Yesterday, Pop Sugar published a grainy photo of Leonardo DiCaprio looking chummy (but not sexy) with a tall blonde who was not Blake Lively. The photos were from last week, in NYC. Now, it’s pretty much assumed that whatever is between Blake and Leo, it’s not exactly exclusive. Leonardo was partying (and other stuff) with various models and other chicks while in the South of France, and Italy, I believe. And Blake doesn’t seem to have a problem with that. Perhaps her game is just that good. I don’t know, but I do know that every time there’s some random report or even a photo of Leo with another girl, Leo and Blake are suddenly “on vacation” at yet another beautiful locale. This time, Leo took Blake to Carmel, California, which is supposed to be a gorgeous little seaside town. Incidentally, Clint Eastwood has a home in Carmel (he used to be mayor of the town too). Clint directed Leo in J. Edgar, which comes out later this year. Did Leo take Blake to meet CLINT?!!? Oh, God.
On the heels of reports about a split, Blake Lively and Leonardo DiCaprio proved that they are very much still together with an ultra-private getaway to Carmel, Calif., last week.
The new couple browsed the main drag of the seaside town on June 16, stopping for afternoon coffee at the Carmel Coffeehouse & Roasting Company.
“Blake ordered two cappuccinos,” an onlooker tells PEOPLE. “One with whipped cream, and one without. But when she learned that the whipped cream was homemade, she added it to the second drink.”
“She was very sweet,” the source continues, adding that while Lively ordered, DiCaprio, waited outside with his signature baseball cap tucked low. The duo then took off for a stroll.
DiCaprio, 36, and Lively, 23, were first spotted together in November, shortly after the actress split from longtime beau Penn Badgley. The meeting was grouped, and at the time seemed like nothing more than a friendly outing.
Just a few months later, they seemed flirty at Jeremy Renner’s birthday party.
But it wasn’t until May – right after DiCaprio split from Bar Rafaeli – that he and Lively started getting cozy as the Cannes Film Festival ended. Since then, they have most notably traveled in Italy together.

When People Magazine starts to do these kinds of “every nuance analyzed in detail by passersby” reporting, I always think that the details are given by someone’s publicist. It’s starting to remind me of the Taylor Swift-Jake Gyllenhaal nonsense, as well as all of People’s “exclusives” on Jennifer Aniston throughout the years. Is this all Blake’s publicist’s doing? That might be part of it, but I also think Leo is signing off on much of this too, if not explicitly, then implicitly. He’s fine with everyone thinking he’s loved up with Blake. Blake’s hustle is really magnificent.

She looks so rough in some of these pictures for someone so young. Maybe it’s because I can see the excessive amount of makeup and don’t think it suits her. I’ve never seen how she looks without makeup but I bet it’s better.

it is a good observation that LDC gives BL presents or takes her on a vacation everytime some story or pic emerges of him partying with other girls.
i do think they are not exclusive and she takes this publicity / his presents as payment for this sham relationship

Quite disappointed in Leo – thought he’d grown up a bit and also quite disillusioned until I get picture proof to the contrary that this isn’t a manufactured coupling.

However this story is only coming out a week later, incidentally the day after a story comes out showing a video of him caught negotiating with a photographer to not publish pics of him flirting with a woman in NYC.

@soni – I think you’re right its early days and they may not be monogamous yet, I think the thing is that he/they are maybe using the media to manipulate people’s image of their relationship. The timing of the story about Carmel – Why come out a week after they were actually there? Perhaps to make sure the public believes they are in a relationship for whatever reason. Anyway no real proof either way, but I hope it’s not fake as they seemed nice together on the holiday.

I just really want to know what DiCaprio can get from this relationship. If he just want a girlfriend to make himself look less douchey or gain the publicity(which I don’t think is the case), he should totally get an actress with a good reputation, or at least less tabloid friendly, or maybe another model that nobody cares about. If he wants to cover some shady business(for example the herpes case) he should just lay low and avoid the gossip coverage at all. I keep thinking and can’t find one reason why he would want to have Blake Lively if he wants a fake girlfriend, so I’m just gonna say, it’s true love, or maybe Blake is super good in bed.

Finally, other people are starting to notice the mouth wide open poses. She’s been doing this since about November of last year. Gisele does this too btw. I just want to point this out.
Even as a fan of Leo’s I have to wonder wth is going on with this relationship. It’s like they want to put on a perfect media image and everything that they do blows up in their faces. I said this before: Everyone is assuming Lively wants MORE than just the ATTENTION (NOT respect, love, etc) of even being linked to his name in any manner is bringing her, so what does she care if he flirts?
As for DiCap using her for Oscar contention — isn’t she universally assumed to be the “Blind Item Girl” that could give “Superhead” a run for her money? The Academy members votes for The Oscars, and if this is who she’s “known” as amongst her peers, why would anyone be fooled into thinking he’s found a serious relationship with a 23 year old with that kind of…work experience?

I just hope Leo treats her different. Blake is truley one of a kind. Although she is I believe, 23 she is very strong, intellegent, and has a maturity about her beyond her years so age wouldn’t even be an issue. The thing I like about Blake is that she’s very real and just down to earth. I feel she’s the whole package.

If he wanted to get back with her he could just go see her whenever he wanted. The two were at Cannes but never once touched bases. It looked like she was the one that was trying to get his attention, not the other way around.
