Ben Affleck doesn’t know what Jennifer Garner sees in him

While promoting “Hollywoodland,” Ben Affleck said he’s not sure what his wife, Jennifer Garner, sees in him:

Affleck said: “I thank the Lord for my wife every day. I can legitimately, truthfully say I do not know what she sees in me.

“Family’s the most important thing, the center of my life.”

That’s kind of sweet and self-depricating. We hope these two have a long-lasting marriage and that Ben gets his career back.

There’s Oscar buzz around Ben’s performance as the troubled “Superman” actor George Reeves in “Hollywoodland.” Affleck even won the best actor award at the Venice Film Festival.

Pajiba says that Affleck’s performance is excellent, and that it’s a decent film worth seeing. It’s said to flip back and forth between two plots at different times without properly connecting them, and to feel unfinished. Overall it’s said to be worthwhile, and to have a film noir vibe.

Despite strong reviews, the box office returns on “Hollywoodland” are dissapointing. It took in only $1.8 million over the weekend.

Here’s Garner not looking pregnant at all – we were wrong – while out getting coffee on 9/8. I’m not obsessed has pictures of Garner and Affleck at the Hollywoodland premiere.

As I’m saying over and over again, I’m a big fan of this celebrity couple and it’s cute what Ben says about her – it’s always sweet when you’re so thankful for your partner that you almost think he/she’s too good to be true! They seem genuinely happy and I’m very happy for Ben that he won the award for Best Performance – after stupid movies like Daredevil or Jersey Girl, he hopefully finally tries to get more serious roles again! He’s a brilliant actor and shouldn’t hide his talent behind non-challanging roles..

    Hi Angelika,
Garner is one of my favorite celebrities because she’s so genuine. I really didn’t imagine her with Ben, but it says a lot for his character that she picked him! Hopefully this movie will revitalize his career and he’ll make better choices in the future. Once it comes here I will be sure to see it. He seemed to be caught up in the money and fame and wasn’t thinking about the roles (and girlfriends) he was taking, and it’s good that he took a break and regrouped.

I saw “Hollywoodland” on opening night, Sept. 8th. Ben was Oscar-worthy, Adrien
Brody was miscast and just plain irritating. The movie may not do well, but it’s worth going to see. Ben is a far, far better actor than people have given him credit for. His only problem in previous years was not choosing good scripts like Matt Damon has always done.
“Gigli” was horrid mainly because the script just.plain.stunk.

I’ve always liked Ben. His problem was throwing himself at the $$$ and not choosing the right projects. Overexposure was another. He’s clearly happy and fulfilled now, which allows him to relax and be himself. I think that Jennifer is adorable and very down to earth. I’m so glad she’s with him and not J.Lo. But maybe he needed J.Lo to appreciate Jennifer?

And we don’t know what she sees in him either!!!!
