from absolutly gay to absolutly straight and everything in between. Look at Meridth Baxter Berny (?). Lived a straight life for so many years with thoughts and tendencies about lesbianism. As children explore their sexuality, thoughts of homosexuality may be temporary, “I kissed a girl and I liked it” so to speak.

People may have tendencies and then have a “choice” as to whether or no to explore those tendencies. Some explore and the impression never leaves. I remember Hugh Hefner said he had a gay experience and quickly added that it wasn’t for him. It seemed to bother him for years.

Generalizations about homosexuality is as helpful as generalizations about any group. Homosexuals are individuals and should be considered not by who they have sex with but by the content of their character. If you are the posterity of a family lesbian influence, then I say the world is better off for it. Be well today.

    _____________________

Seriously toto? I had a longer answer in mind, but seeing the other comments, I can see that you are bigoted against “gayism”, so why bother? By science I mean genetics as well as psychology. It was once believed you could ‘cure’ gay people with psychology and some still think you can pray the gay away, but that is just ignorance and bigotry not a drop of science and no real research that shows it works. All shoving people back in the closet does is cause heartbreak years later when they leave their spouses and children, or God forbid commit suicide, all because they can no longer deny how they were BORN and have been told a bunch of lies about how they are evil/damned or whatever. Let go of the hate. Ignorant, outdated beliefs can no longer be used to justify hate and discrimination.

  88. Rachael says:

Damn this is disappointing. I have always loved Tracy Morgan until now. I hope he takes some time to seriously re-think his opinion on this and educate himself now that he’s being publicly called out for it. He needs to check himself.

    Also this:

MARKYMARK: “Black comics seem to go for the gay jokes–it seems to be an easy target for them & their audiences respond disgustingly well to it.”

    Damn that also sucks.

  89. Elizabeth says:

  92. Eileen says:

@Rita- ITA with your summation as well. People dabble in many things out of curiosity and having an open mind. Shoot with so many gay women in my family, I’ve kissed a girl or two wondering what the fuss is about. I also think people can be born bi-sexual as well, there is definitely no black or white of being gay or not gay.
But gay men and women knew where their attractions lay the minute they were playing doctor in the school yard-and they even go back and forth at times wanting to be just a normal kid.
Honestly, I think men and women are all the same except for the plumbing so seeing two men or two women being denied basic rights for wanting to be with same sex is like making them sit in the back of the bus or drink from a different water fountain. Its flat out insulting.

  93. Brittany says:

    Ally has a point.

I am all for gay rights and involved in a LGBT & ally group

But I think it would be nice if groups these days focused on eliminating hatred in all forms, not just their own agenda.

  94. spinner says:

Morgan has been running this game for quite awhile now. How has he gotten a pass this long?? I think we all know. That being said…I am all for freedom of speech but that right is being stripped away from us. Like wants to be with like. Just look at nature. If Tracy hates gays so much, he should just stay away from them & keep his mouth shut. Finally…I have a hard time with all the self-righteous & judgmental people saying they KNOW what makes gay people tick & where that urge comes from. Personally…I don’t know but they are our fellow humans & I hardly think it is proper to deny them rights or degrade them to this extent.

  98. Ron says:

Not only can i take a dick up my ass, I can take a joke. I can take many many jokes. I have a really base sense of humor at times and can dish it and take it with no problem at all. The problem comes when you leave the realm of humor and start to state your own bigoted opinions. There is a difference when in a rant, or burst of anger, you let your deep seeded nasty side come out. It’s funny when an uneducated person rants about something they know nothing about. You can ask my mother or my sister the psychiatrist, I sashayed out of the womb gay. I was the kid you played in the sandbox with a spoon so I wouldn’t get my hands dirty. I have been attracted to men as long as I can remember. However, due to everything around me in the midwest and my father trying to beat it out of me, I tried very very hard not to be gay. But it was always there regardless of how hard I tried. Then finally, at 25, I decided I could no longer live a lie and came out. It was the absolute best decision I have ever made. I live in LA now and have for years, I have a partner of 10 years, and everything for the most part is cool. It’s Pride weekend here this week, and it’s comments like Tracy’s and some of them on the board here that make you realize there is still alot of work to be done, adn you NEED to show your face at Pride. I owe a great debt of gratitude to the men and women who came out before I did, and I am happy that my being out has made it easier for kids today, and can only hope that with episodes like this one, there is education.

  99. rabbithole says:

Actually, I just have don’t throw around the term “hate speech” because I think it’s a very strong accusation that really needs to come from a place of hate. Something I’ve learned from being on the committee against hate and racism in my city is that when you jump on every negative/bigoted/ignorant thing people say you make them feel like they can’t say anything around you or that they have to be super pc about everything when really you just want to educate them because most people don’t mean to come off that way or mean to hurt others, they just aren’t aware of the effects of their words and actions and they aren’t aware how ignorant they sound.
Also, @ Racheal you win the internet for your non judgmental comment on a gossip site

  100. originalgracie says:

My personal opinion is that people who don’t understand that certainly people can be born gay: I think you’re ignorant.

People who get their ideas about sexual orientation and whether it’s good or bad from a book like the bible: You are ignorant.

With the advent of the Internet and search engines like Google, there is no reason for anyone to be ignorant. All the info is out there for anyone who cares to look.

Or hey, ask a gay person! They will be happy to share their thoughts with you and straighten your ignorance out.

But more than that, why in the world would anyone want to hurt others by being narrow minded and/or cruel and hateful? Being willfully ignorant is a stupid way to live.

  101. Amanda G says:

WHAT?! A comedian was OFFENSIVE!?! Stop the presses!

On a serious note, I hate when people fake an apology…especially if it’s something they’ve done/said many times before. I’ve never really liked Tracy anyway, so if 30 Rock canned him I think it would actually improve the show.

@Praise St. Angie! – “I firmly believe that the most outspoken homophobes, the most hateful ones, are usually hiding in the back of the closet.” I couldn’t agree more!

  102. originalgracie says:

@Ally: RIGHT ON!!! That is often overlooked!! We are just supposed to sit by, being all pretty and cute while the boys talk. F that.

Tracy Morgan can’t hide his real asshole feelings anymore. It’s all out there.

  103. seal team 6 says:

Some folks in this thread are confusing behavior and orientation, which is not the same thing.

And, many women come out to themselves later in life. Societal and family pressures force many people into a closet not of their own making.

  104. seal team 6 says:

    @originalgracie

  105. Dizzybenny says:

Unfortunatly a lot of people will forget it by this fall when the new season start.
Micheal Richards case we had a video to not only hear but saw what he did.
Unless a video pops up somewhere it will be pushed aside in the next few weeks.

  106. Madisyn says:

@ Rita, if I meant anything by “reamed” I would have typed “pun intended”. I try to be clever on the Blohan posts with things such as “High”. Not so in this case, as I thought this was a serious article. I wasn’t thinking, sorry if I offended.

@ Seal Team 6. Over at TMZ, an article said The Human Rights Campaign said “If these allegations are true, Tracy Morgan must immediately accept responsibility and apologize.” Of course, TMZ in the title said “Gay Rights Group to Morgan–We Demand an Apology”. Thats all I’m sayin. . .

  107. originalgracie says:

@seal team 6: Thank you! You are pretty awesome yourself!

  108. Rita says:

    @originalgracie

To expound on your point of “Born This Way”. I spent several months working with my husband on a remote Indonesian island (yes, last of the headhunters remote) and living with a primative tribe. One of the tribe members was obviously gay and when I asked the translator about him he said this,

“He was born with a woman’s spirit. He lives on the edge of the village and keeps to himself”

He was an oddity to the rest of the tribe but totally accepted. This was a place with no electricity, treated water, or sewage facilities. He was Born This Way. It was a difficult time in a difficult place but an experience not to be forgotten…..a large male Orangutan stole a bunch of bannanas right out of my hand….he preferred ripe bannanas…scared the crap out of me….with three inch fangs six inches from ones face is not the time to ask about his sexual preferrence.

@Madisyn I know honey. I was just joking. Tuff to do on a serious thread. Luv ya.

  109. Leticia says:

@Lizzy, Tracy is a Democrat and a supporter of our current president.

  110. Liana says:

with freedom to say what you want also comes consequences of what you say.

    * * * *

cosign this comment by Praise St Angie. Tracy Morgan can say whatever he wants to say. He does have that right. And I have the right to think he’s a narrow minded loser who is one bullet shy of going ballistic in a very bad way.

  111. JoGirl310 says:

Whether or not homosexuality is genetic in origin, the evidence that it is biological as opposed to a conscious decision is overwhelming:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biology_and_sexual_orientation#Biological_differences_in_gay_men_and_lesbians

On topic – I’m really disappointed in Tracey Morgan. At first, I wondered whether he was mimicking the storyline of his 30 Rock character, who actively tried to earn his audience’s disrespect. Unfortunately, it sounds like this is nothing new for him. I guess I’m done with him and 30 Rock.

  112. Chris says:

Perhaps growing up with a name like Tracy has made him a little insecure about his own masculinity and sexuality.

  113. @Cecizahn says:

I really HATE when people in general say hurtful things and then try to pull a DIDN’T KNOW WHAT I WAS SAYING speach…You KNEW what you said and you said it becouse you meant it.

  114. seal team 6 says:

I know many, many LGBT folks do NOT think the HRC speaks for them. far from it!

  115. Kim says:

Seal team 6 – PLEASE tell me you are not likening civil rights to gay rights?? Dr K is turning in his grave!!!!

  116. originalgracie says:

@Rita: That is a facinating story. I love that they accepted his difference and they all just went on with life. THAT is how life should be.

Love the aside about the Orangutan! Yes, handing over the bananas was prudent! And it’s also so interesting because he very well could have been a gay animal. There are many, many instances of gay behavior in the animal kingdom.

  117. jc126 says:

I don’t pretend to know how he really feels. I do NOT like this type of humor, but I am also quite uncomfortable with some saying “he can’t/shouldn’t be allowed to say that”.
I just don’t find a lot of stand-up funny. Looking in the past, I never liked a lot of the routines of Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Andrew Dice Clay, Sam Kinison and probably other people I’m forgetting. I don’t recall anti-gay stuff, but more vulgar sexual stuff that was gross.

  118. Mairead says:

That’s pretty big talk from a short-arse going by the name of Tracy 🙄

I’m actually more disgusted by the PR press release masquerading as an apology. If you’re going to come out with that sort of BS, then bloody own it. Otherwise explain the context of what you said. Controversial comedians can get into trouble because audience and reviewers don’t get the point. But if you reckon the gays should be able to “take a joke” then don’t be a craven hypocrite desperate for showbiz cash which is fueled by the “Pink Pound” as we used to say.

@toto – “to your information ,,, we all have genetics prints ..i do believe jews and black and white asian and all are human but they differ in some racial genetics ..”
I’m going to assume that English isn’t your first language, otherwise I’m going to have to ask what the hell else could a person “believe” Jews, blacks and white asians could be other than human – coffee tables perhaps?

  119. the original bellaluna says:

I don’t care what you believe: IT IS NOT OKAY TO SPEAK ABOUT ANOTHER HUMAN BEING THAT WAY. PERIOD.

Hurtful speech does way more damage than an “ass whoopin”: physical damage MAY BE ABLE to heal; emotional and psychological damage MAY NEVER heal.

“Judge not lest ye be judged” and “Love thy neighbour as thyself” is something we touched on on another thread yesterday. It holds true.

@ Ron – Hearts to you! Well stated. Thank you.

  120. jayem says:

    @Rita – VERY well said.

I personally believe that being a homosexual is NOT genetic. Meaning, it is not in the DNA. They found a “fat gene”; they would have found a “gay gene” by now. However, I do not believe it is a choice either. It’s not like you choose it like you choose a college. It is intrinsic. (Which is why there are hormonal and personality traits found in common.)

The conclusion I have come to is that it is nothing other than personal preference. What you are attracted to and what turns you on. It is not the same as your race or features or any other genetic traits.

It’s like me saying I like tall men. I don’t think that’s genetic. I don’t think I “decided” to like a certain kind of man. I think it’s what I prefer. Nature, nurture, whatever. It’s what happens in the bedroom and it shouldn’t matter. But it is NOT the same as your skin color. It’s just not.

And for the record, although I disagree with him, I do think he has the right to his opinion. I also hope he’s prepared to deal with the consequences. But all you dissenters who think he is a vile person who should get fired should really consider how many people share that opinion in private. Trying to lambast someone who disagrees with you is no better than bashing someone over their sexual preference.

  121. Ur Favorite Bartender says:

    @Kim totally agreed!

I think all the hate on this thread is remarkable. So is Tracy Morgan’s “ignorance”(he’s entitled like the rest of humanity, to his own opinion, unfortunately lol)
However the day he’s calling for eradication of gays and urging them to be purged from the land is the day I will actually care. There are far worse atrocities happening in the world to give so much attention to Tracy. Need I mention all the cultural genocide taking place in Africa?? Homosexuals have already made leaps and bounds and things will only continue to get better (thank God for growing awareness for individuality and recognization of each person’s own truth!) As a civilization I think its nice to believe we have grown beyond hating people for their differences in lifestyle but ah, I don’t think everyone got the memo…so we should not be surprised or terribly offended by continuing non-acceptance. This isn’t some perfect world Utopia but hey, we can hope 😉
Tracy Morgan has my prayers and so do all the people on this post who respond to hatred with hatred and a “I’m right, your wrong” attitude, not to mention being @holes about grammar (cause obviously you understood the context so you just make yourself look dim by ripping people with a cheap shot because you feel offended and possibly lack a coherent thoughtful argument back)…

On sensitive topics such as this, intolerance benefits no one and it shows a lack of critical thinking. And caring.
Now wasn’t this the problem with Tracy Morgan’s diarrhea of the mouth?

  122. Madisyn says:

@ Rita, no worries, luv u back!

@ Seal Team 6, I’m sure you’re much more intuned with LGBT community than myself but I was merely quoting TMZ, my bad. Sorry if I offended.

  123. Lucy says:

It is so wonderful to read enlightened, accepting, loving comments expressed by almost all commenters on this thread. It truly gives me hope that someday people will only be judged by on their deeds and character and not on such small differences in the human race as race, sexual orientation, gender, etc.

of course then there are the totos of the world…obviously, its going to take a little more time…

  124. Seal Team 6 says:

@m — Not being snarky. Many folks don;t know that many people in the LGBT community, activists and “regular” people, don’t think very highly of the HRC, and also don’t like insincere “apologies” from homophobes.

    No probs.

  125. John Wayne Lives says:

Wow. I really hope he just got carried away with himself, and his appology is sincere.
    but wow.
I am so sick of bigotry in any form. It’s so ugly 🙁

  126. Seal Team 6 says:

For the record, Gay people have lives, not lifestyles, and I don’t see any hate in this thread except from homophobes. The term “lifestyle” is a buzzword for antigay organizations. I am not saying those who used it here are homophobic, I honestly am just trying to educate. A lifestyle is being outdoorsy, or preferring staying in with friends and a movie instead of being a clubber.

Civil rights are not gotten by sitting quietly in the back of a bus, or allowing police officers to charge into a business and beat up clientele.

I myself have been rather shocked by some of teh comments on this thread, but I guess I shouldn’t have been. Very depressing.

  127. Pete says:

    @Kim #115

Even if it were possible, Dr Martin Luther King would most definitley NOT be turning in his grave.
Coretta Scott King – his widow –
has gone on record more than once and said that MLK did consider equal rights for gay people as part of civil rights and the civil rights movement.

Don’t drag MLK into your ignorance.

  128. John Wayne Lives says:

and btw, who F@CKING cares WHY someone is gay!? They’re gay. SO WHAT!?
if you don’t like homosexuality, okay. FINE!
It doesn’t mean you have to be an A$$ about it!!
    What ever happened to RESPECT!?
Jesus, this gets under my skin.

  129. Pete says:

Seeing that you mentioned more important things like genocide in Africa.

  131. Madisyn says:

    @ Seal Team 6

I am a Californian and I voted for gay marriage, that being said, I don’t know about the HRC and again just referred to TMZ, sorry! And my original comment was about insincere apologies. A big ole “sorry”, how Morgan did NOT mean it, was my point.

  132. Saucin' says:

Brittany, I’d like to point out that his Constitutional right to free speech does not protect hate speech, or that which might incite others to hate crimes.

I’d say this was treading miiiiighty close to the line.

And I protest the notion of free speech as an excuse to flaunt blatantly oppressive and hurtful language and ideals.

  133. mike says:

    Why am I not surprised?

Given that I found 30 Rock to be grossly offensive and racist, Morgan’s coments are par for the course.

I find it rather ironic that many people who are attacking Morgan also claim to like that racist show 30 Rock.

  134. What’s upsetting is that this is not a “rant” – it’s an “act”. An act that he’s rehearsed and performed, allegedly since 2009. Surely he’s had a moderately warm crowd reaction to the bit if he’s still performing parts of it two years later?

People can be so ugly sometimes.

  135. skinanny says:

what an idiot he is. Uneducated, narrow minded and insulting. He is just lucky he isn’t flipping burgers somewhere.

  136. jc126 says:

Where in the Constitution is hate speech prohibited? Or defined, for that matter?
I don’t like hateful words, but the solution to idiotic expressions of free speech is not banning such speech. Speak against it, or ignore it, whichever, but it’s disturbing to contemplate restrictions on it. Inciting others to violence may be illegal, but it seems like I never see any prosecutions over it. It’s a fine line. I personally hate all the “Second Amendment solution” rhetoric, but don’t see a real solution.

  137. Hakura says:

Re: TMorgan Quote” I’m not a hateful person and don’t condone any kind of violence against others. While I am an equal opportunity jokester, and my friends know what is in my heart, even in a comedy club this clearly went too far and was not funny in any context.”

Typical PR-bullshit response to getting his ass handed to him by the public’s outrage. Notice he doesn’t actually take responsibility, saying he’s an “…equal opportunity joksester…” which really implies “I go after all sorts of people/races/lifestyles with my comedy, so the gay community (& it’s supporters) are too sensitive, & overreacted, it’s a misunderstanding.“. Like hell it was a joke.

He ‘doesn’t condone violence’? “He said if his son was gay he better come home and talk to him like a man and not [he mimicked a gay, high pitched voice] or he would pull out a knife and stab that little N—– to death.”

So if he had a son that gay, he’d better come tell him ‘like a man’, or else he’d stab him (his son) to death? This whole thing is just disgusting. What IS IT about stand-up that causes hate-tirades, lately? You’d think everyone would’ve learned from the Michael Richards (Kramer) fiasco.

I keep a ‘list’ of entertainers I’ll have absolutely nothing to do with, if they say or do something horrible. I will not support their work in any way, including having their songs, watching their shows or movies, or purchasing anything from them. (The list contains those such as Mel Gibson, Chris Brown, & Jesse James, just to name a few.) Seems to be getting longer every week, lately… Discouraging.

  138. Annie_Grey says:

Has Tracy ever thought before speaking and does he hold any clout in his opinions? The man is a grown 4 year old. He shouldn’t be getting this kind of attention. He thrives on it, anyway.

  139. GQ says:

This guy can be funny- but this is just ignorant hatred. I hope he is called to task for this hate-mongering (something more than his P.R. Agency simply typing up a canned apology).

  140. theresa says:

    @68 Leigh

Thanks for the great post! Unfortunately, since you dared to bring up actual SCIENCE, toto too and his/her ilk, (or ick as it is often spelled), won’t be able to read or understand a single word of it. They won’t care either. Not only are they blissful in their ignorance, they are intent upon spreading it.

  141. Sum commenters here are claiming self-righteousness like they have never said hateful things to anybody in their entire life before, and justifying their actiön by critizing TracyMorgan’s words, don’t you think you are behaving just like him by judging him. “Dont judge be their witness” the Bible says

  142. MarenGermany says:

I hope this is the end of his career

  143. Tali says:

I’ve been boycotting Tracy Morgan and anything he’s associated with since 05/06 when he came to my college to perform and began making crude jokes about women being bitches and then launched into oral sex jokes. This was an event that was advertised for everyone so once those jokes started people began getting up in groups and walking out of his performance.

  144. Franny says:

Also, for all you commenters looking for a really funny comedian who isn’t crass or offensive, go listen to brian regan. He really its the funniest person I have ever listened to.

  145. kasper says:

i don’t know who this is.

  146. Franny says:

    from jezebel:

Tina Fey has issued a statement in response to Tracy Morgan’s rant:
“The violent imagery of Tracy’s rant was disturbing to me at a time when homophobic hate crimes continue to be a life-threatening issue for the GLBT Community,” Fey tells E! News in a statement.”

Fey went on to say that comic’s rant, “doesn’t line up with the Tracy Morgan I know, who is not a hateful man and is generally much too sleepy and self-centered to ever hurt another person,” adding, “I hope for his sake that Tracy’s apology will be accepted as sincere by his gay and lesbian coworkers on 30 Rock, without whom Tracy would not have lines to say, clothes to wear, sets to stand on, scene partners to act with, or a printed-out paycheck from accounting to put in his pocket.”

Alec Baldwin’s response was a bit shorter, with a simple Tweet reading: “Oh that Tracy.”

  147. eternalcanadian says:

Oh that was so, so wrong what Tracy did. I mean that’s why kids today are messed up. When people like Tracy mock or demean something like sexuality (which we all know in 2011 is NOT A CHOICE IT IS A FREAKING BIOLOGICAL INSTINCT JUST LIKE YOUR SKIN COLOUR, HAIR COLOUR, EYE COLOUR!) it just reinforces their fears and encourages bullying and teasing that leads to the suicides of young kids.

Shame on Tracy Morgan. Shame on him from here to infinity.

Unlike Eileen, there are no out gay people in my family or anyone that I would think is gay. We have other issues that used to be stigmatized but are not. Like her family tree, the distribution is interesting. Alcoholism in the male line and panic/anxiety disorder in the female line. I think homosexuality will eventually lose it’s stigma as well.

I agree with her that it is not a choice. WHY would anyone choose a lifestyle that marginalizes them vs. the easy way and really HOW can you. I find the thought of being with a woman as horrid as my gay friends find being with a man. As long as I don’t have to do it I don’t care what they do and vice-versa. I really do not understand how anyone still believes it’s a choice. That makes as much sense as my choosing to have panic disorder.

Except that what he said are statements, not jokes.

Primitive ideas and using a god as an excuse to hate, blegh.

@Franny: Co-sign that! Brian Regan is frickin’ hilarious!

Hollywood is so hypocritical. How many celebs have called out Hangover 2 for its blatant racism? How many celebs have commented about Lisa Lampanelli or Chelsea Handler who constantly use both racist and homophobic jokes (Lampanelli) in their acts?
I don’t condone one word out of Morgan’s mouth but the selective outrage is annoying. He should have just spouted racist and misogynistic humor and then he’d no doubt be bound for an emmy.

I think it’s JUST as ridiculous to hate people who hate gay people, as it is to hate gay people.

Gay people are free to be gay.

People who don’t agree with the gay lifestyle and who find it hard to understand, are free to feel that way.

Hating those who hate, is just creating more hate.

See the thing is, it doesn’t sound like a joke, as the last part of that highlighted section suggests. Just sounds like him loudly stating his opinion in an obnoxious fashion.

So we saw TM do standup this weekend in SF…wow, worst comedy act of all time. Not only is he an ignorant fool, he literally thinks he’s a God, talking sh%* about women nonstop. Even I could do standup comedy if all I had to do was talk crap about pussy, f-ing, buttholes, pooping, and say the same lines 5X over. Had more respect for him as an actor when all his lines were written for him (on SNL & thirty rock) but when he has to use his own brain, he sure is lacking! Plus he talks about how in love he is with his baby girl…but he was still scouting out the skankiest looking girls in the club… TM is disgusting and needs to quit doing standup all together! Now, I hate to compare but man, go see Dave Chappelle..you can tell how intelligent someone is if they’re a great comedian because they know about the world and can make anything funny without offending people. Dave Chappelle is the best standup comedian I have ever seen and so down to earth. He was a pleasure to talk to and I have never laughed so hard in my life so we saw him 4 times. Tracy Morgan, as far as I’m concerned, is an embarrassment to whatever company signs him! He is the most ignorant and arrogant fool I have ever seen do standup comedy… If it is all an act, I don’t know why he’d want to represent himself in such a crude way. In fact, he even talked about Michael Jackson coming back from the dead and giving him head.. Really TM? Really? Show was an absolute disappointment and all the shit talking about women only proved that he’s a slave to the Vagina! His mind is warped!
